Your expectations will NOT be exceeded
18 July 2019
This movie has fun moments specially when the story digs in the teenager awkward situation jokes and the classic stereotypes of the classic hillbilly hill American tourists embarrassing themselves in Europe. Besides that, it's very predictable, acting is poor by a majority of characters including some of the main ones. The MJ character has zero charisma and she always acts one character: the stone faced ankward antisocial teenager and the developing love feelings between her and Spider-Man feel forced and artificial. Who did this to a beloved character in the spoderman universe? Couldn't they have find a better suited actress? I hope the next movie to be better than this.

The headline says everything. Same plot, same story ending. Blatant plagiarism

A movie that tries to be too many things
20 October 2018
The first comic character movie has always the same problem: to have to explain the characters story to audience., but also it has to have action, or be funny, dark, have a romantic sub plot and so on. The director of this movie put everything in the basket and the result is a movie without personality that doesn't perform well in any direction. A missed chance for a popular marvel anti hero

At least the house was pretty

Don't try to understand this movie, is a complete mess, it will get you angry like a kid trying to solve a puzzle with lots of missing pieces. If you like modern architecture, I'm sure you'll enjoy the design, materials and decoration. That's the only interesting thing in this movie

Horrible movie, avoid at all costs
18 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Flat plot, even flatter performances, a bunch of jane and joe does characters, you could predict every turn of the story from miles away. What else is needed in this recipe for disaster? Oh yeah, the we are all doomed ending just to let you with that uneasy feeling that you have lost 2 hours of your life and not for entertainment. Where did all the production money go? Well, most of it to buy lots of suspension harnesses and ropes because recreating a zero gravity the entire movie surely was the most expensive part. The rest was deadpool's paycheck because a familiar face in the trailers surely would help revenue. And because he was the most expensive actor was the first to die. Should I continue? Honestly, the same way you should not lose more of your valuable time reading reviews about this crappy movie, you want to avoid it like the plague.

If this is the future of human race we deserve to go extinct
19 May 2017
Every sci-fi movie deserves to have a minimum of scenery, technology and common sense to look and feel real. I mean, we know everything on the screen is fiction. The gravity inside the spaceship so the crew can walk normally, the sleep chambers, the sound of explosions or engines in space, etc. But while we indulge those little details, there are others more important and those are the way people reactions and the way decisions are made. And that's the big flaw on this movie. If the aliens could express thoughts, they probably would ask themselves: how did those creatures manage to travel from deep space? They're so stupid. Every decision is wrong, they don't have any self preservation instinct. Are they the best they race can produce? They deserve to go extinct. I'm surprised by the poor script and even more by the fact that Ridley Scott didn't bother to fix it. Why is that gladiator is a good and congruent script and this one is a mess? Did he fired the writer? No one in Hollywood is in charge of criticize bad scrips? What happened? My 7 goes to special effects and nothing more. Personally, I keep the first two movies and figure the others never existed.

Main actress role totally disposable
23 September 2016
This movie is a combination of several movies about the Mexico - USA drug traffic drama. It's a mix that works, however it falls short in several places and the plot leaves too many holes in the plot. You should just watch it and avoid to make too many questions. But the most surprising aspectof this movie is the way the director wasted the role of the main female character played by Emily Blunt. I still don't understand why she accepted this role after reading the script. Her role in the movie is just a first row spectator. With or without her the movie plot had developed exactly the same way and her character doesn't even get a full explanation why she was invited to join the team in the first place. She is just dead weight. Probably they needed her name to help increase the movie revenue, probably she was bored or lose a bet. If you want a good read about the drug traffic look for Don Winslow's books, if you're lazy just watch this movie and end with a lot or questions.

Planes (2013)

This is geographically wrong!
9 August 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Besides a totally predictable film and all the characters are totally forgettable, without any of the brilliant moments of it's inspiration movie (cars), this movie also have a huge geographical mistake: The part of the race between Yucatan, Mexico and New York, we can see the planes flying through a big canyon (colorado canyon?) in their way to new york. Unless fly all the way west to Arizona and then go back north east to NY, which makes as many sense as going from LA to Denver but going to Hawaii first. Of course we can understand the idea of action scenes of planes making hard maneuvers in a canyon, but children should at least be entertained with true facts.

I wouldn't watch this movie again.
23 January 2011
My vote is divided here, because for actors performances i would give them a 10, DeNiro and Norton play their roles greatly and you couldn't expect less of such fine actors.

The plot of the movie... well.. i would hope the director put a legend at the end of the movie explaining what the hell was the whole thing. Because i didn't get it. The plot is very slow, predictable, and has no sense... if you liketo watch a 90 minute drama of some wasted life's go on... if you have better things to do with your time... go and watch something else. Definitely not the best movie for any of the involved actors.

Martyrs (2008)

Looking for a terror masterpiece? you got it!
23 April 2010
By far this is the most disturbing and brilliant plot i've ever seen on a horror movie.

At first i couldn't understand what's causing all this furious anger and sadistic behavior, but the movie's plot slowly develops by itself.

I only can tell you: if you have the guts to watch it to the end, you will be thinking for days about you've seen on this movie and the possibility of all these things could be real.

I've never seen anything like this, and i'm a horror movie fan. i like dark and twisted plots more than pointless blood with scary monsters, or the typical kill-a-teenager move where you hear the classic phrase: you get this way, i'will get this other way... then everybody dies.

Martyrs is a movie that deserves respect. Maybe you will be as amazed with this movie like me, maybe not. But i'm sure you won't be indifferent.

Look for it, rent it, grab your balls. Watch it, alone with lights off. Your won't be disappointed.

Totally failed comedy
11 April 2010
I must confess i saw this movie because of the good comments post on this page. After losing about 1 and half hours of my life i feel compelled to write this review to warn others about being as disappointed as i am.

First, i am Mexican, and i try to support movies made in my country, but this the example of what not to do or how not to waste money making a movie.

This movie plays with some of the most sordid aspects of the Mexican society. Shows the pathetic life of some low level magician, and his cohort of friends who are also pathetic.

I didn't understand to which type of audience was the movie pretended, because the low class Mexican which kind of living is depicted in the movie would'n go to a teather to see it, not to mention that nobody is going to laugh of watching their own misery exalted and reflected on a movie. Medium and high class audience will be offended and insulted with poor argument and the lots of gross situations and the exaggerated scenes which plagues this movie, which i must say: does not reflect what life in this country is.

So, what was the movie idea? i don't know, i even fall asleep in some parts of the movie, and my wife and i came out of the teather feeling like robbed.

It makes me remember a time when low budget producers filmed movies about hookers and ordinary characters playing roles of plumbers, construction workers and so on... with lots of sexual thematic roles, plagued of insults, sexual harassment and every avoidable conduct.

in 3 words: Don't watch it!

P.S: sorry for my not so good English!
