Mukti Bhawan (2016)
only for art film lovers
Positive points - brilliant performance by Adil Hussain, locales of Kashi and philosophy of the film
negative points - quite slow paced, needs patience.
overall those who can watch a slow paced art film, should go for it.
102 Not Out (2018)
decent one time watch
The movie definitely has charm and a very good message to say, but could have been better.
positive points - performances of all three actors - Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Jimit Trivedi, good concept, few good moments
negative points - songs were okay, story could have been a bit better, average direction for a good concept
over all a one time watch for big b, chintu fans.
Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2016)
quite decent
The film shows daily life challenges faced by Mumbaikars (or in almost all the metro cities) apart from their gender, their religion, their believes.
plus points - down to earth performances, real problems, real solutions, real life story telling, fresh feeling
negative points - stretched second half due to avoidable songs
overall, a nice one time watch.
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero (2018)
deserved better
The film totally failed in commercial markets, but it deserved to be above average. especially because it could have been a good franchise.
plus points: vikramaditya motvane's direction, writing, performances, few good action scenes, gripping vigilante theme, use of mumbai's local places
negative points: non starry lead, stretched in bits, un-entertaining at places, low promotion
over all a one time watch that shouldn't be missed especially for those who love vigilante, superhero themed movies/series.

repeat value - definitely yes
totally refreshing movie. a must watch.
Aarakshan (2011)
forget the title, enjoy the film..
An Open letter to the direct:
Dear Prakash Jha,
Just came back from your movie Aarakshan, and couldn't stop myself writing you this letter. You made a quite decent movie with fantastic performances from the actors, but the movie could have named "Prabhakar" or "Shiksha" and wrongly named "Aarakshan" if you ask me. Yes the movie is not entirely based on the issue of reservation but is based on issue of commercialization of education and one man - Dr. Prabhakar Anand (played by Big B)'s fight towards that issue and his suffering due to his principles. The name of the movie and publicity of the movie based on the single issue of reservation depicts the viewers and can disappoint the viewers who wants to watch a master piece on this burning issue from the director of caliber like you.
Anyways, if one ignores the depiction or he/she knows that this movie is not entirely based on that issue would surely enjoy the film as it's quite well-made and as earlier said with really good performances by Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpeyi, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. Most characters, be it Prabhakar Anand (big b), Deepak Kumar (saif ali khan), Dr. Mithilesh(Manoj Bajpeyi), Sushant (Pratiek Babbar), Purbi (Deepika), Prabhakar's wife (Tanvi Aazmi), Tabelawala (Yashpal Sharma), Inspector Thakur (Mukesh Tiwari), Corrupt Politician (Saurabh Sharma), Dalit Neta (dont know his name), Pandit (dont know his name too) are well defined and this is the USP of the film.
Negative points can be film's excessive length, and though some characters like Deepak Kumar or Sushant getting less scope, and depiction as earlier mentioned.
Music doesn't let you down, but couldn't generate more curiosity too.
Performance wise every body performs really well, but it's an Amitabh Bachchan film clearly, though Manoj Bajpeyi also impresses equally.
Overall, this film could be a gr8 film (like Gangajal - just watched it again yesterday on a satellite channel) but it just manages to be a good decent film.
regards, a film fan - Hardik Raychanda
P.S. : film has nothing to make it controversial.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)
fantastic... go for it..
Review in form of an open letter to Farhan Akhtar,
Dear Farhan,
You simply rock. As director you have created all brilliant films, your debut film Dil Chahta Hai is a cult film, which inspired all directors of India to make fresh looking light hearted urban films. Then came Lakshya, which was not commercially that successful, but was nevertheless a good film. Don, from which I expected nothing, hated the idea as the original starring Big B is one of my most fav Big B film, was splendid and established you as master. As producer, you have attempted fantastic films too. And now as an actor, you are getting better and better day by day. You rocked in Rock On, you were fantastic in LBC and KCK and in ZNMD too you have successfully stolen the show from my favorites Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol who have established themselves as good actors.
Your role in the film is quite meatier and helps you stealing the show. Hrithik (whom you originally wanted to cast in DCH) is again fantastic in serious-all-business-minded-guy and changed-in-love-living-life-guy both. Abhay Deol is as always dependable, his tricks in the films are hilarious. Chemistry between you three is awesome. It feels like three real friends are on road trip.
I hope you make sequel to this as producer, keeping Zoya on director's seat again, as I think, she was brilliant as director. She might have lived her life with lots of male friends as it not for a single moment seems like a film directed by lady director (which was the only minus point of LBC from my point of view). Hoping to see more from her.
Dialogues are fantastic and makes one laugh, smile and think for sure. Story, Screenplay and Script are marvelous. Music is in rhythm with film's flow.
All positive – No. Something minor which I found not-so-positive was Katrina's suitability for Laila's role and SEL's music. Katrina has done decent work compared to her past films, but fails to convince what her character needs to convince (and though I don't like Kariena that much, but I feel she suited for this role very much) though Hrithik being her counter part balances very well, and Hrithik and Katrina looks good together. SEL's music is not as great as their former films, though manages to please.
Fav Moments in the film: Too many. Though listing some of them.
1. Kabeer's all tricks 2. Imran's flirt with Laila and her friend 3. Imran's each funny comment 4. Imran – Arjun fights 5. Bagwati 6. Each Poetry recited by Imran 7. The moments which inspires those Poetries 8. In the Air Scenes 9. Imran & Salman's meeting 10. Imran & Arjun's meeting their after 11. Kabeer's Flashback 12. Arjun crying after Underwater 'Meditation'
All and over, it's not DCH, it's not Rock On. Though, it has shades of both the films, but it's quite different story to tell and as it has many pleasing moments, one must watch it.
