Bloody Bloody Bible Camp (2012)
Hellacious Horror Opus
There is something for everyone in this wild, sexy and gory take on 80's horror films! From the unbelievable funny songs to the smoking hot (and naked) babes to the gory killings and the super-freaky cast, Bloody is by far the absolute best indie horror film to come out in years. It moves quick, delivers bloody (as the title suggest) and even has a campground to take you back to the greatest decade of horror - 1980s! Reggie Bannister is back in excellent form as the leader of this goofy pack of campers, and Tim Sullivan continues to entertain on the other side of the camera. And, if those two weren't enough, Ron Jeremy of adult film stardom is probably the craziest Jesus ever put on film. Do yourself a favor - watch this film. It is coming out on VOD very soon, I caught it at Texas Frightmare...
Side Sho (2007)
Solid horror flick
Side Sho surprised me as I thought I was in store for yet another dreadful independent horror film from Lionsgate. Boy was I wrong. From the imaginative opening credits to the "feel-at-home" setting of riding with the family, to the building terror of the shocks to be displayed, Side Sho is a solid horror film that will satisfy most fans of the genre. Great effects, attractive nubile young ladies, creepy freaks and good production values made it a wise rental. I have read varying reviews of the movie online, and I'm glad I took a chance with it. Some described the film as The Hills Have Eyes in the swamp, and I guess that is somewhat accurate. However, it is by no means just a simple knock-off of that famed film. Side Sho is well-above the common horror film out there, but yet not the best to come down the pike. Try it, you'll like it.
