Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (2020)
Very poor series, only for kids under 7 years old probably
This is a very poor series for adults. They should put a disclaimer it is intended for small children only under 7 years old and not for adults. I am surprised this made it through Season 3. It is not worth the season 3, it is more like a movie for kids. Not sure how Steven Spielberg and Amblin Studio could put their stamp of approval, as it is very poorly done. Very far fetched from the actual Jurassic Park, which I love (I watch them every year, all of them at least once a year, and I never get tired of them).
I was disappointed that the storyline was quite poor, characters were not at all interesting and it is not a realistic storyline. The animation is also quite poor as well. It is also not intended for adults as it has such a simplistic storyline or repeating scenes with no complex backgrounds, which would be enjoyable for small kids, even a three year old could enjoy as they cannot process complex storyline yet.
I like animation movies, especially Japanese Ghbli cartoon movies. Japanese Ghbli Studio animations are said that they're not created for small kids (and I agree), as the storyline is quite complex and small kids would get lost in them. Also it is realistic in some of them (true to the historic facts based on a true story.) For example, I would not let my kids watch the Graves of the Fireflies, only when they're a teenager. I watched this in Japan as a kid as it is the day for remeberance day in the beggining of August to pay respects to those who died in the WWII, as the storyline depicts real events that actualy happened way back when. Is it like Kiki's Delivery Service even kids with parents can enjoy as an entire family? No. It is not at all like that. If you are into animation movies for adults, I highly sugggest you watch Ghbli Studio movies and not some kiddish movies like this.
The story has no depth, and it is intended for kindergarten kids who cannot process complex stories. Not recommended.

Loved the sweet beautiful star dog and wonderful plot based on true story!
I just watched this on Netflix and it is a wonderful movie based on true story! Loved the movie and everyone in it!
The storyline is based on the dog (half border collie mix) who was rescued on the street by shelter meets an aspiring K9 police officer who could not afford a pedigreed German Shepperd becomes the best K9 dog even beating other pedigreed K9 dogs, Ruby the K9 dog received 2018 best K9 dog award (even in true life)!
Everything about this story which is based on true story was so inspirational and wonderful! The actor dog is also a rescue and rescued in last minute by a wonderful professional dog trainer, which you get to see in the last few scenes of how they took some scenes with the dog and even the actor baby, they are adorable!
The former street dog Ruby had to be home trained by both the wife and the husband (aspiring K9 officer) instead of a traditional route, and everyone tries to help out the dog and the officer to become the K9 unit! And they do succeed at the end despite of some obstacles!
I am more of a cat person in reality though I have had dogs since childhood and I currently have Birman pedigreed show cats myself, which are cat version of dogs Lol, but I just loved this movie! Any animal lovers would love this movie for sure as it is based on a true story and has such a great storyline! The wife was very supportive of the husband despite of many setbacks and disappointments they faced. I wish all married couples can be like them! So nice to see a happy supportive couple. I loved everyone around him was also cheering for them to succeed, and such a wonderful positive story!
It helps that the main male character is easy on the eyes as well as the actor dog was very handsome (he is a beautiful dog!) ;)
It was such a nice way to spend my Friday night to cheer me up with such positive movie to start my first new year weekend! Recommend!
Nyad (2023)
Decent movie out of the usual mediocre/bad Netflix movie
This is a laidback style yet somewhat inspirational movie about a woman who is in her 60s suddenly decided to swim across the open ocean between Cuba and Florida to prove herself she could do this despite her age and to reach her long lost dream.
I'm not sure how exaggerated or accurate the storyline is, but I felt the main contributing factor for her multiple failures to be able to swim between Cuba and Florida was not because of her lack of physical skills, but rather because of her massive egos and how she didn't listen to or respect others inputs. She ended up overcoming this god complex she possessed towards the very end but this main character woman is quite unlikable around 90% of the time in the movie; how she treated people around her so poorly and so disrespectfully, like everyone was beneath her, including her best friend (played by Jodie Foster). It was off-putting the main character thought the world revolved around her to such degree. To me her narcissistic behaviors exhibited and attitudes towards others were just unacceptable. This isn't acceptable for any athlete or aspiring athlete to treat people like this who were trying to help her.
Certain aspects of the film, what it took to swim being surrounded by poisonous jellyfish or consuming food or taking medications while in the sea or what the mental state of mind she would become due to exhaustion swimming such long distance were quite eye opening and interesting aspects of the movie we don't see everyday.
Overall an interesting movie worthy of watching and acting was pretty good (though the film itself is not 9 or 10...). Just that the main character was very unlikable and if any athletes are this narcissistic they should not be allowed or welcomed to represent anything let alone women. As a woman I felt embarrassed how she treated everybody around her 90% of the time in the movie.
Family Switch (2023)
Adults look too old and the kids are just boring
Not sure what creators intentions were but Jennifer Garner who played the mom didn't age well, looked very wrinkly than the age who had a new born and why was she wearing dark red lipsticks all the time with pajama?! I saw her with so much makeup with wrinkles very old looking. It didn't suit her at all and made her look very cheap and odd looking. They should have casted much younger woman as she was 10-15 years older her actual role. She also looked like Gena David and wasn't an appealing look on her (cheap looking). The dad played by Ed Helms (a guy from the Office) looked really old and again he looked way older than should be for the role. Not sure why these pathetic Netflix people cast these actors and actresses who don't even have the proper look nor in the suitable age for the roles. Don't put someone 15-20 years older than the actual role and make them look like they actually are with cheap looking set designs. It makes the movie look and feel unprofessional and really fake. I had to stop the movie and couldn't watch the entire thing as it was too pathetic and decided to watch YouTube instead. They create better contents than all of you combined on Netflix. It is also no wonder it only took Netflix a few months to film this and a few months after to release it on Netflix where a proper film usually takes way longer and cast proper actors and actresses. I mean have you seen Jennifer Garner in real life? She looks really old without all the filters...why cast that kind of old looking woman here?? And why does Netflix categorize this as "Hollywood" movie? Let me tell you you Netflix ain't the Hollywood and any movie or series created by you guys are far from Hollywood productions. Just because putting together a few mediocre someone who was married to a big name actor or played in TV sitcoms doesn't make a great movie worthy to call Netflix "Hollywood movies". I found this to be such a joke. No Hollywood movie makes a movie in a few months and release it without proper editing or reviews. They don't have proper production designer and the entire movie felt pathetic and overdone. Don't waste your time. Not recommended.
