Moesha (1996)
This show should've ended in the 4th season
This show was good up until the 5th season. I liked all the characters especially Kim, Niecy, and Hakeem. Kim's snarkiness, Niecy's one-liners, and Hakeem's happy go-lucky attitude made the show very funny and entertaining to watch. But after the 4th season with Dorian's introduction and the father being exposed as an adulterer and a cheater, the tone and direction of the series was not the same and it became less and less of a comedy as the show went on. It also became less about Moesha even though Moesha is the titular character of this show. It also ended with the worst series finale of all time, at least the Parkers actually ended with a proper finale. Overall Moesha should've ended at the 4th season with all the characters graduating, despite how cliche graduation finales are.
That's So Raven (2003)
One of my favorite shows from my childhood, but I have issues with Chelsea's character
I love this show because of its humor and memorable characters. The casting choices were perfect for this show, they were all funny and had good chemistry. This show would've been nothing without Raven and Chelsea especially as they are definitely the funniest characters on the show. However I do have a problem with Chelsea being flanderized into a girl who's so unintelligent, that by season 3 you wonder how the other characters aren't more concerned about her wellbeing. I really hate that whenever these shows have a "dumb" character they're always too stupid to function or they get flanderized into someone who's too stupid to live.
Bunk'd (2015)
This show was terrible even before Season 3
Bunkd was always rooted in stereotypes. Its a spinoff of a show that had the smart Indian and sassy black girl stereotypes and bunk'd has stereotypes such as the smart East Asian who is being pressured by her mom to perform extremely well academically to the point where apparently the word "fun" is crossed out from every dictionary she owns. It also bugs me how Tiffany's mom being an ab*sive parent is constantly played off for laughs and its supposed to be seen as humorous. Don't get me wrong, seasons 3-7 of this show are bad and poorly written and Season 3 did have stereotypes such as Matteo being the nerd with no social skills and Destiny being a self absorbed pageant girl but even before Season 3 this show had numerous issues. Overall this is definitely not a show I'd recommend for impressionable kids who dont know right from wrong.
Jessie (2011)
A poorly written show with stereotypes and terrible characters
The characters in this show are incredibly stereotypical. Ravi is the stereotypical Indian nerd who doesn't have social skills or friends. Emma is the fashion-obsessed, egotistical, and dim-witted blonde. Zuri is the stereotypical snarky black girl who is very manipulative and disrespectful. Luke is the unintelligent jock stereotype and hes an incredibly unlikable character. He's dumb, he has terrible personal hygiene, he's bad at schoolwork, he's mean to everyone especially Ravi and Bertram, and he's straight up creepy towards Jessie and other characters throughout the show. All of the kids are unlikable to a certain extent especially seeing how they harass Jessie and Bertram and the way bertram is constantly pranked and ill-treated throughout the entire show simply for existing is uncalled for. It's not just the kids who bully Bertram, even Jessie bullies Bertram numerous times. This is why i don't enjoy this show and I think young kids shouldnt even be shown a scene from this show as its way too much of an awful influence.
