A Welcome Return
20 May 2023
Watching this was like greeting an old friend, or putting on your favorite slippers - it just felt right. So glad Hallmark brought this series back! Happy to see Cameron Mathison back on Hallmark, and Alison Sweeney was fantastic as always. They have a chemistry together that has always been evident in these films, and no less this one. All of the supporting actors are back, with Barbara Niven stealing every scene she was in. The movie had a new take on the mystery, with more of an historical murder to solve, and was very engaging. Looking forward already to the next one (which Hallmark has already announced)!

A Kismet Christmas (2022 TV Movie)

Gets better every time I watch it!

I liked this movie the first time it was on. I especially liked the leading lady, Sarah Ramos. She was cute and quirky, kind and sweet, awkward yet accomplished. Great story that incorporated Christmas magic and romance in perfect proportions. I liked it even more with each subsequent view - it has a lot of heart. And, to me, the best Hallmark Christmas movies always mix the romance with a healthy dose of Christmas magic, with a lot of family love to boot. This one does all of that. I hope Sarah becomes a regular Hallmark leading lady - she was just that fantastic! I highly recommend this movie.

Great movie!

Great movie - not just a great Hallmark movie - not just a great Christmas movie - great movie, period. I'm a straight guy who likes Hallmark movies, and I thought this one was terrific. Well-acted and directed, funny, uplifting, and a Christmas story to boot. Happy for the representation it gave to our fellow humans. I liked the multiple storylines also, very well done. Hallmark has done a great job this year of making really good movies that differ from their standard tropes or themes - especially this year's Christmas movies. Criticism of this movie based on hate or ignorance is not Christian, and not WJWD.
