Ponniyin Selvan: Part Two (2023)
The Great Movie
The moment you walk out of PS 2,you have mixed feelings about it. It runs for 2.45hrs and yet the plot feels rushed at times.
Stay away from spoilers to enjoy the plot twists in the movie.
Comparatively PS2 is better than PS1.
'd say Mani Rathnam gave Faces to the characters in the book and even if you are not impressed with the movie you can now read the books with much clear and accurate imagination of the chola kingdom.
That women is a wonder. The way she screamed in that one scene, holy goddamn.
Vikram as aditha karikalan , that dude is just like fr . Born to get his heart broken by beautiful women.
Maharashtra Shaheer (2023)
Best Marathi Movie
The art field as a producer, director, writer, singer, Shahir Sable was also actively involved, initially, in India's freedom struggle with Sane Guruji, and later in Maharashtra's freedom struggle.
Shahir Sable's life from his days as young 'Kisna' in Pasarni to Padmashri Krishnarao Ganpatrao Sable is portrayed on screen with songs composed by Ajay-Atul interlaced with the story.
The songs and the background score beautifully blend with the screenplay. It's a treat to watch and listen to "Jay Jay Maharashtra Maaza..." at the end.
The filming of village scenes was very detailed. Childhood filming of shaheer is treat to watch. Ore independence era shown very creatively.
Ajay Atul music simply awesome. The way they tried to cover almost all songs of shaheer was treat.
Kanjoos Makhichoos (2023)
Light hearty and innocent
Kanjoos Makhichoos is an old-styled family entertainer film and the makers failed to deliver a convincing social commentary. The film lacks good humour and impactful dialogues. Most of the jokes fall flat and there were only a few funny scenes that can make the viewers laugh.
Kunal over shadows everyone with his performance. You start the movie with smile and it's ends with same emotions. Although you feel few flows here and there but you can neglect these things. In the recent time comedy movies are rare to watch which entertain us. But this movie is perfect combo of emotions and comedy. Shweta Tripathi was surprise in the movie. She has captured that small town girl role pretty well.
Movie gives amazing message on how important parents are in ones life.
A family movie after many years. Complete Family Drama! Good satire on the activities of government agency representatives.
Kunal's character got some similar vibes as in Lootcase. Overall, a complete entertaining film.
Apache Rifles (1964)
Exciting western crammed with action and thrills
This western is purely forgettable but still agreeable to watch, well made, fast paced but with no surprise at all. The action is sporadic with the narrative in the centre, however, when the action comes, it's stirring. There's a particular scene that is quite fresh: Audie and L. Q fight it out in the desert, then stop and duck as the Apaches rush by, and there's a point when they slip into a crevasse of a rock as they rush by again.
Army will guarantee that white miners in search of gold will not trespass. Unfortunately, what Captain Stanton doesn't quite appreciate is the fact that few things stir up greed more than newly discovered gold and because of that some people are willing to do anything to get their hands on it. So if that means starting up another war with the Apache then that is what some of these miners are perfectly willing to do. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this was a solid Western for the most part which had an underlying message about racism that was difficult to ignore.
Truth be Told...His Obvious "Screen Presence" and Acting was Always a "Work in Progress" for the "Medal of Honor" Recipient and the Most Decorated Soldier of WWII.
I will always remember William Witney as the greatest serial maker of all times; remember him during the forties era Republic Pictures. But besides this, with maybe except BONNIE.