Luckiest Girl Alive (2022)
The film appeared not based in real NY city scenes
The film seems to be filmed in Toronto and NY city. I have lived in the NYC and this is not a reflection of the city. I have also lived in Toronto and many scenes are actually from Toronto even though they may kind of dub the scenes of Toronto to NY city. I mean have these people visited NY city? I saw many many trash bags and rats, subways are very dirty, and the smell of itself is overwhelming to say the least. And they show none of these in the movie. I just wish the film industry needs to show the real NY city if they want us to consider any events that may have happened in the past as this is an important topic for women. Why do they show the fake NY city and mislead us when they want us to consider such an important topic?
Also, I submitted the review which was NOT inflammatory but it is shown as "Not eligible" not eligible for what?? People are allowed to submit their opinions on the movie, stop taking away people's rights to freedom of speech. I have seen so many people claiming now that their reviews are removed. None of my previous reviews include profanity and none touches "eligibility" criteria.
It is a fact that the film is not showing much about NY true scenes. I am so sick of this film industry overhyping this so called "decaying city" (everyone is aware of this on every social media now) which is in dire needs of improvement in true life. Stop overhyping the city and show the real side so people can start accepting the horribleness and start correcting itself. NYC needs a new mayor badly...
The acting was mediocre, and they didn't show the real NY city, which is disappointing. I do not also feel the NY city is the place to be. No true courageous women feel the NY city as the be all end all place, and why this main character who was played by two different people who don't even look a like was so bent out of getting a job at NY times? Are they aware that NY Times is not even read by people here in where I live though other publications are? It was also off putting that the main character woman seemed to be using her fiancé (she was admitting to it too) to get over the ordeal she experienced as a childhood. The mom character is very unlikable as she was shaming her child for her traumatic experience she faced. What kind of mom act this way?
The film is also choppy all over the place. The storyline is forced and rushed more appropriate for series and not a film.
This is not relatable as a woman. Please do better.
A Beautiful Life (2023)
Plot has holes with abrupt ending
Netflix needs to stop producing movies that abruptly ends. When the movie ended I was like "What?" Lol It just ended after Christopher stopped singing a song I was like huh, that's all?? I didn't like the ending at all... Too many Netflix movies abruptly ends including that Julia Roberts "Leave the World Behind" movie (people are mainly VERY angry and upset in majority of the reviews and we all know why, it does not have a nice logical ending, just ends abruptly pathetically if I may say in that particular movie...). There seems to be some kind of a common theme going on for Netflix movies, including this one, which does not have a nice ending that satisfies the audience. A movie could be 10-15 min. Longer with a nice ending. But no, it just ends. Seriously. It is very odd. I really think Netflix needs to screen these script writers much more carefully as most Netflix movies have extremely poor plot that upsets the audience, leaving poor ratings.
This movie started out ok, but the storyline felt forced as the story developed because the plot has many holes. I mean why does Elliot was so angry at the beginning? No one really wants to be a fisherman he was miserable doing it getting scolded and all. They don't even tell you why he hates Suzanne who kindly extended help when he was at the police station. Who would treat someone so badly and spitefully who got you out of jail as a stranger? Elliot seemed very unappreciative and awkward person to even write music/songs. Yeah the characters felt fake to me as a musician because of the poor storyline. The plot needs to be at least believable and relatable when everyday people like us watch the movie so we can relate to the main characters. You don't disclose why he was angry, due to traumatic childhood or what? The movie doesn't even tell you why or connect the dots logically, leaving us confused and empty. I started to think Danish are mainly depressed and angry people as it seems like main characters from a chef to a singer, main characters seem to have depressions all of the time in every Danish movie. Is it normal there? The main characters seem to always play functional depressed characters.
The main character singer in real life is Christopher, Danish singer. I liked many of the music in the movie, so I checked him out and listened to most of his albums but I didn't like any of his past albums, except this movie album was only one I liked and thought it was decent, so I downloaded on my iPhone lol.
If the movie had a nicer ending, the storyline was more cohesive or logical for people to be able to relate to the characters and make sense of it, the movie could have been better. But at this moment it is 5/10. It is only watchable because the singer is softer on the eyes and songs are quite decent and I liked them. As a romantic movie...not decent. Netflix, please hire better writers and screen them out. Don't produce 50 movies and series, only produce 10 movies and several series, invest more time and money in producing these and hire Hollywood script writers (smart and experienced ones). This is why Hollywood these days really do not like tech industry, ruining the movie industry...no wonder. I am starting to screen some Netflix movie out so that I won't waste my time as they really don't produce very good movies these days. Do better.
Toscana (2022)
Travel Guide and Not Romantic Movie
I live in a country with the most number of Michelin starred restaurants than any parts of Europe or the US, or all of them combined and I have met these chefs myself as I have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants. This film does NOT have a real Michelin starred chef that knows Italian food (they have never consulted ones obviously...) Only Italian about this movie was a background scenery and the location as it is filmed in both Italy and Denmark. If you have never eaten in Michelin starred restaurants or know of what actual high-end restaurants are alike, or can't travel due to disability or/and just wants to watch a travel guide without any plot whatsoever, then this Tuscany guide clip might be worth your time. But be aware it is not a movie, because most people I know expect an interesting plot, at least some kind of chemistry between a man and a woman since it said Romantic genre...this movie has nothing, NO script. There is no storyline to this movie. Not a romantic genre and not comedy either (the Danish chef is very much depressed ALL of the time). They don't know how to make risotto either (they make it with pungent red wine, horrid...) Don't call it Romantic when no one falls in love in a movie. It is nothing but only about a depressed "Michelin" starred chef who overcome bitter childhood memory of his father who passed his restaurant to his son. The storyline was also cringe worthy. Who would kiss a woman who is getting married tomorrow not even knowing her at all only after meeting for a week?! CRINGE. The story is all over and broken up, doesn't have cohesiveness, and jumps up and down, and all over. And we don't even know to whom she was getting married, until the wedding day. Poor script of everything. It tried to be Chocolat (music wise but it only has one or two music lol) or tried to be about a restaurant but they all failed on it. Not about romance, not about food, yeah mere travel guide. Btw, no one serves Parmesan cheese in those huge blocks like that, you would feel very sick eating huge chunks of Parmesan cheese with salami like that. This was a cringe worthy movie overall for foodies. Don't watch it if you are a foodie. You would feel puzzled. Netflix sucks, that's all. Not recommended.
