Adventure Time: Elements Part 1: Skyhooks (2017)
Interesting Direction
After Islands, I was worried how the series would continue, but it turns out I was just being exaggerated, because oh my Glob it's getting even better. This being Episode 2 of Part 1 of a Two-Part of Thirty Episode Final Season, I can already say everybody important will get their moment to shine.
This mini series seems to be concentrating on Ice King and Betty, hopefully to fully flesh out their characters, as well as Peebles, learning to not be a psycopath and kill people, and the 'Elements' Arc with Patience Saint Pim, an underrated character that I wish we'd see more frequently.
SPOILERS: This episode is a strong start, learning that basically everybody is candy now, raising the stakes with nobody being aware of how toxicly positive they are behaving. Hopefully, this is the last part of Bonnie's Multiple-Seasoned Ajrc about 'accepting' others.
PB is one of the most well-rounded characters in AT, she's so nicely done and her development feels natural and logical, unlike other characters, it's really satysfying to see her transformation from a smart but hard sociopath scientist to a likeable and caring friend who tries her best.
Adventure Time: Islands Part 6: Min and Marty (2017)
Best Of Seasons 6,7,8 & 9
This episode is great, in fact, I'd say it's almost perfect.
Although I consider Islands to be the worst out of the three miniseries because there's so much filler and the ending is not that good, this is the best episode of the more recent seasons, including Stakes and Elements.
Let's start with who is, in my opinion, the most character in this miniseries: Martin Mertens.
Until now, you must've thought he was just a bad dad who is just interested in protecting himself, even if it means leaving everybody else behind, but, thanks to this episode, he's just become one of the most mysterious and interesting characters. You can see his story through two different viewpoints:
You can either think abandoning the islands and his family was always his goal, that he never changed, that he always was a selfish con artist or that, after saving Finn from being killed, some catastrophical event happened that made him go back to his old ways.
I'd suggest it's the latter, and I have a good reason to believe it is. Until Islands, we only know Martin was in the citadel in which only the worst villains are kept in there, having commited a cosmic crime or something like that. I suppose Martin might have been taken there because he basically hurt the Guardian to save his son. If this is the case, then it all fits perfectly, after that, Martin is frozen and gradually loses his memories and by the time Finn meets him it's too late, he's already forgotten everything.
Unfortunately, I think this is not the right answer. There were rumours that Min & Marty would also delve into what happened with Martin after he fought the Guardian, and there were sketches of Martin being on a boat after their encounter. By seeing those pictures, the event that led Martin to the Citadel must've been more forward in time.
Although Martin gets most of the praise, Minerva is also a good character, having a lovable personality and good intentions, that is, until the next episode.
Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake and Fionna (2017)
Overhated
It's sad to see an episode like this be hated, and, although I understand the reasons, you're forgetting that this episode wants you to think it is related to Fionna and Cake when it actually isn't.
The obvious twist about the old Fionna was really funny, you'd expect a monster or something powerful but instead it's just an old lady with giant ears that wants more stories about Fionna and Cake. She wasn't even trying to kill somebody or something, she just wants more comics about them.
I will say that the ending is not that climactic and it's actually pretty weird, with Fake Fionna running to her house and having a 'post credits' scene that isn't explained by the end of the series.

Adventure Time: Donny (2010)
An OK Episode With Messed-up Morals
This episode has the most messed-up ending with the worst morals of all time. Instead of teaching kids to try and help people become nicer and friendlier, this episode has the protagonists make a good guy become bad again.
For older viewers, this should be a really fun and original episode, with a bittersweet ending, but for kids, this is like telling them that instead of helping people by defending the weak, you should make others defend them by turning them into a bad person that wants to punch everybody . Logically the ending makes sense, but morally, the lesson it tells is really messed up.

Adventure Time: I Remember You (2012)
Great Overrated Episode
Although I love this episode, I have to admit it's a bit overrated to me, I obviously loved the interactions between the characters, the jokes and the songs, but to a story telling level, it's great but not amazing or mind-blowing.
Maybe I'm saying this because I was so hyped for this episode that I was going to be some inevitably disappointed, but stil, it felt like it was missing something.
Other than that, this is where the series really started to show what it was capable of doing: funny, heartfelt and sometimes tragic stories about friends, enemies, families and the world in general.

