The Big Bang Theory (2007)
My to go comfort show
Season 1-7 are my favorites, before everyone got married/engaged and in stable relationships.
As much as Amy and Bernadette add to the show, there was something about Penny getting to know the guy while still being a struggle young actress.
TBBT is a funny, light, feel good show. All the characters add to the show, and even tho it mainly started with Penny, Sheldon and Leonard, in the end, they all end up being as important, funny, sacristies and perky.
After re watching the show probably 15 times, I wish we had seen more of Raj/Penny, Amy/Howard moments.
If you liked TBBT, I'd recommend Friends, New girl, Modern family, Brooklyn99, Two and a half men, Superstore, for the same kind of humor/genre.
One Day (2024)
It's been a long time since Netflix released such good show !
What a good surprised ! I've seen the movie years ago and when I saw the show on Netflix I thought maybe it was related but didn't think much of it. Finally after seeing it on the front page for a week I decided to give it a try. Also quick realized the main actor was in White Lotus and I liked him a lot. I watched the 14 episodes over an evening.
The chemistry between the lead is great, they did a good job.
The few last episodes definitely had me in tears. Even tho the end was to be expected, I loved them so much, wanted them to live happily ever after and was hoping maybe the end would be different.
Definitely worth the watch and hope to see Leo Woodall in more show/movies.
My Life with the Walter Boys (2023)
not much to offer
I watched mostly because of Sarah Rafferty. Sadly even she can't save the show. The acting is really poor. All the boys look awkward. Their gesture, facial expression seem forced.
The dad only cares about his trees. The 4 younger kids don't add anything to the show.
Nathan is trying way too hard with his love interest.
The love triangle is a second "the summer I turned pretty".
Jackie doesn't have chemistry with any of them. She moved on from the lost of her family really fast.
Between the mean girl Erin and the playboy Cole. This show is mostly just a bunch of stereotypes about American high school. No need for a second season with this acting and scenario.