Gran Torino (2008)
American War Veteran shows Humanity in his Retirement Age
I liked the movie so far, and though it's not a new movie, and released in 2008 more than 15 years ago, this was quite an interesting movie with unique and believable storyline. It's about a guy in retirement age who didn't get along with his disrespectful sons and his families meet his new neighbor after his wife passed away. At first main character Walt played by Clint Eastwood (the war veteran who fought in Korean war) was culture shocked by the different Vietnamese Chinese culture of his new neighbor he didn't know, but he started to show his softer human side of him as his style/believes matched the traditional culture of the Vietnamese Chinese culture of the neighbor, contrasted by his entitled American family he still has and despised (his sons and these entitled grand children he was not so impressed with).
I quite enjoyed the storyline of the movie, it is unique yet believable. I could understand why this movie received some awards (even by international audience including Japanese film critics. One of the Production Designer was a Japanese American also, which I thought was interesting).
It is sad though it is pretty much the reality even to this day that these immigrants from third world countries try to escape the dire poverty and didn't want to live in a third world country, yet when they come to America they are caught in the ghetto of the gangs and violence, even though some of these people try to lead honest life.
This is when Walt (Clint Eastwood) plays big brother figure to this immigrant boy Thao. A teenage immigrant boy tried to steal his car at the very beginning encouraged by the as**ole "cousin" (yeah if you even want to call that as**ole cousin who ends up raping the innocent girl - though this was just assumed and the actual scene was not shown, thank goodness that would be just too far violent for my taste). But despite cultural and age difference Thao and Walt end up becoming great friends (brothers rather). I liked that the Thao's family highly thought of Walt and appreciated him, inviting him to the family gathering etc.
And it is not only melodramatic either. There are several funny scenes too. I especially liked the Barber scene where Walt tried to teach Thao how to talk "among the guys", which I thought was very old fashion lol. But he was doing that so that Thao could get a construction job to earn money to go to college. I thought it was so nice of Walt who became like a big brother figure to Thao teaching many things, even the meaning of life and death.
One big drawback was the last scene for me...that was just too sad that Walt decides to sacrifice himself by being shot to death by the gang (yeah Thao's cousin, what an as**ole), after telling Thao not to treat life for granted... Telling someone one thing and not following what he preached...that was not great. And it just was too sad of an ending for me (I cried...). But the Grand Trino music that played after was kind of soothing to the sad scene in contrast. It's a nice movie, tastefully done.
Overall, this is a great movie to watch, much better than most of the recent movies coming out from streaming service productions that are less than impressive. It also has beautiful music too (though some may find cheesy and too old fashion/too old American feel). Recommend.
Second Act (2018)
Loved the catchy songs, cheesy JLo style Rom-Com and that excellent Columbian singer
I think most of these negative reviews are coming from young people who have not lived through 90s or 2000s that's for sure as they don't know 90s feel movies as they seem to be comparing with. First of all, JLo is not a 90s girl more like 2000s. Also most 90s movies are WAY better than most recent movies that are coming out now produced by lame Netflix and those unprofessional no-Hollywood type movie streaming productions. So if you want to compare this movie to 90s movies this should be a complement to this movie as this would be a pretty good movie, any movies coming out now that are comparable to 90s huge budget films that they cannot produce these days are pretty good or excellent movie. This one is not that kind of 90s movie or even TV show (they were way better back then). I really liked this movie, mainly because of her catchy song "Marry Me" and a few others, and because the interaction between JLo and Maluma was quite believable/decent and not all fake unlike other singer's movies I have seen to date. And oh boy Maluma could sing so well in the movie I was blown away (not to mention he is a very cute guy), and JLo did a pretty good job so much so that I downloaded her album on my iPhone Lol. I didn't even know Maluma but I was amazed by his singing ability I checked him out after watching this movie. Unfortunately most of his songs are not English songs and though I don't mind a few Spanish songs in my collections, I am not into Spanish or foreign language songs as I can't understand the lyrics.
Cheesy yet somewhat believable funny parts of the movie are comedy so those storylines are exaggerated. I mean come on, people think lying that much on a resume would happen in real life? This is why it is called Romantic Comedy genre, not real life event, no where it says based on true story. Seriously people need to adjust their expectations. Also some people seem to mention this has many aspects of informercial...what these people don't know is the fact that these products have already saturated the market by the time the movie was released, so this wasn't informercial to me. I mean it was almost 8-10 years ago that blenders were becoming popular. This movie was filmed 4-5 years ago and those products everyone knows already, how can this be informercial? I am pretty sure they haven't lived their life long enough and it is to illustrate how singers may normally interact with their fans on social media.
A few negatives; JLo playing a much younger woman than her actual age. This was a turn off for me though it didn't change my likeness of the movie but it was irritating. Sure she keeps herself well maintained and better looking than most women her age, but she isn't that young. She is now 54 years old and she must be close to 50 years old then. A 50 year old getting engaged to half her age Maluma (at the time he was like 22 years old Lol...), and complaining he cheated on her...well what do you expect? I would never date a guy that young, he could be her child omg it was very off-putting the age gap between Maluma and JLo...and the fact JLo was playing a woman in 30s and trying out her luck in the corporate world, only that they hired her because she was the CEO's adopted daughter's biological mother. Yeah this isn't believable nor would it likely to happen (it is a bit ridiculous) but her songs were pretty good, and Maluma is a great singer. That was good enough for me.
All in all, I was caught surprised I liked the movie because I usually don't. I recommend this over other singer's movies (they are usually really lame but this is pretty good, songs are catchy). You would love it if you lived through 2000s in your prime (high school/college) and of course if you are JLo's fan, you would probably enjoy the movie.
Burlesque (2010)
Musical movie with not so much plot
She was a good singer but I am not that much of Christina's fan. Back in the day Genie in the Bottle I bought her CD because I liked the music, not because I liked her in particular when I was much younger and she has been singing for a long time. Just that this shouldn't have been a movie but a theater show as a musical Broadway type show and not a movie, as this does not have any plot other than cliches and predictable flat story worthy of a movie, where a poor girl from poor background from rural America from Iowa goes to LA to try out her luck. There is this rich much older guy who is a real estate businessman try to be friend with this poor young girl who is talented at singing, but she lives with her roommate who at the time was engaged to another woman, but secretly attracted to her, and you can imagine the rest. The young poor guy (bartender) wins the heart of the talented "young" woman (she wasn't a young woman when this movie was being filmed, just turning 30 years old). I liked Cher better who was the lounge owner of this Burlesque and she was a great singer in the movie and in real life, and played her role well. It was just that story is very flat and all you can expect is Christina Aguilera's singing and not much else with a few songs of Cher. I liked that they were not sleazy but tastefully dressed and didn't feel the cheapness of these show girls who often have drug/alcohol issues etc. In real life. Basically a very mild movie with no sadness or dramas in it. Someone said this film is for adults and not for kids LOL...well I want to say to him/her, you don't know what adult movies are like lol. Seriously. This is even for kids it's not a sleazy type film, with no sex appeal or actual sexual suggestive scenes at all. It is very innocent type Disney like movie where they have zero sex scenes nor revealing nature (and it is done tastefully and not in gross ways like Mike's Last Dance ...which was really gross and utterly inappropriate). If you are Christina Aquilera or Cher's fan, you may like this. For others? It's ok but you aren't missing much if you didn't watch it.
