FBI: Most Wanted: Footsteps (2024)
Poor writing with politics and mistakes
Where do they get these writers and directors? If the writers think sleep deprivation and corporal punishment are torture then what is prison. The stupid pc & politics of this show made the first couple of seasons unwatchable and they are doubling down on it again - really lame writing and politics
And what's with these shows where a cop or agent gives up their gun to talk to someone with hostages and making themselves a hostage - not heroic just dumb writing
And hiding behind a car door which gives no protection against bullets
Holstering a weapon when the terrorist has a weapon to make a speech - please stop
An agent with heals
Lots of dumb things that could so easily be done different to make these more realistic.
Madame Web (2024)
Why? & just not any good!
Madam Web attempts to delve into the Spiderverse but fails to deliver due to its lackluster action scenes lack of character journey and subpar CGI. From the outset, it's evident that the film struggles to find its footing, relying too heavily on flashy visuals to compensate for its hollow narrative and sucky characters.
The action sequences, meant to inject excitement into the film, fall flat, lacking both creativity and coherence. Instead of drawing viewers into the heart of the conflict, they serve only to highlight the film's reliance on tired tropes and uninspired choreography.
Furthermore, the CGI, touted as cutting-edge, fails to impress, with poorly-rendered effects detracting from rather than enhancing the viewing experience. From laughably fake explosions to painfully obvious green screen work, the film's visual effects only serve to underscore its overall lack of quality.
The pacing exacerbates these issues, with action set pieces shoehorned in at the expense of character development and plot coherence. Rather than serving as climactic moments, these scenes feel forced and contrived, leaving audiences disengaged and uninvested in the outcome.
Additionally, the film's heavy-handed symbolism only serves to highlight its narrative shortcomings, with clumsy metaphors doing little to elevate the shallow characterizations and lackluster dialogue.
By the time the credits roll, Madam Web leaves viewers feeling more frustrated than fulfilled, a prime example of style over substance in modern cinema. In the end, it's a forgettable entry into the genre, offering little in the way of entertainment or insight.
Lady Ballers (2023)
Good Irreverent Non PC style Comedy - Even Makes Fun of its Cast & Cameos
This irreverent comedy is a breath of fresh air, delivering laughs with its bold humor and fearless approach it is truly stunning and brave . The witty writing and hilarious performances make it a must-watch for anyone in need of a good dose of unapologetic humor especially as the point it is mocking needs exposure to wake folks up. That the performers are also mocking themselves or others in the movie is brilliant and important. This is Dodgeball and Ron Burgundy style of humor - irreverent satire mocking and good one liners along with great caricatures from some of the key DW influencers add to the fun. "Kris" is hilarious and several others of DW main talent do a good to great job in their performances. The writing dialogue and story structure do a good job in moving things along with plenty of funny moments. Those on one side of this issue will find this funny and hilarious hopefully the other side comes to their senses or can also laugh at themselves. And too bad it didn't get distributed as word of mouth of those who actually watch this should be good.
Silo (2023)
Huge worldbuilding fail / unbelievable
Not sure how the producers did not correct the biggest flaw to this book series. It makes the rest of this fantasy not believable especially as some sci fi dystopian world.
The flaw is the generator there would have to be more than one to alternate maintainence and any breakdown over a hundred and forty years - a simple solve would have been to do nuclear or since the author goes on an on describing trivial things in his book to actually take the time to design a reasonable self contained world with machinery and could computers - where are all the spare parts and components
The other fail us why all the learned helplessness / that has to be shown or explained / or does he really believe folks are just lemmings and sheep?
What a waste of great actors as readers mention that these issues just continue and there is no satisfactory explanation or believabilty to our world.
