Meh !

Entertaining , Ben foster as always is brilliant , Christian bale was good , just didn't have enough to work with and Russel Crow was Russel Crow. Storyline is just ridiculous in parts. Ruins the whole thing. With them three actors it should have been 10/10

Great movie , came across it on Netflix , didn't know what to expect, really good acting , so good that you forget you're watching people act. Great story. Makes me want to find out more about Molly Bloom. Don't know if all the 'facts' are correct but no harm. Makes for one great story.

Watched five minutes thought no not for me. Went back a few months later and watched it again , Mads is brilliant and Matt Lucas is kinda Matt Lucas so that's hilarious. Is it Jason Bourne or the terminator? Is it little Britain or the passion of Christ ? What type of movie is it ? It's certainly original. Really entertaining , completely over the top. I hope there is a sequel.

Great acting from two main leads

Wow Colin Farrell can act . Noomi Rapace can too. Script was a bit weak in places and the story took a few dramatic licences to keep going . Otherwise good entertaining movie. Ten out of ten for Farrell's performance minus one for some flaws in the movie itself.

David Brent: Life on the Road (2016)

Not the office , good in it's own right

The office was amazing , so witty , so funny , everything was comedic perfection. This is just not on the same level. It is however funny in its own right and great entertainment from Ricky Gervais. Just to see David Brent in action again is brilliant . It's more of a story and insight into humanity and one persons attempt to make a go of something with a positive outlook . Good for you Ricky and thanks for giving us David once more , great job !

Trailer Park Boys (2001–2018)

Hilarious

I'm on season seven. It just gets funnier and funnier. How do they come up with the most ridiculous storylines ever ? Ever character is brilliant , it would be unfair to rate one above the other. Rickyisms are great , bubbles , mr Lahey, j roc , Randy , Phil Collins , Julian and his glass . It shouldn't really work but but it just gels so well together.

The Irishman (2019)

The best did the best they could

The best director and the best actors did the best they could . It was great to see them all together. Many of the scenes were great . The dialogue was great. The direction and camera work was great . However until Frank Sheeran became an old man everyone was miscast . The de-aging may or may not have worked for some people. I just couldn't see past the physical movements of an older person. The body language just was not right. People are saying it was a snooze fest. Maybe it was however it finished really well. It was great to see these legends of the screen together. Pity they couldn't have made this movie thirty years ago. I know , goodfellas but al wasn't in it . I'm glad I watched it , I'm glad Marty made it. I enjoyed it.

Arctic (2018)

Too much !

Too much misery , too much pain , really hard to watch , must have been miserable even to act out the role , phenomenal performance! I watched it on Netflix, did so in instalments , too tough to watch straight through , I have to give it eight stars purely for Mads acting , the lone acting with minimal dialogue reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis at the start of There Will be Blood. He is that good in my opinion. If you want light entertainment forget it !

Hilarious !

I watched the initial webisodes on you tube and thought they were very good. I was skeptical of RTE taking over and thought the spontaneous improvise between Eddie and Buzz would have been curtailed. Maybe it was but none of the magic has been lost. This is most hilarious fresh humor to come from Irish comedy since Father Ted. The one liners, particularly from Buzz are gold. How they manage to do it with a straight face is a mystery. The ridiculousness of Chris Tordoff as the viper is a breath of fresh air. Great take on Irish rural life through the eyes of complete idiots who ooze charm. When you find yourself rooting for them you know you are being entertained with true escapism.

This is the funniest movie I have ever seen . Gross , immature , ridiculous, silly , childish , disgusting , puerile.What more could a 42 year old man child want ? Brilliant on every level ! Genius ! Hilarious ! Great social commentary !

T2 Trainspotting (2017)

This is a good movie ! Ok the plot is thin and it is not as good as the first. However the acting is good . The fight scene between Renton and sick boy is brilliant , sick and hilarious . I don't think the story is predictable and it's fun. It does not take you on the horrific emotional roller coaster ride of the first . I don't think any other movie could . It pays homage to the first well without trying to emulate it completely. Congrats to Danny Boyle . I think he did the best he could. Good movie , great cast , entertaining, enjoy it .

Good movie . Lead actor was good . Brought character to the role . Def worth a watch. Authentic feel. Seems low budget but none the worse for it. Good show , check it out.

Slow moving

A slow burner that probably reflects the work of law enforcement better then many action movies. I thought Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson were well cast and great in their respective rolls . The bad guys were in no way glorified which is a refreshing change. Captures the poverty and hardships of the time well. Good story , entertaining watch .

Gotti (2018)

No !

I watched a few minutes , couldn't do any more. Got to the scene where they tried to make John Travolta look like a young Gotti and it just didn't work. I think he was miscast , I might give it a try again at some stage but for the moment , no !

Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. (2018)

Very interesting

I prefer metal/heavy rock , really didn't know anything about Tupac/Biggie smalls. I just stumbled upon this show on Netflix and I really enjoyed it. I don't know how factually correct it is but it tells a great story and left me feeling sad for the deaths of two young talented men. The two mothers were well represented and the acting for detective Poole by jimmi Simpson really portrayed a man under immense strain. Excellent show , well told story

It doesn't quite live up to Don Winslow's original work but it's not bad and is an entertaining watch . I enjoyed it.
