Too dark and awful
25 November 2023
As a huge Agatha Christie fan I was looking forward so much to this movie.

I ended up so disappointed. To start with it was so dark in most scenes.

Way too gory in parts. Some of it felt like it was part of a slasher movie.

Kenneth Brannagh makes an excellent Poirot. He was the only highlight of this incredibly awful movie.

Dont waste your time watching this movie at all.

I wont post any spoilers but I do recommend fast forwarding to the end to see who the murderer was and their reason why.

Had too many useless characters only as filler so we could spend our time guessing.

Awful Awful Awful.

Don't Rock the Boat (1982–1983)

fun show
29 April 2008
I love this show. I don't think the previous reviewer had actually watched it. Boatyard owner Jack falls for showgirl Dixie who is much younger than himself. Jack (Nigel Davenport) has been a widower for years.

He surprises his 2 sons Les and Billy with a new wife.

Most of the show is about how Dixie copes with the 2 boys who are unhappy with a much younger step mum. The boys have a hard time coping with a woman replacing their mother.

Over time they each come to like Dixie while the other one still dislikes her. They each find something comforting about her and unfortunately attractive too.

One of the funniest episodes was when Dixie was allowed to decorate a room in the house. Her taste was garish.

Tho the series didn't last too long it was quite enjoyable. You can definitely feel the 80's all the way thru.

I can remember watching this on a Monday night in the early 80's and thoroughly enjoying it.

If you'd like a flashback of nostalgia then this is the show for you.

Excellent true story
18 September 2002
I totally disagree with the last comments made. This has to be the best true story I've seen. The actors are all fantastic and make you believe the horrors that actually happened. At 89 minutes the movie isn't typically long. Just when you think its going to end there is another twist to the story. I watched this movie this morning and was glued to the screen the whole time. I'd give it 8 out of 10. Definately a movie to watch.