Magic Mike's Last Dance (2023)
Underwhelming Striptease Show with Rich Divorce Woman in London, that is all about this movie...
The movie should be called Striptease Male 3.0 or something like that as this is not a movie. It's mere extension of a male strip club you may actually see in the US/Canada, only with additions of a recently divorced "rich" woman with heavy Spanish accent that didn't match any English social scene of London in reality, who pretended to magically speak French as her native language. How can they script her to speak native French when we hear such heavy Spanish accent from this woman?! Her acting was also very bad in this movie though I like her in general in other movies. I think the problem is that there is no decent storyline to this. The pretentious aspects of this male strip club extension was also very much off-putting, not to mention too much gross nakedness of stranger men... Look, as a woman, I would go to an actual male strip club or better yet hook up with an actual guy or go on a date if I wanted to get sex or watch porn with my bf and have great sex if I wanted that. I wasn't even aroused, as this isn't porn or sexy movie (there is ZERO sex scene in this movie, only naked men exhibiting topless omg such a tease :D ), nor very sexy movie that evokes positive feelings nor did I get any satisfactions out of this film, like watching a nice romantic comedy (I get to laugh a lot with most comedy movies) or action movie like a sense of satisfaction seeing a hero rescuing unfortunate people etc. I only got yuck feeling especially after seeing the last scene of too many topless and near naked men erotic "dancing" who were strangers to me. They looked like they were having sex with air. Horrid. Distasteful, really. What was that?? Why would I want to watch a movie on Netflix and expect to be entertained while I had to cover my eyes or say Ugh every now and then? It was as if going to a nude beach watching men who were complete stranger to me, there is not even a plot or storyline we could connect the dots with these half naked men everywhere in the movie, YET no actual sex scenes omg. Really bizarre and very unsatisfying and frustrating movie to watch.
I was also shocked to read they released this much below average strip tease "comedy" in actual movie theaters though this was originally intended to be released only on HBO streaming service! LOL Omg the absurdity is just mind boggling! They should have stuck with only streaming, I would have wanted my money back or would have left the theater after 1/3 of the movie.
I admit though the first erotic dancing scene was not bad, though I was like, omg a smoking hot guy dances like that and she doesn't want to have sex with the guy?! For $6000 lol Really lame! Why doesn't she go on an actual date, get to know the guy and have real sex? Instead she meets Mike the bartender and invites him into her own home for erotic dance for $6000 to forget how miserable her life was at the moment. It's not erotic it is foolish and shallow. But then I saw them in bed so I guess they ended up sleeping together, not a dance anymore but he was prostituting himself, yet no sex scenes whatsoever, just laying on the bed next to each other covered and not naked at all. I think I have seen better TV drama series that has better sex scenes. I also don't know how I could watch this kind of show with a guy in a theater? I think he would get grossed out but there they were watching men stripping themselves in London with their significant other...very odd. It's cheap, and frustrating to watch as a woman as far as the movie goes. If you are a decent straight guy, you have nothing to lose by not watching it. Not recommended.
Hearts in Atlantis (2001)
Enjoyable film, a modern toned down version of Stand by Me minus the music
I enjoyed the film, though it's not really at the level of Stand by Me which is solid 9.5 in my book and I can watch it after many years as a classic Stephen King movie, but this isn't exactly Stand by Me yet watchable as it's complemented by great acting of Anthony Hopkins and the kid actor Anton Yelchin. It's rather an older movie released more than 20 years ago. But the actors were great and the story is not flat thank goodness unlike all of the movies coming out in recent days due to poor streaming production films that always seem to fall extremely short having flat storylines one after another. I wouldn't classify this as a "thriller" however, but more of a drama that takes place between a young boy who didn't have a father figure/role model in his life meets a caring grandfather figure older man in his 60s. I didn't enjoy seeing the evil mother of the main young boy character who always acted extremely selfish to her boy and the neighbor, but come to think of it Stephen King always has this evil figure or two in his every novel (which I read both in books and watched several movies) and mysterious aspects that don't happen in real life. Only the thing is I don't believe this film quite portrayed the mysterious nature of the original Stephen King novel since in the book it's portrayed much more mysteriously. Also it's lacking great music. But all in all an enjoyable movie with an interesting storyline based on the book by Stephen King with decent actors. A decent movie early 2000s.
Leave the World Behind (2023)
Underwhelming even with Experienced Casts in Poor Plot movie...
I am surprised that this was a movie based on a book. My instant thinking was the book must be very poorly done as the story is very flat, which is not usually the case as no one would read the book otherwise. Based on some of the top reviews I have read, I believe the book was indeed extremely poorly done who spent pennies instead of a pound way back when. Not sure who was in right mind to make a movie with such big name actors/actresses based off of such a poorly written book? The book must be good to make a great movie, as you just cannot change the base storyline unless you are going to rewrite the entire book itself. What were they thinking? Very unwise. The movie production is not done poorly but it is quite underwhelming for "thriller" even if you want to call this movie a "thriller" movie. In 90s or early 2000s I am pretty sure this won't make it to theaters as it won't get approved but sadly it goes on a lame streaming low budget platform such as Netflix which is a name of the game for the most underwhelming movies by default. Netflix basically killed the entire industry as they should not be producing anything but stick to buying movie rights and TV shows from Hollywood. Julia Roberts who is one of the main characters is reduced to a typical suburban worrying mom who doesn't do much in the movie. Just picture a typical teenagers mom whose family was put in a crisis situation. Nothing extraordinary is there? Very boring... I am pretty sure she doesn't know how to produce a movie though she is one of many producers of this so called a streaming movie. The ending was poorly done as well, and the scenes are mediocre at best. I think Hollywood is reduced to mediocre production now with all of these streaming shows that do not need a lot to produce. Kevin Bacon only shows up in a few clips though he is one of my favorite actors of all time. Based on many of these actors who were once great actors/actresses in 90s/2000s, this must be some retirement movie production they needed to make to live off of their luxurious lifestyle they already have due to lost investments. Do better. Nothing to mention about and very boring plot even this was a movie based on a book (what can we expect when a book is written so poorly?) BORING. Avoid.
