She's Too Young (2004)
So very true
I wish that more teenagers would see this, then they may realize the consequences of having sex. My 61-year-old mom was shocked and asked me if that's how it was when I was in high school 10 years ago. If more parents would see this, maybe their eyes would be opened a bit more and they may be more inclined to stop all of this wanton sex. Parents don't realize what they send their children to when they go to school every day. I know that I definitely homeschooling whenever I adopt my child for reasons such as these, not to mention the peer pressure. Real teen life is very, VERY truly portrayed in this movie, the peer pressure about sex, the torture that many school outcasts go through - more people need to see it!
Juwanna Mann (2002)
Funny
This movie was funny, but really reminiscent of "Big Momma's House". If you enjoy the movies where people go in disguised as someone else, you would like this movie. It is a pretty funny movie and I would probably watch it again.
Rosewood (1997)
Excellent
This movie is an EXCELLENT film all the way around! The drama was presented perfectly and everything seemed so "real". This movie should DEFINITELY be seen by everyone over 12! It really shows the heart of the African-American struggle.
Separate But Equal (1991)
Could have been great
This movie was really good, but it was really draggy and it could have been finished in one video instead of two. There were a lot of unnecessary talking and scenes, but it was still a very educational movie. 2½ stars out of 5.
Amistad (1997)
Powerful
(Contains spoilers)
I rarely cry in movies, but this one is a tearjerker, especially when those people are chained and being rolled off of the ship, how the one woman is screaming and crying before she goes to drown in the water. The other part that really got me is when the one girl gave birth and then died, and also when they were beating the men. This movie truly proves the point that people fear what they don't understand.
The Long Walk Home (1990)
Wow!
This movie should be shown to every White person over the age of 16! The reason I say that is because it tells the cold, hard truth of what Blacks had to go through back in the 60's and it's not sugarcoated at all. It's not being said to make people feel guilty over something that they probably never took part in, but to educate people in what most public school systems DON'T teach about. As someone of primarily Native American descent who considers themselves pretty educated about Black history, I myself was very shocked and saddened at the brutality that Black Americans had to face (and still do at times). A picture (or movie) is worth a thousand words. This movie would be educational to everyone who views it. I would definitely recommend this movie to others.
Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996)
Bad, bad, bad.
(mild spoilers)
This movie was filthy and stupid. It could have done well without the constant humping and nude sex. It was also very profane. I think that they had a good story developing, but they messed up the whole thing by overdoing it.
Shallow Hal (2001)
It was ok
As a big woman (I once weighed over 400 lbs.), I can say that this movie was good, although far-fetched. You can tell that it wasn't made by any heavy/big people. Some of the events that happened in there I found mildly offensive, but the general public *is* cruel to heavy people, unfortunately. It does show that people need to look on the inside instead of the outside, though. Not all big people are insecure or desperate for a mate. And some men like big women. For those who do have bad self-esteem or hate themselves, it's due to the kinds of people like those in the movie who make half-reared remarks about heavy people that they don't even know are offensive. All in all, I'd say this is a 5/10.
Adventures in Babysitting (1987)
Great movie!
Classic 80's movie, I loved it when I first saw it. I was in 2nd grade at the time, and haven't stopped watching it ever since. Not many movies can make that kind of impression on me, but I guess being born and raised in the country, it gave me a view of city life that I had never experienced before. This one is a keeper!

Fear Factor (2001)
Great show!
This is a really good show. It's not for people with weak stomachs, though. I'm glad that the television companies have finally gotten the guts to air something like this on TV. The stunts they do and the things they eat (or things that munch on them) are completely shocking. Kudos to the people who think of these stunts!
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)
This SUCKED!
Out of alllll the movies I've seen, this has been one of the dumbest! The whole time, you get to watch people in everyday life do normal things, while some guy speaks in monotone. It makes absolutely no sense at all. There's not even a story to it. It just runs on and runs on and runs on....
Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
Stupid
This movie was really dumb. I didn't even watch but the first 10 minutes of it. The humor was in bad taste, too. If you're a pervert, you'd like this movie. This isn't a movie you would want to watch with Grandma.
A Night at the Roxbury (1998)
GREAT MOVIE!!
This movie is one of my absolute favorites! The comedy is great, you don't go for 5 minutes without laughing. I could watch this movie everyday for a week and not get tired of it. Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell make a *great* comedy team!
Problem Child (1990)
LOVE IT!
I watched it when it first came out (I was in 4th grade), and I'd watch it again 12 years later! This movie is soooo funny! I know it can be immature at times, but that's what makes it so funny! The sequels are also good!
