Pungo was such a fun ride. A visual trip into horror and humor. A really intriguing idea, horror, and quantum physics! I was thoroughly entertained, thrilled, laughed out loud, and was engaged. Well done.

A fun film, I felt like a fly on the wall.
27 April 2021
I stumbled across this movie and it made me feel like I went out. It was so fun and entertaining. I can't believe they made this movie for such little money. It was refreshing and entertaining about a group of friends It almost felt like a documentary, or that I was a fly on the wall.

Suspenseful!
27 April 2021
This is a really suspenseful and intense indie drama. I was intrigued from the beginning to the end. When a group of friends finds a dead body in their car it brings up all sorts of moral questions. The film is well-acted and filmed. If you like suspense you'll love this film.

A stunning film that sheds a light on incarceration and the trauma it inflicts.
14 April 2021
This is a stunning portrait of an increabily strong woman trying to keep her family together after a realised mistake of armed robbery when her and her husband were young. The justice system only works if you also hope that people are rehabilitated to be given a second chance. Just locking up people does not make sense. The family is torn apart, what that does to so many homes, trauma without ever dealing with the rippling effects a system breaking people not helping them. Thank goodness they were both increabily strong people turning this into their strengths and their beautiful boys also growing into strong capable men. A beautifully directed film fill of heartbreak and awe.

A gem of a film. Beautiful and authentic.
20 March 2021
I was absolutely surprised by this gem of a film. I could see why it did well at so many festivals. A story about two friends so beautifully acted with authenticity and depth that it never felt contrived. In less adept hands this film could not have worked. It was so well acted and directed that it felt like I was watching something so private and personal. Two friends who have everything in front of them, love, living, and ultimately the choices they make alter who they will become. I highly recommend this film to all. LOVED IT.

A powerful film about dreams and how to pursue them. This film almost felt like a documentary, it was so real, raw and honest. Those struggling with the courage to pursue what you want, no matter what it is will love this film. Well done, real and moving.

Such a good feel good movie.
25 January 2021
I love romantic comedies, and I was pleasantly surprised by Threebound. The dialogue was so natural and the dynamic between the characters and the fear to commit and move forward in their relationship without giving too much away. If you're looking for a feel good movie watch Threebound. Well done team.

An interesting and engaging film.
6 January 2021
The lead character, a director with a cult following wants to make a movie. So many interesting moments, humour, twist and odd 80's retro feel to this film. The actor Nicolas Tucci was excellent, that is what kept me engaged the entire time. An interesting and engaging indie film.

A beautiful poignant film.

Warning: Spoilers
I am stunned by the bad reviews. I thinks most people are missing the point of this visual stunning film, and a heart breaking beautiful performance by Clooney. Midnight Sky asks the viewers to feel the frightening, cold landscape within and outside. What are the choices that Augustine made to leave him all alone on earth. The little girl he is left fending for is the haunting of a choice he could of made. What are the choices we made in life to get out civilisation to the point of disaster? This parallel Augustines choice, his painful illness and a ship of astronauts trying to come back home to earth. The staggeringly beautiful images, both visually and also acted by Clooney and young Caoilinn Springall will leave the viewer wandering, what choices have I made in my life? What impact will they have in the world? What kind of world, life, love and I standing up for? There is so much in this film, that is can be a wake up call for a world we do not want to abandoned in like Augustine.

A fun watch with so many twists and humour.
3 January 2021
I felt like watching something fun and Mandao Returns did not disappoint. I thought I may have to watch part one of this sequel but it was easy to pick up here. The characters are delightful, their world playing with desires, astral travel, strange cult leaders and time. This film took some deep questions about life, the soul and our purpose going into this world with humour , camp and laughs.

A gritty look at addiction.
16 December 2020
Wow, what a suspenseful, crazy night, these characters had. Addiction is not pretty and this film depicts so well the harsh desperation of addiction. The performances were real, raw, and painful to witness. Jeffrey Dean plays Pigeon and is excellent, I believed his desperation. Both leads made me want to show this film to my son as a warning, but also as well-made story and film.

A great little indie film that deals with universal themes we can all relate to. I watched this with a friend, I thought it was made like a documentary , so real I thought it was a documentary at first. Jamie Leopold and Jennifer Smieja were so real and moving with great chemistry.

I love comedies and movies that just make you feel good. Northwood Pie is one of those movies that is just fun, that remind us all of those relatable and awkward moments in life. This coming of age comedy is great if you ever wondered how awkward, misunderstood and funny finding yourself and what you want can be.

A moving and authentic indie film.
7 December 2020
I really enjoyed this moving indie film. What I loved about the Extraordinary Ordinary is that it felt very authentic and real. The main character is struggling with anxiety about a previous event and how to cope with it as she moves away to find her own strength and independance. It was really well told and acted.

A feel good relatable relationship film.
28 November 2020
Relationships are complicated, and this film is one we can all relate to. The Big Chill kind of premise, getting a group of friends together in a house for the weekend brings up all sorts of conflicts among the couples. A well-acted and told film, I really enjoyed it.

20 October 2020
My son loves boxing and I never realised how many benefits there were to "fighting."Why We Fight is an engaging, well-made film giving an in-depth look at the benefits of boxing, training, and confidence-building. This is for anyone who wants to improve in anything. I really enjoyed it.

A lovely film about doing what you love being the journey!
14 October 2020
This was really a lovely film about allowing life to lead you to doing what you love. The film follows a band, a lovely group of musicians trusting in music and doing what you love to lead the way. There are so many films about ambition, pushing to "GET SOMEWHERE" this was so refreshing to allow the journey and now the destinations. An the gem was the sweet music and beautiful seaside road trips and venues along the way.

A compelling horror film!
9 October 2020
Reaptown kept me on the edge of my seat. Carrie leaves prison on a release program to go look for her sister. She arrives in a haunting small town by the train tracks which made a great setting for the film to take place. Very well shot and directed with a great score.

This post apocalyptic film kept me on the edge the entire time.
24 September 2020
This post apocalyptic film kept me on the edge the entire time. I don't usually watch these films but my eighteen year old loves them. Wow, in a very bleak world where everyone is trying to survive trauma, cannibalism and trying to find a way to a better world. This indie film is well acted, shot and the pacing moves well. If you like these kind of films this is a suspenseful watch.

More answers to very compelling questions.
25 August 2020
There is so much we can learn about other life on other planets. I Want to Believe is a nice in-depth film posing these questions that most of us want to know and interviews and answers by those who have first-hand experiences. A well put together documentary. It makes you keep pondering, learning, and exploring and that's a good thing.

Loved this Rom-com shot in New Zealand.
23 August 2020
I love romantic comedies and this film did not disappoint. Guy Pigden directed and acted in this very relatable rom-com. Alex struggles between two women and his yearning for how love should feel. This is a very well acted and written film. Shot beautifully in Aukland and London. I highly recommend this film.

A fun ride. Great comic and horror mix.
19 August 2020
Nicole is definitely a fun ride, a nice blend of horror and comedy. The lead actress is wonderful and so is the fun dialogue and black and white cinematography and world. I love the Hitchcock homage and then the shift to color when her world gets better. I was thoughtfully entertained by this first date gone wrong, full of yearning, haunting of past trauma. This was a really well-done indie film.