Voleuses (2023)
Lame and uninteresting movie...
While I enjoyed a few dark humors, this is not a great movie. It looked like a school cinema project low budget film. It's really lame and the entire movie looked like a production for one of those TV movies from 60s or 70s, except the picture quality is recent. Considering this is French movie, you may think the fashion could be on point but no, the fashion is very lame; I saw Gucci Adidas jersey suits (omg so horrible...some Euro trashy fashion there) and the storyline is quite uninteresting and flat. I also didn't like the ending where the main character blonde woman who wanted to retire supposedly died shot by one of the swat team that arrived on the last scene but 4 years later, she is miraculously alive and they don't even tell you how. Very unsatisfying movie. I am a woman and do I feel empowered by the movie (because they are trying so hard to be "all about women"? No, too lame and too uninteresting to be even bothered to relate to the movie. Why don't they just keep it private screening as it is not worthy of international audience? Netflix is so lame. Also it is a dubbed movie and I don't even understand the French lyrics when they were singing or when there were songs in a few scenes. They could have put subtitles on that (they don't know how to do subtitle either). How can I enjoy a song when I don't understand the meaning of the song? All in all, very lame badly done college school project at best, not worth of our time for the public. I would pass, not to waste 2 hours I could have spent for something more valuable things to do. I think a few of these 9/10 reviews I am seeing are delusional actually. Any sane person who has seen great movies would rate 1 or 2. Not recommended.
Ambulance (2022)
Hollywood production budget film with Netflix pathetic storyline
As with many other negative reviews, I agree that this has no logical plot that any audience can relate to making it not worthwhile movie to watch. It was a waste of time to watch honestly, on Friday night on Netflix. I regretted watching it wasted my 2 hours. I would demand my money back if I watched this in a theater as it is a Hollywood movie that you cannot breath (not in a good way unlike the feeling you get by watching a very good thriller or action movie), but it's a exhausting and boring to watch. Very poorly written, illogical and empty.
This movie doesn't start off terrible, but it started off mediocre. The scene starts off with an African American veteran calling the Marine Corp not being able to get a hold of anyone, how much more depressing can you get? This how it starts lol. Then he lies in straight face to his wife holding a baby that they were able to get insurance even though it was an experimental procedure and that they would all be ok. Yet he seemed to have no job and not in Marine anymore... This doesn't make sense at all. You are in the Marine or you are a civilian, not both. He is not serving anymore and he is a civilian why is he calling the military office while he is not serving anymore? This is just one scene which didn't make sense at all or click with you, then all the other stories are like this from one scene to another. The screen writer needs to get fired actually. How can you have a Hollywood movie budget with this kind of extremely flat plot? Just because it is an action movie doesn't mean you can just keep blowing up cars and shooting people without any logical storyline or in-depth plot that make sense to an audience. That is not a movie, it is just a collection of scenes that blow up cars, chase cars and blow up cops. Boring AF. This movie doesn't have any plot, only a flat storyline as flat as pancakes.
The movie production is not cheap, and you can tell. They blow up many cars, automatic guns going off everywhere, and shooting scenes are not B-rated, however, since there is no plot or logical good storyline to connect the scenes, it makes you feel like you are watching a Netflix low budget experimental film made in a developing third country we often see from non-Hollywood production (but this actually is lol). I usually skip movies made by Netflix production now, but only the difference with this and those poor B-rated movies are the budget and actors/actresses. The result is the same: boring and uninteresting. These Netflix movies often cast not very good looking people, but this movie has Jake Gyllenhaal who starred in Spiderman and several other movies, and he is sort of a cute guy and easy on our eyes, while Netflix shows have no one worthwhile to watch. The black guy is also not a bad looking guy, so is the female paramedic character so you won't feel like you are watching non-attractive average people from everyday life for 2 hours, but this movie gave me the vibe of watching B-rated non-Hollywood film with never ending action scenes with flat storyline. It was very unsatisfying to watch and it's not realistic. I didn't like it.
TL;DR: Not recommended. Not worth anyone's time watching it. Big name actors of Hollywood need not be so desperate they star in B-rated action films like this. I rated 2. Very poorly done. This screen writer/script write needs to find another job immediately as he is not meant to this.
The Weekend Away (2022)
Poor and flat storyline Netflix show with unattractive people
You would know that it's a low budget film 1/3 way in because the main actress is mediocre looking (below average), and I knew this was a Netflix production as all of the actors and actresses look like they're from everyday people (not attractive people), except a few people who looked to be decent actors/actresses but the American main character is not an attractive woman, the fashion is below average attractiveness, and not a movie production by a reputable Hollywood studio. By halfway through the "movie" you know that there's not an interesting plot to the movie whatsoever. I think a TV channel could do a better "thriller" if you want to even call that. Only thing this film could offer is for you to guess maybe Croatia could be a beautiful country to visit for a few days in undeveloped part of Europe as an economical trip and it is a good tourist location/advertisement film for 5 seconds to see the other part of Europe LOL But that is about the only thing this movie could offer. The storyline is extremely flat and illogical and I would tell you why. No traveler in anywhere in a country would not seek a consulate/embassy assistance when you get into trouble like this with the law in a foreign country especially as a traveler. Also the police was extremely rude treating a foreigner like that and that never happens in any part of Europe, at least somewhat civilized part of Europe. As soon as you are a foreign visitor you would not just be any local but you have a right to ask the embassy assistance from your own country as long as you are not a citizen there, that is why they're there for. You also don't have rights the same as locals either. I mean come on. You do not ask for a local lawyer, you immediately ask for embassy and that is how it goes when you are a temporary visitor, and especially when you are an American. Maybe when you are living there as a resident with apartment and all, but you still ask for consulate assistance as that is why they're there for. I do not understand this film, it must be made by non-traveler without any international traveling experience. The director/script writer is not an American or someone who traveled to many different countries. The storyline is also unrealistic and only happens in a poorly done Netflix show type film. The main character also appeared to be whiny and unwise (and most of all unattractive). A woman who is breastfeeding would go to a night club all night and able to spend significant hours of time without leaking all over her top/dress or bursting (it would be extremely painful if you are a breastfeeding woman and don't pump your breast). She also seemed to be very flat chested as a nursing woman with a new born baby (the baby didn't even look like she was a newborn but like a year old LOL). All in all, this cheap Netflix production is not worth our time to watch. I am going to check the film title next time on Google and then watch. Some of these Netflix shows are absolutely waste of time to watch. TLDR; Not recommended...
