Best script of 2006
3 April 2007
I decided to watch this movie despite Will Ferrel which I really liked on S.N.L but usually does stupid comedies I do not enjoy. The idea really intrigued me, its a story about a guy working for the IRS that has his days planned out to the max and one morning suddenly starts hearing his life narrated by a female voice which he can't shake. All of a sudden his whole perfectly organized world is shuttered. Now he has to decide if he wants to accept it or do something about it.

Also on this movie are Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman all doing amazing work especially Thompson and Gyllenhaal. The script is just brilliant and keeps you guessing all the time, also making fun of itself as a story.

I really enjoyed the time watching it.

Predictable but very enjoyable
2 January 2007
This movie I kinda expected to fail and I ended up rather enjoying it. Its sorta like all the movies that "princess bride" did the parody on. Its also kinda predictable all the way, BUT the acting is brilliant and the story is compelling and you get to care what happens to the characters. Edward Norton plays the magician and Jessica Biel plays his love interest. Paul Giamatti plays the chief of police and like he usually likes to do kinda steals the movie from Biel and Norton. The story is about Norton but the true narrative is Giamatti's. It kinda reminded me of The usual suspects at one point, Time flew by and I really enjoyed it.

8/10 and its 8 only cause its so predictable.

Gilmore Girls (2000–2007)
The wittiest Show on Television
5 September 2004
"Gilmore girls" is very unique series and one of my favorites it looks like many other series from a glimpse but after watching a few eps you know there something special about this one.

Story line: The show revolves around a mother daughter relationship, the mother

Lorelai Gilmore ( Lauren Graham) got pregnant in the age of sixteen while living in a very old fashioned conservative house and had to run from home. Lorelai basically raised her daughter Rory all on her own without any help, she chose the strange strange small town of stars hollow as her home where she works and lives. the small town embraced the young mother and her tiny daughter, and it all turned out OK and since both mother and daughter have only 16 years apart they are more friends then anything else so they share everything in their lifes.

What is so special about this show?

1.Normal 45 minute show has around 60 pages of script this show has between 80-90 pages, and this is true to every ep. The reason the show has so much text is the speed in which Lorelai talks and the unbelievable amount of pop culture references thrown every step.

2. Golden globe nominated actress Lauren graham who plays one of the wittiest characters ever seen on television since 'Frasier crane'. Lorelai can come up with one unbelievable line after another. she drives her parents and male friends nuts in a way you can't believe it. She struggles with raising a daughter to have a better life then she did and yet they are so much alike its scary. and it does not hurt she is one of the prettiest and sexiest characters on American television above the age of thirty.

3. Alexis bledel who play Rory Gilmore is one of the smartest 16 year old girls ever on television, Amy Sherman paladino writes such incredible dialogues that you can stay amazed for minutes after another perfect scene is over.

4. The parents played by two film greats like Edward Herrmann and Kelly bishop brings the show a whole different dimension, you start by hating Emily Gilmore for all the tough things every parent does, but bishop put so much life into this character and so much dept that she might end up as your favorite. Herrmann shows us in a single sentence why he is in the top of his profession for so many years.

Another huge reason to love this show is the collection of odd ball and lovable characters from Michel the annoying French guy to the accident prone chef sookie.

This show is about the relationships of three generations of the Gilmore girls all met with equally witty leading men from Luke the owner of the diner to max the teacher from Rory's school.

if you like smart dialogue and a show that can really make you think this is the show for you.

