Two Days (2003)
Flawless
27 July 2004
To start, the only complaint I have with this film was its length. Too short. Plain & simple, I wanted more. The acting was superb, the character development was anything but weak, despite what some skeptics may say, and the writing was dead on. I was most impressed with Paul Rudd's performance, but that's no surprise. He is an incredible actor with more talent in his pinky than most A-list hacks put together. He deserves so much credit & critical acclaim, but is generally relegated to character roles and cameos. Then again, who says character acting is such a bad thing. That is where many of the greatest performances come out.

Also, I could have done without the sidestory of Jennifer & the sound guy. Interesting, but not necessary.

And nomatter how some may speculate, I am a sap for happy endings and I don't believe he kills himself in the ocean. Just like I don't believe that Christian Bale drowns himself in the pool in Laurel Canyon.

Pumpkin (2002)
Flawed, but wonderful...
3 December 2002
I've got mixed feelings about this movie. The acting was great, the pace was good, the directing was wonderful, but the dialogue was a little thin. There was also a lack of character development for both Pumpkin and his mother. I could have stood for more emphasis on Carolyn and her roommates' friendship. Overall, I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. It was enjoyable to watch, and as always, Christina Ricci was great.

Shallow Hal (2001)
Wonderful!
26 May 2002
It was semi-clean, not offensive in the slightest, and all around awesome! My husband and I saw this in the theatre and we adored it... We plan to buy it on dvd very soon!

Jack Black was hilarious, Gwyneth was sweet, funny, and beautiful. And Laura Kightlinger (Jack Black's girlfriend) did a cameo as one of his coworkers! Kyle from Tenacious D was also a coworker.

Extremedays (2001)
Very Pleasantly Surprised

I'm impressed... A little bit too much extreme sports for me, but other than that, wow. No cussing, no sex, but it still held enough interest that my non-Christian friends enjoyed it! If you haven't seen this yet, do!

Bubble Boy (2001)
smart & witty satire on life...
21 April 2002
Bubble Boy was wonderful! They were brave enough to give us REAL comedy that pokes fun at stereotypes & society as a whole. Witty and intelligent entertainment for fans of The Simpsons (an excellent & hillarious satire, if you choose to see that element of it) and other great farces. I agree that its definately for viewers who don't care about being PC. Political Correctness is pathetic and cowardly and I sincerely hope we are approaching an era of honesty and tolerance instead!!! Woo-hoo for Bubble Boy!

This film will be surely be a cult classic in a few years!!

If you like happy comedy that makes fun of life, also try Josie & The Pussycats (SO MANY people did not get the point) or Galaxy Quest (another potential cult classic)
