9-1-1 (2018)
Please lose the masks
I've been watching this show since the beginning and enjoy it. I'm getting sick of the muffled dialogue due to the masks, though. I could understand it if it was a reality show but it's NOT. Now I'm using closed caption. I've ditched other shows because if it. 911 is probably next.
The Rookie (2018)
Never Miss It!
Nathan Fillion's character is such a great example of how life experiences can be priceless. Even though he is an older rookie, it is obvious that the other characters are slowly beginning to realize this. Officer Nolan is thoughtful, caring, intelligent, yet respectful. The entire cast mesh so well! While I hope this show is renewed for several seasons, I'm curious to find out how they will maintain his rookie status over time.
America's Top Dog (2020)
Exciting!
I love watching this show and my dogs watch with me! I hope the show is a success as the back stories are very interesting, the commentary is entertaining, and just watching the dogs get so excited is simply amazing. It's obvious these highly-trained dogs love their work and their handlers love them so very much. Such an uplifting show! I want every dog to win!
Signs (2002)
There were lots of signs in "Signs"
You should see this movie. It is full of signs, right down to the curtains in the house with crop circles as the pattern. I liked the acting. The kids were a little numb but I figured that was because they were still experiencing a great deal of grief. Being more patriotic than I've ever been before, I couldn't help but feel irritated when they reported that someone in the Mideast had discovered how to get rid of the aliens. Also, I couldn't help but notice how utterly defenseless the family was. No weapons except a baseball bat? That's what scared me the most. Was the director trying to tell us something about ourselves?
