Pressed for Love (2024)
Great acting! The world is STARVED for fun!!
I find myself looking at indie comedies and expecting a lower quality camera, lighting, and most of them look like they are shot on iphones. This film impressed me in that it looks like the quality of a top single-cam show but within the range of an indie-filmmakers abilities. If it's true that Robert Michael did all of this himself, it's a marvel at what was accomplished
There are things that can be improved, but overall the story was really fun and the acting was superb! Everyone made me laugh at a couple of different points and in a comedy that's all you can really ask for! The world is starved for fun and this delivered.
Oblivious (2023)
Deep and thought provoking
Not a film for those looking for jump scares or twists and turns (besides one BIG one at the end). A deep dive into trauma and death/grief. The film was thought provoking and really makes you wonder and think about loved ones possibly going through something similar.
Naomi Grossman looks GREAT and while I was also hoping to see Nikki Blonsky (just a narrator) I was also very impressed with both Robert Michael and Vanessa Gamble for their roles. I think the relationship could have been flushed out a bit more in the writring but for the budget of only 7,000 what was accomplished was outstanding! Kudos to the cast and crew! Everyone's performance was great and grounded!
