Makes You Put Down Your Phone and Reflect
13 December 2023
Surprised by so many negative reviews here. It was beautifully shot. Felt rather artsy at times. Strong acting by the entire cast. A unique take on an all too familiar theme.

This movie is making a statement about America's political plight in a techno driven world. A highly plausible and thought provoking plot.

Very interesting camera work and shot with perspective.

The Tesla scene was a poignant message about automation and how it can be useful but also detrimental.

The family dynamics between the parents and their children were convincing and reflects today's modern relationships.

Nice to see no sex, violence, or other formulated movie making for a change.

Made for an open minded person longing for a slow burn that expresses what we all think about regarding the over dependency on our technology.

Loved the ending as its meant to give you pause.

Outstanding. A joy to watch. Artful Story Telling.

Absolutely stunning. Fabulous directing, script, characters, soundtrack, and storytelling. The trailer was intriguing but unlike most did not reveal the best aspects of this show. It starts slow and gradually picks up momentum. As you watch you get hooked on the storyline and feel strongly toward wanting more. The complexity of the main characters journey in the form of animation is captivating. One of the better shows of 2023. It delivers everything you expect from a high quality, thoughtful, intellectual, and action packed series. The fight scenes and transitions as the main character's past truly art. Do not miss this show.

Full Circle (2023)

Worth Watching (Surprised By Negative Reviews Here)
19 July 2023
I don't quite get the negative reviews. The show is interesting in my opinion and I plan to watch it through. A few past favorites have been Ted Lasso, Succession, Billions, Mare of EastTown, The Old Man, Queens Gambet, Last of Us, Top Boy. So if you are a fan of these too, then I think you will enjoy Full Circle. While it may not be brilliant it's thought provoking. Plus, has an excellent cast, soundtrack, and unusual storyline. It may not become an Emmy nominated show but after the first two episodes I am left thinking or reflecting back on certain scenes and eager for the next episode. For anyone looking for something outside of the typical Hollywood studio formula I say give it a chance.

Manhunter (1986)

Very Engaging Film
24 May 2023
I saw Manhunter in the theatre many years ago. Since then, I have come back more than once on DVD and Online Streaming. It is one of my top 5 movies of all time.

Not quite sure why. I reckon it's the script, cast, and pace. It's a very good suspenseful story. There is a tiger scene which intrigued me. As does the notion of getting into the psyche of a mad man almost by way of something similar to method acting.

It's enjoyable from start to finish. Free of gratituitous sex, violence, special effects.

It's hard not to like both the antagonist (evil as he is) and protagonist. A very relatable and believable set of acting skills are evident throughout. But given the cast that is no surprise.

An uplifting, inspiring, motion picture.

Refreshingly powerful and entertaining. A compelling story about a side of sports you don't hear much about. There are some lines in the film that force a pause (a shoe is just a shoe until someone steps into it, you are remembered for the rules you break).

No sex, no violence, just a touch of profanity. The cast, acting, and script, direction were fantastic. The selection of music used throughout the film in nothing short of brilliant.

The chemistry between Matt, Ben, Jason, and Chris shines.

From the opening scene until the last credit at the end, just captivating.

One of the best films I have seen in a long time.
