Hidden gem
7 April 2019
Shawshank Redemption with a dark edge.

It's a good story. Strong acting. Gore is minimal and there's a nice comfortable pacing to the storyline.

I prefer not to give blow by blow accounts or hint at storyline aspects.

This is a hidden jewel and I can't believe that I only became aware of it a few months ago.

Good stuff!

Blood Fest (2018)

Enjoyed!

I'm a horror fan and have spent years watching many, many films.

The storyline may be somewhat predictable. It's a horror film. People are likely to die. There may be love interests or friendships.

Special effects. Hmmnn. Not so special at times. Often anatomically incorrected but the title is Blood Fest and jugular artery style squirting should accompany any cut -Wherever that may be.

Is it watchable? Can you relate to the characters? Interesting storyline? Gore? YES!

This is a comedy horror. I don't know what films other reviewers are comparing it with.

Enjoy it for what it is.

A fun watch! - PG?
11 January 2019
I really enjoyed this. Sets are to die for and the music is wonderful.

I see from other reviewers that this is not suitable for kids. Please bear in mind that the original book is for TEENAGERS. There are definitely moments that are unsuitable for youngsters.

I have always considered the PG rating to be an indication that a film is borderline family friendly and a caution rather than something to let the kids watch whilst parents do other things.

Therefore, a PG film should be viewed by parents before they decide whether their children are able to enjoy it.