Fair Play (2023)
Not a total waste of time but almost
I agree with another reviewer that this movie looked very odd location-wise; 10 seconds into the movie I had to pause the film and see where the country of origin was, which said the US. This was not filmed in the US at all, not American movie anyways. I don't live in the US anymore but I could tell this weird vibe instantly only 2 min into the movie literally. MANY tell tale signs, the people, the decor, the apartment (what is that hallway light? I have NEVER seen that in North America anywhere, Eastern European vibe coming out from the ceiling light, definitely not NY, not of America), the traffic, restaurants, bars...just every single detail was just very much off. I was like I don't recall this in NY, and the restaurants looked off (I couldn't tell what exactly), the bar looked cheap (and off vibe, not NY or first world country bars). Yet she was telling the psycho fiance it was $300 a glass. LOL The stripper was not American, the girl is not American. Fashion was off. Then I read other reviewers that said this was filmed in Servia...a third world country Eastern Europe, yeah I could understand why now this off vibe coming out throughout the film. Very strange. They tried tp make Eastern European country into the US and some developing country's city into NY city, LOL. Jeez.
Aside from the wrong location choice which added the weirdness to the psycho couple's extremely odd and unhealthy behaviors, the storyline is extremely frustrating. Let's be real. No successful women in any professional business setting think or behave like this fake female character ANYWHERE in the world, and I have worked in different countries both in the West and the East. I am not sure what this director or script writer was thinking, but this is not how most professional women who are experienced behave. And she won't get a promotion like that when she looks to be in mid 20s? Working only for 2 years she gets an office LOL Omg this is just very much fake storyline and unrealistic in real life. Maybe after 10 years in the industry, and that is maybe when you not only have talents but have the timing right.
I was also disappointed I almost stopped watching this movie, the fact that these actors/actresses in the movie are not very attractive/good looking. None of the guys in the movie was cute or handsome, and none of the women in the movie was beautiful/pretty. Is this main character, is she supposed to be beautiful in this movie? I have worked for top investment banks. I have seen better looking traders (handsome) in real lives than this movie, and they are from different countries but bright and most of them are over the top. Have seen keyboards and monitor flying, especially the exotic traders, they can be crazy when they lose millions, which I do understand. But can you please cast better looking people? Not below average people please. I mean when I watch movies I want to see good looking people if I have to watch the same people for 2 continuous hours...especially if they are unknown actresses/actors. These people are not attractive.
The storyline was also unrealistic...it is about two people acting like psychopaths in unique ways torn between a personal relationship and the professional life. This is why I do not mix or sleep with anyone at work no matter how hot he may be, there is a reason such policy exists in a professional setting where a lot of money gets exchanged, clouds your judgement and affects the company; do not get involved personally with anyone at work like this EVER. Not worth it. Regardless the guy was unattractive however (not sleepable politely put, lol).
It was also unreal that she didn't recognize how degrading it was for him that she got promoted instead of him. She was behaving like a 5 year old ignoring everything and the guy was also acting like an immature idiot. If I were her I would have broken up with him IMMEDIATELY when he showed the slightest sign of jealousy towards her and especially when he asked her favors at work..., that's crossing the line. In real professional life, both would have been terminated after that stunt him walking into the clients (and why Romanian clients? Another third world country, the story is really ridiculous and fake, this does not happen in real life, seriously). She instead told the big boss (who was not very attractive also), some fake story that he was stalking her LOL. Haha I was like OMG these psychos deserve each other :D
TLDR, a terrible and unrealistic storyline, not good looking/attractive casts, and frustrating scenes. Not worth it. The fact that Servia was presented as NY city was a joke in itself. Not recommended.
Pain Hustlers (2023)
Loved the female executive portrayal
I loved the fact that this is not the portrayal of a typical male main character of the Wolf of Wall Street type movie (how outdated was that movie from 80s). It's 2023 we couldn't really related to that male only club type theme of the 80s story nor their culture of what happened then. This is about a female main character who wasn't going anywhere in life suddenly became a pharmaceutical executive and the important figure in the company using her natural talent and did the right thing at the end to make amends. I was surprised she ended up getting 15 months in jail sentence even though she basically was the sole reason Feds could charge these conning pharmaceutical executives who had no work ethic whatsoever (from the beginning...) and hurt many people in real lives by the time they were caught. I thought Andy Garcia was brilliant (and yep I recognized him right away after 5 second into the movie lol). He played a passive aggressive narcist type Doctor/Founder of this crazy pharma. Company who faked the trial results and ended up going to jail for 5.5 years in real life (wow after killing so many people he only did time for 5.5. Years real shame...). And apparently this was the first time in history of America that Feds could charge pharmaceutical executives and hold them accountable (any jail time..). I was really surprised that this was the first time they could hold these crooks accountable, especially with so many of drugs that were released from the pharmaceutical industry in the US, FDA must be asleep lol. I did love the fact that it was modern, female hero type real life event. As a professional woman in man's world not coming from the rich background/given everything I could relate to the main character of why she did what she had to do. I would have given it 8 or even 9 if the setting was not so cheap...maybe it was like that in real life as this is a real life based on book type movie, but the setting was just cheap. I also didn't like Chris Evans, he looked to be out of place/odd one out while other casts just appeared to belong there. I wouldn't have picked him for the role. Other than that it is worthwhile watching. It was entertaining to watch and very much relatable as a modern day female professional.
