Red Eye (2005)
A Great Thriller for the Summer!!
The Red-Eye was definitely a change for the summer that has been filled with lack-luster films. The Red-Eye provides off the edge seat suspense along with some action. Throughout the whole movie you know something is going to happen, but there is so much suspense it makes you want to squeal. The main characters played by Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy delivered a wonderful performance.
You know a movie is well received by the audience when you can hear claps within the movie. There are parts where the crowd cheered and clapped when the "bad guy" played by Cillian Murphy was hurt etc. Everyone clapped when the little girl pushed her bag and made Cillian trip. That was an awesome scene. The whole movie kept me watching and waiting to see what the end result would be. I am very satisfied with the movie and I encourage everyone to see the Red-Eye. You surely will not be disappointed.
Fantastic Four (2005)
Fantastic Four? Maybe Mediocre Four
I have to admit that Fantastic Four was not as fantastic as I thought it would be (excuse the pun, couldn't resist). While even if you try to deal with the movie as plain silly fun, it still fails. I have to admit I do not know anything about the comic book so I was left a little clueless at certain points. But shouldn't the movie deal with telling the audience about the background information? I personally think that the movie lacked direction and could've been better, but wasn't. The actors were very beautiful and handsome, but they lacked any personality. The only one I thought did well was The Thing. The others were just sub-par. Jessica Alba, being as hot as she is, couldn't make the movie any more enjoyable.
By the end of the movie, I was questioning myself. This is it? The movie was just filled with light overused humor, along with kiddie special effects. A movie that could've been fantastic turns out flat. In my opinion it's worth a rental and well maybe go and see it in the theaters for the eye-candy. Other than that, you may want to skip it and see something else.
Mansfield Park (1999)
ehh an okay movie i guess
I was flipping through the channels when i stumbled upon this movie. I decided that I needed some time to kill so I watched the movie. When it was finally finished I had mixed feelings about the movie. At times i felt bored and confused. The movie in my opinion doesn't really stay true to the novel. But whateva. 4/10
Black Knight (2001)
This movie is a joke
This movie has got to be one of the worst for Martin Lawrence. There were laughs here and there, but the plot of the movie was just stupid. And how many times have you seen when there was a person you saw before in the past and then saw a future one. Well anyways. This was a waste of my money. Not to mention that the theatre I went to totally sucked! It just made the movie even worst! But anyways maybe if I watched the movie again I "might" enjoy it.
Where the Heart Is (2000)
Simply Beautiful
I loved this movie! When I first saw it i was just blown away. Okay maybe I'm being a little over exaggerating, but still. I really enjoyed watching this movie. I really like the movies that Natalie Portman does. She's a real role model for girls out there like me. Americus is so cute in the movie. And Forney is just that regular Joe that is totally in love with Novalee, but she doesn't see it that way. Any ways I suggest that you go now and rent the movie! It's worth the watch.
Resident Evil (2002)
Its alright...
This movie was alright. I watched the movie with my friends and all of them freaked out when they saw the zombies, but when you think of it..the movie wasn't that scary. You could tell when all the scary parts were coming. Is it just me or something? I did enjoy the movie until the end came. I think the end could have been a little better. But other than that. Resident Evil is enjoyable.
Bishôjo senshi Sêrâ Mûn (1992)
A nice send of to a GREAT series (some spoilers)
I must admit that I am one of those devoted Sailor Moon Fans. Bishojo senshi Sailor Moon has been a great experience for me. I loved the show when it first came out and I still love it till the end. I gotta say that when I first saw Sailor Moon it was the horrible dubbed versions shown in the U.S. The U.S. sucks at showing anime! But that's off the subject. Any ways, when I started watching the Subbed versions (note I'm Chinese/American) I just loved the series more!
I'm quickly saddened when I found out that the series was ending, but I guess everything has to end some day. Am i not right? Well the Sailor Stars was a nice series. But HEY! only Mamouru can call Usagi ODANGO! hehe. I really liked Seiya. It was sad that he was in a one sided love. I think that Mamo-chan should have been in the series more. I mean if it's the last season I would like to see some of him!
The final battle was really good. At the end its Usagi with Mamo-chan. They kiss and its the end. I was crying so hard that the series was really over. My friend and I just loved Sailor Moon so much! If you havn't seen of Sailor Moon or dare I say never heard of it...GO SEE IT NOW!
