Smokey and the Bandit Part 3 (1983)
Not half bad when Gleeson's on the screen
Cleetus, or Cledus, or whatever the hell Jerry Reed's character calls himself, is unreservedly awful. His cheesball, 1983, "We gone!" spouting crap actually wears thin even before he even barks out his first line. To be honest, Fred the dog has more charisma than this guy. Even Hal Needham would hang his head in shame. And Hal Needham as we all know, has hung his name on some real garbage. But never mind him. Jackie Gleeson comes up with some seriously good one-liners, so stick around and try to keep a straigh face when he yells "Youah killin' yo daddy, Youah KILLIN' yo daddy!"
Memorable line:
"I'm as con-FUSED as a baby racoon!"
My Boss's Daughter (2003)
The good outweighs the bad.
Man. About 6 or 7 completely hilarious scenes make this movie worthy of much more praise than a lot of contemporary comedies out there. How can you not like the Michael Madsen/Ashton Kutcher showdown in the living room? "PUT THE GUN DOWN...OR I WILL BLOW YOUR ASS TO F%&K-TOWN!!!" I fell out of my chair man. I just fell out of it. Zucker's still got it, for the most part. ***
Hot Dog ...The Movie (1983)
If only you could settle all disputes with Chinese Downhill
First rate T&A flick. Bizarre party scenes, seemingly endless amounts of nudity and a guitar serenade so mind-numbingly awful, it leaves you screaming for more! Shannon Tweed looks superb in this, as do all the other featured babes. See how many times you rewind the scene in which our ski hero, commenting on his smarmy German idol, mutters "He's the BEST!" Horrible, yet curiously endearing. You be the judge. 9/10 on the mondo movie scale.
