Very Different in a Good Way
24 May 2024
I loved this movie... the fight between good and evil, light and dark, selfish versus selfless. It was very different than what I expected but it did not disappoint. The two main leads Kristoffer Polaha and Neal McDonough in my opinion were outstanding. KP has always been a favorite of mine, he's a really good actor and I love the fact he was able to do a faith based movie. Neal McDonough played his part as the devil, masterfully.

Also I must say it was nice to see a few of The Chosen cast included in this project like Elizabeth Tabbish, Paras Patel, Jordan Walker Ross. Of course it was nice to see Sean Astin in this movie as well! Thanks to the Director & Writer, Brock Heasley. I'm hoping to see more films like this in the future!

A Picture of Her (2023 TV Movie)
5/10
Watch but only for Tyler!
26 February 2024
This movie was awful, I was bored throughout. Silly story line, very silly actress (this was my first movie watching her) she constantly tugged at her sleeves, constantly pulling down her shirt when it was clearly a crop top, speaking like a little girl... I think she's very pretty but I didn't care for her acting. I also didn't care how Hallmark and the writers keep insisting on bringing up certain causes like the environment ie "her carbon footprint" gag me!!! It's also one of the reasons I watch GREAT AMERICAN FAMILY, it's a much more wholesome network. Even though I love to watch Tyler, he's handsome, sexy and I like his acting, I'm finding it very difficult to continue watching Hallmark and even though they have so many awesome actors, their story lines are so weak. I'm not saying I won't ever watch Hallmark again especially if some of my favorites are on like Kristopher Polaha, Andrew Walker, Brennan Elliot and Tyler (these are in no particular order) but I do wish Hallmark didn't feel the need to SHOVE certain "issues" down our throats. This movie was very disappointing!

My Christmas Hero (2023 TV Movie)
10/10
Yes I Gave It a 10!
26 November 2023
Ok Great American Family you did it again, you literally made me cry twice so far this season, once with Paris Christmas Waltz and now with My Christmas Hero! I wholeheartedly enjoyed this movie especially since it was about all those who have fought and still fight for our GREAT country. I had a pretty good idea this would be one of my favorites because it starred Candace Cameron Bure & Gabriel Hogan, I love them both. I also enjoyed all the supporting actors as well. I have seen most of them in other projects. As was the case with Paris Christmas Waltz, I was not immediately put into a light slumber nor did I roll my eyes once, this movie had me at hello and kept me interested until the end. I must also add, the very first scene in which I cried was of the young soldier with PTSD, too many people take for granted what our soldiers have done and continue to do for us every single day and I'm so glad it was showcased here. I loved the plot, the actors... but most of all the message! Kudos to all involved- PS: Great work CCB, your input to the network is most definitely paying off and thank you for bringing God back to Christmas 💕

Crashing Through the Snow (2021 TV Movie)

Loved it!!
23 November 2023
Even though this came out in 2021 I think... it was my first time watching and I absolutely LOVED it. I enjoyed the plot here, I found it to be different much more so than the typical Hallmark fluff at Christmas, honestly I was so happy there was no royal this or royal that - just plain people trying to navigate their way through a weird time in their lives. Sure it had a little bit of fluff but in this movie, it worked! There wasn't a character I didn't enjoy, I found myself routing for each of them in different ways. The actors who played the daughters were adorable, I immediately recognized the actor who played the father, Doc Ted from some other Christmas movies, and I've seen Amy Acker in a few others as well and have always enjoyed her "huge smile" and how can I not mention the oh so handsome, Warren Christie, I loved him in this role. Amy & Warren had good chemistry, they were fun to watch! Well done to the cast & crew.

Fantastic!!
22 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was beyond thrilled as I started watching this movie, it immediately piqued my interest and it only intensified as the movie progressed. There wasn't anything I did not enjoy.....the music, the cinematography was breathtaking, the dancing, the love story... everything!! I enjoyed the character of Henry, I found him to be endearing, I was crying at the conclusion of the movie because his dancers made his wish come true - to inspire each other, to follow your heart, to stop playing it safe, to let your guard down and basically wear your heart on your sleeve. Jen Lilley was so lovely here, she looked totally in her element, I also loved Matthew Morrison, in my opinion, they had great chemistry and worked well together and it translated so nicely in their performances as actors. THANK YOU TO GREAT AMERICAN FAMILY for not being afraid to mention religion, the true meaning of Christmas with the birth of Jesus, it's truly such a breath of fresh air. All year I look forward to watching Christmas movies as it takes my mind off of the things in this world but more times than not, I'm utterly disappointed - well not tonight... tonight was a very special two hours and I'm so very happy I sat down to watch. A job well done to all on this project, you made me smile almost as much as the beautiful Jen Lilley!

