Racketeer Round-up (1934)
I love this movie!
This movie was quite entertaining. Black King was good of course, but the real scene stealer was the actor Felix Valle whose characterization of Charlie was on mark. He displayed his incredible trick roping skills and I was in awe, the best I've ever seen! This flick had good acting, a good story, decent directing and kept my interest throughout it's 57 minute duration. My only wish was that the same cast would have been used in other movies since they all were so enjoyable. Racketeer Roundup (1934), aka: Gunners & Guns (1934) is a flick that won't disappoint. An interesting side note, since I was so intrigued by Felix, I looked him up and was pleasantly suprised to see that two of his movies were posted on YouTube, Kidding Katie (1923) and Stay Single (1924), both Christie Comedies movies staring the equally talented Dorothy Devore that deserves her star status being both cute and funny in each movie. Felix did no trick roping in either picture, but held his ground in two very likable roles. It's interesting too, to see how versatile actors are able to transition into two different genres of movies. One can truly appreciate such talent.
