The Blacklist: Arthur Hudson (2023)
The End Is Near
Pretty good episode. One of the best episodes we have received for the past few seasons. This episode felt pretty classic like old times. Raises the tension and stakes that the Task Force and Red are not safe anymore, anything could happen. It keeps the viewer interested and guessing. I cannot wait for the finale. It is going to be epic.
The episode is also quite emotional. Red saying goodbye to his old friends and we get to finally see Edward, Red's famous and loyal pilot, in person.
After watching this episode, you don't know what is really going to happen to the Task Force. Don't know what will happen to Red as well. This is it. This will be the end of a great era.
Just like what Red said: "Things end. So new things can begin."
The Blacklist: The Nowhere Bride (No. 192) (2023)
Season Boring after 10x09
I can't believe I am writing this even though I have been a dedicated and loyal fan supporting this series for years. Unfortunately, after the Wujing arc which is kind of a letdown since it had so much potential. The story have gotten extremely boring and dull, lacking interest, especially after 10x09. Quite the first time I fall asleep watching the Blacklist.
10x10 and 10x11 was watchable but the last two are nothing but complete fillers going over each character's backstory on the Task Force. This episode was not that "bad" compared to the previous two because it had a slightly quicker pace and a partially interesting blacklister scheme. The only episodes that I have actually enjoyed this season are the ones written by Lukas Reiter which are 10x01 and 10x09.
My main issue with the series going forward is that it just seems like the writers are amateurs and they kind of gave up with the show and at this point they just want to rush and it done over with, which I find quite disappointing. What makes it super boring: no action, simply just face-to-face closeup that I find irritating, boring dialogue and dull settings, no more interesting blacklisters, and an evident slow-pace towards the main plot.
I hope next week picks up the pace with 10x15 and 10x16.
The Blacklist: The Night Owl (2023)
Wow!
Wow! What a premiere! Season 10 starts with a loud-bang, along with an interesting mystery that immediately hooks the viewer due to how fast-pace and driven it is. No unnecessary or filler scenes in this episode, and it just get straights to the point of the story, therefore the episode does not waste time.
I was expecting a premiere that was similar to previous premieres in past seasons but this season's premiere just hit differently like a truck. I had an absolute amazing time watching this episode and it did not lose my attention at all. Highly recommend those who watched and gave up on the Blacklist to give it a chance because this is surprisingly super good.