The Capture (2019)
Mediocre at best
It is not a bad show in terms of quality of the film itself especially this was on Netflix, and way better than some boring movies out there especially these days, but as many people said, the storyline has so many flaws it is not logical or gave off the fake vibes. Also it doesn't really happen that the US government employees (spies) can contribute directly in murdering a British citizen (the human rights lawyer), that never happens in true life. Imagine the controversies that would create unless I know the UK is like a underdog and slave to the US, which is not the reality...UK does its own thing (trust me they aren't the same as the US I lived in both countries and as much as UK can be as corrupt as the US it isn't like the US at all). I mean this show takes place in England and only the dirty work like murdering people (two UK citizens get murdered on the show by this plot), and only by the hands and commands of the US spies from DC?! Nah it never happens. Imagine the unlikely scenario of this taking place in real life. If they're going to get rid of UK citizens (and they're like Human Rights lawyers how corrupted and flawed they may appear to be), British spies are going to get rid of them themselves, that is for sure. British federal agents aren't going to let American spies dictate the terms or expect them to follow their commands... No country spies would unless they themselves truly feel they're a great threat to them (in this show they are not, as they end up letting the "controversies" to live, which is also very unlikely and strange ending...). It is just that the storyline is very flat and UK actors/actresses aren't that great. I got interested when American actor (the main older guy) showed up and got interesting but I almost stopped watching the show around third or fourth episode as the story is boring AF...I also didn't think the American lady boss who got off of the plane was believable in real life...yeah that younger lady would supersedes in ranks in the DC as if she can ever be a boss to him...I mean get real here, that never happens in DC or anywhere, he is 20 years older than her...The entire storyline was just unbelievable and just goes on and on without having us to feel satisfied or actual justice taking place. Btw, I have no problem my government makes the extremists bad guys as long as it has some truth to it and not completely fabricated and protect the country and its allies. Protecting our country means protecting our allies means protecting our friends and families, we need to stick together. And I have seen some evil people do bad things from these backward countries, at the same time wanting to live in our society with no moral compass. Spies or not our government employees do however serve us and work for us, so as long as our citizens are not harmed (no collateral damage please), I am all for it, they need to do what they need to do to protect us all.
Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (2021)
Strangely written, odd storyline, and badly utilized and unmatched casting
As many commented I think the casting and their roles are poorly matched. The storyline and the plot are really weak, which makes it worse. I too agree the first one was way better though it wasn't great. I have no idea why they decided to make a second version off of a mediocre movie. It was average at best in the first one, I thought there is usually a sequel or encore of a great movie not a mediocre movie. They really need to get better more creative people in the movie industry. I think Hollywood is going down the drain along with the economy of the US which is ruining the world economy as well.
I did like the chemistry among the three, Samuel Jackson, Ryan Reynolds and Salma Hayek. They were funny in several scenes as they were with the first one released in 2017, but other actors and actresses are oddly placed as if they just didn't fit into the film and the roles, especially Morgan Freeman and Antonio Banderas (they both were part timers in this film). And the fact that Morgan Freeman was somewhat oddly the "stepdad" to Ryan Reynolds just didn't match this film. I think Samuel Jackson is funnier comedian and better actor (way way better) than Ryan Reynolds and he outshined the main character Ryan Reynolds to the point he was not needed in this film almost. Salma Hayek was quite funny with heavy accent and I really enjoyed Samuel Jackson and Salma Hayek (they were both really great in this movie, I am not surprised as they are always great in movies), but other actors were just simply unimportant decorations/monumental figures, they just didn't play roles to make up for their names. I think the casting is very poor here for this reason, unmatched actors playing unmatched roles in every one of them except Samuel Jackson and Salma Hayek. This film would have been great without Ryan Reynolds and other decorative figures. They could have spent a lot more on developing a better storyline by hiring a better writer, and spend more on action scenes as they could be improved.
The story is also all over as if it was about some kind of living up to the expectation of AAA rated bodyguard vs about having a kid of a crazy couple vs. Starting a normal married life vs about villain trying to win over a world, vs you name it. Strange really. I mean Interpol located in Italy is a joke actually. Greece and Italy are developing countries...how can Interpol HQ can be located in Italy? Really odd and unrealistic. Scottish Interpol agent also doesn't happen either...
I would like to see more movies of Samuel Jackson and Salma Heyek in comedy movies but other actors nah I could do without.
Meet Joe Black (1998)
Slow to watch and Took time to finish watching it
It is not a bad movie but awfully long (over 3 hour long :o ) for some simple yet not so special story. Way way way too long... I think I am being quite generous for rating at 6 just for the great acting of Anthony Hopkins and other actors even minor ones. Brad Pitt is very young here (more than 20 years ago) though other than these two no one special on the list of casts worth mentioning. I did like the chemistry of the younger daughter played by Claire Forlani of the chairman (Anthony Hopkins) and Mr. Joe Black (Brad Pitt). Just that the script is very poor and flat. I may leave the theater if I watched this in a movie theater instead of Netflix as it took me 5 sittings+ to complete watching it till the end. I mean unless you have endless free time people won't watch it till the end. I had nothing else to watch as movies these days that are coming out are rather lame so I watched it till the end, but I won't watch it 20 years ago (hence this was first time watching it no one talked about this) as there were other awesome movies to watch then. Is this Oscar winning movie? Nope. It is really bad script, I mean it serves no purpose really other than maybe if you are really old and near retirement age it may make you think not to take life for granted, and that is if you are a person who may have not lived the life to the fullest. But for normal people, people try to live the life fulfilled, as much as possible anyways, and make an effort to be nice to people. Even then the main character played by Anthony Hopkins didn't really change who he was drastically even though he knew he was going to pass away soon or the fate of dying (everyone dies and perish). Isn't it so American or the westerner concept that there will be a death that will come to the rich to warn he may take you, because you were a stinking rich person worthy of a certain status, "nice worth enough person to get to know while the death was on vacation". Seriously like I said the the storyline itself is lame. But this flat story comes to life vibrantly by great acting of Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt (who was so easy on the eyes then, no longer now...sadly), and Claire Forlani. I just wish there will be great movies coming out even now, and not have to watch a movie from over 20 years ago with some lame storyline... TLDR; If you have plenty of time and nothing worth to watch watch it you won't have anything to lose. If you are over 60 or a senior citizen you may be able to relate to the story (I am not) given you would be similar age to Anthony Hopkins when this movie came out (in 60s then he is in 80s now). Are you young and don't have much time in your hands? No, I will not recommend it. It is over 3 hours long about a rich guy who was visited by death to say good bye to his loved ones. About a fate is what this is about.
F9 (2021)
Stupid story, stupid movie, this franchise needs to end
Once upon a time, Fast and Furious used to be a quite interesting and exciting movie with great looking gorgeous actors and actresses. I watched it on DVD way back when 20 years back when I was in 20s. Not sure why they are still making this now a stupid movie one after another in the name of "Fast and Furious" franchise, it is now insulting to the original movie all of the movies coming out in this franchise are stupid and lame. Original and a few ones after that (I even liked Tokyo Drift, it is not that good but watchable and quite funny and original "drift" lol) Now the movies in this series you can automatically assume it will not be watchable. I mean the physics of it is utter garbage, the story is even more trashy. They completely lost me and made me stop watching this trashy "movie" (on Netflix) when Mia played by old Jordana Brewster said Don needs to let her help him and "kids are with Brian"... Brian as a character played by the deceased actor by then Paul Walker who tragically died by speeding and burnt to death as the car caught fire more than 10 years ago in real life. The kids are with "BRIAN"?! Really stupid. What is this being stuck in the past thing, he died, he is gone, he died because he sped without a care in the world. It was tragic and he left a gf and a kid. That was 10 YEARS AGO. Come on man, just leave it there, we do not need to hear about Brian or Paul Walker, people move on.
