A beginning overload with past emotions
8 September 2023
This is getting really difficult to watch as a lot of intense emotions surface watching these episodes and I can't remember a show that ever felt like that, let alone for a reboot. But seeing all those memories, references, things I've been wrestling with in my mind that left me a bit touched, a bit scared, with sweet and bitter tastes. And the writers know how deep the imprint of Adventure Time still is in our soul; so they genuinely sparkled that rebooted world with everything that made it successful and have great talents to suggest it to the spectator at a proper pace to intensely enjoy those memories.

Gosh I don't think I've ever been that eye-blurry throat-coated about any other show. This is starting really well.

Heavy

My fingers were deeply buried into the armchairs and I had tears in my eyes watching the end of this film.

It's probably the saddest film I have watched since "Grave of the Fireflies", it's really as moving. I basically gave away my snacks after the movie because it's the sort of story that leave you with a deep mark and the feeling of injustice that give you this little push, this will to change things up.

If the scenario is pretty great at gaslighting the audience making that inner flame burn in you, the actors are playing with your emotions and the performance of Brendan Fraser is spectacular.

I want to shout to the World: watch it!

Definitely one of my favourite show!

The first season is more educational and the second is more fictional (like a lot of people, I prefer the second one) and it's incredibly sad there are no 3rd season.

It might be shocking for non-Europeans (especially if you come from a puritan culture) but this sort of humor is incredibly refreshing, modernizing a genre that couldn't pass the current clean&soft standards and I'm grateful it exists.

This is a nugget of pleasure that shouldn't be watched under 16 but the direct tone with satirical humor will pull some laughs out of you and there's even a deeper reading for intellectuals.

Enjoy.
