Emily in Paris (2020– )

Ridiculous but fun.

This show is the equivalent of eating pizza and ice cream at the same time. It's like Gossip Girl on steroids. It is fun for what it is. It has made me laugh out loud at times. Then there are times I cringe. I can't recommend the show because it's ridiculous. There are much better shows out there, but are they as fun? Probably not. If you like mindless fun, watch it.

The actors elevate the show. They do a good job. The less said about the writing the better. I wonder what the actors will say after the show has finished? Some will likely be embarrassed to be associated with the show, but I don't think they should be. Ice cream and pizza are great.

12 Monkeys (2015– )

So good.

How this only has a 7.6 score is strange. Having seen the movie years ago, I decided not to bother with this tv show. How wrong I was. I finally chose to watch it. Sure, the show starts off a little uneven, but that is the case with many good shows. What matters is the improvement over weeks, months and years.

The Expanse is the best Sci-fi show since Battlestar. This show is not far of. It's a must watch for anyone who enjoys Sci-fi. Even those who don't enjoy Sci-fi that much will still find this show interesting. The cast and crew did an amazing job. They have much to be proud of. I especially loved Emily Hampshire's performance. She is mesmerising in this.

Strange But True (2019)

Better than the rating suggests.

This is a solid movie. Slow in parts, but not too slow. It throws in a few surprises, but I saw many of those coming. Very few movies are truly original these days, but this film does a good job of repackaging what has come before. Can't complain about the acting and directing. It's solid enough for a film of this kind.

It's a decent little movie, which I would recommend.

The Wolf Hour (2019)

Watts saves the movie

Watts is one of the best actors of the last 20 years. Without her, this movie would have been a disaster. Watch it, just for her performance alone.

Night Hunter (2018)

Well, there was so much potential with this film. It could have been edited better to make it more cohesive. It just feels disjointed. The performances are okay. You do expect better from a cast with so much talent. Would I recommend someone to watch this? Flip a coin, you will be fine either way.