Adventure Time: Ketchup (2017)
Interesting Dynamic
Out of all the characters we got in this show, I would never have imagined a talking calculator and a thousand year old vampire got together to talk about their adventures and experiences.
After so many 'heavy' episodes recently, it's nice to have a breath of fresh air, even if it's mostly about past events you already know about.
One thing that surprised me in a good way was the originality and randomness of this episode, it doesn't feel forced or anything, you could say it's filler though, but it shows you how much has happened lately from a different point of view and animation.

Adventure Time: Elements Part 8: Skyhooks II (2017)
Great Ending
The ending was good, mostly loved what they did with LSP, I was really sad when I found out that lumpiness wasn't one of the main elements, fortunately though, they did something even better with it!
Only problems I had with this one is that they sacrificed LSP's development in exchange for a cool ending and that Patience basically dies out of nowhere. I liked Patience a lot, I thought she was one of the more interesting villains in the series.
I think this one is probably the least entertaining out of the three miniseries but it's the most consistent, smart and probably important of them too.

Adventure Time: Elements Part 7: Hero Heart (2017)
Finn's been Betty-traid!
It's weird to see that, out of all the interesting characters in this series, they choose Lumpy Space Princess to be the main character in this miniseries. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just unusual.
LSP really shines in this episode, from being desperate to save Finn to try saving the world and the Enchiridion, it's just amazing. The fight between the Fire and Candy Kingdom is really fun and ironic in a way, this episode shows how powerful Peebles can become.
The ending, although a little predictable, sets up the finale pretty good, finally seeing Betty in action even if it's for 2 seconds is amazing! I hope she appears more often.

Adventure Time: Elements Part 6: Happy Warrior (2017)
Oh my Glob
After the last episodes exploring the Slime Kingdom and the Ice one, it was obvious the Fire Kingdom was next.
What I find extremely compelling about this episode is how it starts and you already go right to the plot, no filler. It was nice seeing FP again, even though she was a horrible dragon that made everybody fight each other for fun. It's really nice how Finn, after being heartbroken because of Jake's 'death' basically gives up and surrenders to fight with the others to death and LSP is up to save everyone.
I'm shocked to say it, but LSP has gotten a bit of development over the seasons, Season 1 LSP wouldn't have risked her life to save Ooo. Even if she donked up in the end with her speech, it's still nice to see her trying.

Adventure Time: Elements Part 5: Slime Central (2017)
Good Episode
First of all, the episode itself isn't that good, but what it sets up is great. I have already finished watching all the miniseries and, honestly, this is where you really start to see what they're going for.
Most of the episode was good, I really liked the visuals, they were so dreamy and chill, they fit perfectly with the vibe. The story was fine too, LSP really stands out to me for being so sassy and entertaining all the time, sometimes though she can be a little overkill, so I hope they don't use her too much.
Only thing that wasn't good was the skating battle with the other team in Slime Central, it felt kind of boring.

Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu: The Oni and the Dragon (2018)
The Oni and the Dragon
¡Oh my Glob! This episode has so much stuff to unpack, starting with how much lore it adds to the first realm and the first spinjitzu master, it's a really fun way to explore ninjago's origins, while re-introducing what seems like an interesting character.
The main (or B?) plot is also amazing, it really helps move forward Cole's arc this season seems to be aiming for in a really funny way while also giving Zane finally something to do after having 3 seasons damage his character.
The villains (especially Mr. E) feel really menacing and look promising. Them calling themselves 'Sons Of Garmadon' is also threatening and it's probably the best title for any season ever.

Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu: The Mask of Deception (2018)
The Mask Of Deception
This was the best intro they could've done for the season.
After the dissappointing season 7 and movie, Ninjago was doomed to reach a new low with season 8, but, like the title says, we were decieved. Season 8 starts with us following six ninjas, presumably the team, trying to steal a priceless artifact from a building. When they'e about to steal it, Lloyd appears and, although they get away, he manages to save the mask. That already is an amazing start with a twist that only good writers would be able to do. This, above all else, is what I like most about this season. The twists, the characters, it's all amazing.
After that, we get to see how the real team is doing before getting invited to the 'royal palace' of the 'royal family' which was never mentioned until their convenient appearance in this episode. That, honestly, is my only complaint, apart from that, great start.
