Shake Hands with the Devil (2007)
Real and honest
I think it is very difficult to bias between intellectual and emotional conflicts in these kind of movies, as there are few that success to do so, and this is one of those few movies! Details are so real and that alone makes this movie a Must see one. Extremely correct, with fascinating details, like the black soldier at the first UN military conference who is almost sleep while General Dallaire speaks; or the children who attack U.N vehicles. I don't have information about Rwanda and its holocaust and it is always difficult to make a correct decision when everything is in a chaos (if there is a right decision at all), and the honesty and showing all the views without taking sides is one of the advantages of this movie . The dialogs can't be made up unless they are experienced, like when General Dallaire cut himself and says he wasn't trying to kill himself just to reduce the pain, it is an experience it can not be imagined but the actor "Roy Dupuis" must have an incredible imagination to carry on such an excellent performance. Also the camera has captured some unique pictures of the beauty nature, and the way characters view it. Also the music is perfectly chosen from the African culture to explain the hope and despair. Thee is always a price to pay for watching these kind of movies but if everyone pay this price maybe there will be a time that these horrible things is impossible to take place. (This is incredibly optimistic, I know!) I have to confess I nearly killed myself to watch this movie thoroughly and understand it, subtitles were dreadful; I made myself to recall French words I haven't heard more than 16 years; but I can assure you it worth it. Thank you.

It could be better
Yes this is a good movie but not as developed as it could be. I think it fell short for the part of audience who have been through such a tragic unbearable events and the part that have not been through such things ( hope they are more than the first category) are not able to actually touch the depth of the situation and have to rely on what they have hared and their environment. I think the writer, who has a noble sense of humanity tried to protect himself from the hurt and despair these kind of subject will cause to heart and at the same time that he was trying to develop the story. The meson scene is not as best as it could be. Some times it feels like the cast have not grasped the depth of the characters they represent. It's a very good movie but it could be better, this subject needs realistic art to be expressed thoroughly. There's a Canadian movie named shake hand with the devil which is about peace makers in Rwanda and it has expressed the subject way better than this one. If you like this movie I suggest you watch "Shake Hands with the Devil ".

Brilliant
Once again I remembered that a good movie can be considered as art!It doesn't need a fantasy story and millions of dollars, it just need certain level of feelings and intelligence. Lighting, the way camera follows characters, music and acting are just brilliant. The rocket becomes alive on the screen by synchronizing it's audience with the characters state of mind, step by step. The director "Charles Binamé"and all the cast members have been totally successful with evoking emotions and basic human's senses. What makes this movie different than the others is its accuracy in details and the writer fair share of attention to all the characters believes customs and limitations, making them so alive and believable. It is an intelligent movie that respects the audience with its honesty; making you think about a lot of things even days after watching the movie. Excellent job!Thank you.