Regarding characters/cast choices, it is also a garbage choice in many of them. Vin Diesel is a decent looking guy for a guy in 50s. But other ones? Either too young or too old casts. Letty played by Michelle Rodriguez...she is too old looking (not that she is old then), the thing is she didn't age well. Michelle Rodriguez must have been 40 years old back then as she is 45. She looks like 50 years old in the movie. Usually darker skinned complexion people age well, like Vin Diesel who aged well. But Michelle did not. Also I don't understand the cast choice. She isn't exactly a good looking woman even 20 years ago when this original Fast and Furious came out.
At the beginning of the movie, they were living on a farm, and she was dressed in overall...she looked VERY unattractive even from a woman's perspective. Jordana who was significantly younger when this movie came out, she was also not that attractive. Lost luster.
I think they need to stop making this movie and waste the money. There is not even a good story let alone action scenes.
The movie is now officially not to watch list as it is a waste of my time to watch. Fast and Furious movies = garbage movies. This is what happens when you are stuck in the past and do not know how to move on and stop making the garbage movies one after another. Trashy movie with trashy actions scenes not worth watching.
Skyscraper (2018)
Plot flat but actions are just ok, and casting mediocre...
I think the main actor Dwayne Johnson is a good actor and this review is not to criticize his acting skills but what almost ruined the movie was the plot. The story is very flat, it is extremely bad storyline actually. It is so bad that main thing we can watch is only in the action parts with no good story. I mean how believable and how lame, a guy who was in the military before ended up working for Feds then got blown up by some desperate criminals and lost a leg then suddenly got situated in HK...and it all happens in 10 min. Lol. Really lame. This movie is also clearly made by ignorant people who don't really know HK. HK is not some paradise (really bad there now), I have been there, lived there and it is not pretty. Their water smells really badly as they do not have really great infrastructures and you cannot drink water from the tap, and people don't drink water from glass (they only drink boiled water) especially if you're from a developed country as you would get fever (everyone gets fever once you move there in the first three-five months due to its bad hygiene situations there). When I was there I only could eat in some really high end restaurants and stay in five star hotels. On weekends, by the end of the late afternoon, I could smell my own face from pollution when I walked outside shopping all day, and that never happens in places like Tokyo, London, NY city or Paris. Just like rest of the communist Chinese cities, it is an extremely polluted city more than you can imagine. So HK is not all glitzy 100 story building (there aren't many high rise like 100 story buildings...barely 50 story buildings exist in there in reality). Also, HK Bay and Kowloon area (even main streets) are very very dirty, they probably edited the boat scene heavily to make it look cleaner. In reality it looks very dirty (black water) and it smells very bad due to pollution and heat (it is warm all year around). There are also not many foreigners from the West anymore as this is not 30 years ago HK and it is now returned to Mainland China (HK is just a part of China now and it has been for many years). Even 20 years ago there are not many westerners as many as this movie portrayed, which is not reflecting any reality of modern HK. This movie is made 5 years ago...HK they portrayed in the movie does NOT exist now.
Aside from unrealistic and overhyped HK which does not exist in reality, the action scenes are somewhat decent but not that great. I thought the first half was not too bad and I liked the scene where the DJ was climbing up the crane structure (that was a pretty good scene and he is a good actor there), but the latter half was pretty pathetic, as there is not a good plot or story that can backup some action scenes. Also it is not realistic to reboot the system of a building and try to magically extinguish a burning building when the wires have also burnt out by then. Again the story is not believable and there is not a good plot.
Recent HK to me is just China, and China is a communist country. You cannot build this kind of building with CCP interfering (again, the story is lacking reality check...). Forget about triads or whatever they make us believe (that was before China took back HK entirely). People already left HK there is nothing glitzy about it there now, and it is just a polluted city in a communist country.
Also, this movie is based around his family (his wife and two kids) of a main character played by DJ, and his wife was Neve Campbell in the movie. The two kids look like half African American...I mean if those two actually had kids, they would look half Asian (Pacific Islander, which is native people of Pacific Islands since DJ is half Samoan), and between those two the kids would look nothing like that. They would look more like Pacific Islanders with exotic blue eyes or something usually (go look at his real kids also, they don't look like African American kids like in this movie...). So again, they don't know anything about people's backgrounds, and family ethnicities either. They lack reality check...(who casted these kid actor/actress?? They have no Pacific Islander background at all...)
Casting choices are poor here.
Would I recommend to watch? Nah, there are other better action movies that are more decent with much better plot and better choices of actors and actresses.
Hollywood Homicide (2003)
Not particularly great, mediocre at best
Harrison Ford was just ok in the movie, and the younger Josh Hartnett was cute back then who played a yoga instructor part time and a player sleeping with many women aside from being a cop. I expected the movie to have better music especially the story is about rappers in a club being murdered and these cops try to catch murders. There are some good car chase scenes and light hearted comedy scenes, but they are not really funny enough and car chase scenes are not good enough like other movies. There are not eye catching cute guys aside from Josh Hartnett and I did not find Harrison Ford to be attractive in the movie nor suited for the role. Mediocre movie that took me several sittings to complete as the story is uninteresting and actors/actresses not that appealing. I would spend my time watching another better movie if I knew it would be this boring. Lame story line also. Not recommended.
Something's Gotta Give (2003)
Just ok, could be better with refreshing actors/actresses
I thought the story is well written and not boring but I want to watch nicer looking people in a movie, especially a romantic comedy. Jack Nicholson is not exactly good looking enough to date many younger women like he was in the movie (the character he played claimed he never dates women in his own age and never let them stay overnight etc.), and it is a bit unrealistic as he is not the most good looking guy and he is really old even back then... Diane Keaton attracted the younger Keanu Reeves who played a doctor...again she is quite old and in reality not many younger guys in early 30s would date this kind of women...maybe on a rare occasion but usually very wealthy (sugar mommy thing), which was not the case. Overall it had interesting cute story but the actresses and actors played in the movie would never happen in real life, so it was unrealistic. Just an average movie, not particularly interesting.