Fun!!
11 November 2023
Kudos to Hallmark for making a different type of Christmas movie. I'm so tired of the same old plot lines "saving the inn" "saving the family farm" the Royal this, the Royal that... Hallmark movies have become so boring and predictable and I find myself watching less and less with each passing year which is very sad because Christmas is my favorite holiday and watching a good movie always puts me in such a festive mood!! This movie was actually really cute, I loved the friendship between the three girls and how they interacted with each other. It's so awesome when you have a few true friends who you can rely on, have tons of fun with and just be there for each other through life's ups and downs. The movie was upbeat, cute and different - a job well done to all involved in the project!

A Dash of Christmas (2023 TV Movie)

A Dashing Good Movie
11 November 2023
Thank you GAC, I loved this movie!! The actors were very good and everything just seemed so natural. The flow of the movie was also very good.. the supporting cast were also nice to watch. I liked it because A) it centered around food and B) it wasn't a "save the farm" or "save the family inn" Yes it wasn't the most original plot but at least it wasn't one that's been done countless times. I felt the leads had very good chemistry together but natural chemistry not forced and fake. The scenery was beautiful especially the interior of their home with all the Christmas lights - so pretty and festive. Watch out Hallmark... here comes GAC!! Kudos to all involved in this project- keep up the good work!!

Never Been Chris'd (2023 TV Movie)

HORRIBLE
7 November 2023
I'm not sure what the writers were thinking with this movie but wow it was HORRIBLE. I always enjoy TH and I wonder why he even participated in this debacle. As far as the actresses, I honestly do not remember ever seeing them in a Hallmark Christmas movie but their parts were terrible. Were they told exactly how to play their roles or did they decide acting like children would make for great entertainment- either way, they were awful. I only watched for about forty minutes before I had to take an excedrin for my wildly aching head and ears. It's so sad so many of us wait all year for the Christmas movies to start and every year there's usually only two or three movies that really tug at our heartstrings. I think this is my last season for Hallmark, the movies continue to disappoint.

Ms. Christmas Comes to Town (2023 TV Movie)
8/10
Pleasantly Surprised!
30 October 2023
For the record let me say with each passing year I watch less and less Christmas movies not because I don't want to but because most of them follow the same repurposed plot lines over and over again. Well hello Ms. Christmas!! From beginning to end I wasn't bored, I didn't roll my eyes, and I didn't fall asleep! I thought Barbara Niven acted her role perfectly, she was believable, beautiful and cute as a button, nevermind she's 70, she looks fantastic. I also enjoyed BE & ED, I liked the fact they hit it off right away in the beginning of the movie instead of a build up to one small predictable kiss at the end. I say a job well done to all involved with this project and I truly hope Hallmark will not be quite so lazy when it comes to Christmas movies.... more originality like this one will keep me coming back each year. Kudos.

Where Are You, Christmas? (2023 TV Movie)

So Bad
27 October 2023
Hallmark? Really?? Your movies are getting more dull with each passing year. For me, WAYC was so bad I couldn't even finish it. I watched for about an hour but up to that point, I had not developed any special feelings towards any of the characters. Why must you try to copy movies which have been done before, it's lazy quite honestly. Christmas is such a wonderful time of year and with the way the world is now, escaping for two hours while being caught up in a warm & fuzzy movie would bring us joy. It's like you put almost zero thought into your holiday movies, there's no nostalgia, sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows, ice skating, snow (and not the fake flakes) shopping, etc. I also didn't care for the leads, I've enjoyed them both in other movies but together as leads, nah no chemistry. You missed your "mark" on this one.

Really Enjoyable
15 January 2023
I came upon this movie today and when I saw ND was in it I decided to watch and I'm so glad I did! ND & SP had great chemistry together. The script was just ok but these two actors carried it along nicely!! I'm telling you in my opinion, Nikki D is the best Hallmark actress by far. I don't find myself rolling my eyes or tuning out when she's in the movie. I truly think she's a very good actor. The landscape of this movie was oh so pretty and I love the fact this movie highlighted such beautiful horses. I'm thinking this is probably someone's true property - wow - and the stable, magnificent!! Job well done to all.