Cast:

Lauren Graham - Lorelai Gilmore Kelly Bishop - Emily Gilmore Alexis Bledel - Rory Gilmore Keiko Agena - Lane Kim Sean Gunn - Kirk Gleason Edward Herrmann - Richard Gilmore Melissa McCarthy - Sookie St. James Jared Padalecki - Dean Forester Scott Patterson - Luke Danes Yanic Truesdale - Michel Gerard Chris Eigeman - Jason Stiles Milo Ventimiglia - Jess Mariano Liza Weil - Paris Geller

Entourage (2004–2011)
Look for this one to go the distance.
20 July 2004
There is no doubt in my mind that the most interesting shows have came out of cable in the last two years and this one is no exception. This show revolves on the life of a movie star and his entourage that consists of 3 friends and an agent (played brilliantly by Jeremy piven) If I have to sum up this show in one sentence it would be:

Larry sanders meets sex and the city.

since it revolves around tinsel town it has endless plot possibilities, and its always interesting to see more of the back stage of the movie business especially when it feel like the real deal as the old Larry sanders show did for late night talk shows.

I Highly recommend giving this one a chance, it might turn out to be the dark horse of the season.

Troy (2004)
10/10
The must see movie of 2004
23 May 2004
It has been a while since I had the pleasure to write a review about a movie with only good things to say. This movie was superb in all aspects, its an intelligent upgrade to "Gladiator" all the things that it should have been and didn't. The acting by pit, o'toole and Bana was very good. I almost did not notice the time goes by, The action scenes were very well directed, the fight scenes were Amazing. This movie is about the known story of Helen of troy, but it chooses to depict what really happens to the characters in a war, The senseless violence and unhappiness is very well portrayed. There are three relationships that are the real subject of the film and each one deals with different aspect of war. The dialogue was Fantastic, especially the lines of rose Byrne she stole the movie. If you are looking for Huge battle scenes and action sequences its for you. If you are looking for Great romances and epic tragedies its for you. If you like Great acting and very well rounded characters its for you.

I give it 10/10

Love Actually (2003)

Great ups terrible downs - Great cast
11 April 2004
I started to see this movie hoping it wasn't going to be too much a "chick flick" like "under the Tuscan sun" well I was half right...

The movie is well written, the cast is nothing short of brilliant.

The movie has many ups and downs from totally boring kitsch to brilliantly funny bits, I laughed my ass off. So here my reasons for seeing and not seeing it:

Pro: Liam Neeson,Alan Rickman,Martine McCutcheon,Emma Thompson and Laura Linney are just fantastic. The movie has some great comic moments, Elisha Cuthbert and Claudia Schiffer have a cute and sexy cameos.

Its a lot of fun if you don't take it too seriously.

con:

The Keira Knightley,Hugh grant and Collin firth plot lines are pretty stupid and even the good acting does not save the script on those plot lines. all in all well worth the time.

Out of Order (2003)
10/10
Brilliant new show that we should see.
12 June 2003
After the pilot and 1st season ep I am thrilled ! This is a dark troublesome and sexy show which is a refreshing change to all the too nice things coming out from Hollywood. The story is about a couple screen writers trying to keep their jobs and self identity in modern day Hollywood, while exploring the tough world of couplehood, kids, temptations and out of marriage affairs. The show has great pace, fantastic imaginary scenes and very well done sex scenes that could only be done on "Showtime".

The couple is played by Eric Stolz (killing zoe) who believes his life is filmed for studio audiences so he talks to us (the camera) and explains his thoughts and decisions and asks our approval as a sort of focus group, which allows hilarious scenes to occur. Playing the wife is Felicity Huffman (Frasier, wife of William H. Macy) who plays a clinically depressed woman ( brilliantly) that has very sharp mood swings and you never know how she will wake up in the morning she brings so much dept to the character you will be amazed. another great surprise in there is a very sexy role played by Justine Bateman (family ties, who knew !!) believe me you won't recognize her.

to conclude this show has enormous potential if the writing staff will keep up the good work we will have another great choice to see for many years so go see it and take a good look at yourself afterwards.

One of the true giants of Cinema history
1 March 2002
I watched this movie many times and I think it was brilliantly filmed the acting by paul newman was oscar deserving, taylor was her usual self, the big surprise for me was the amazing show by burl ives as newman's father,

I think Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize winning play never looked better, they really did justice to his incredible writing. The drama is thought provoking emotional and should make all of us think real hard about what we are doing with our lives before its too late.
