How not to do time travel
Firstly, I wanna start off by saying I'm a massive fan of the concept of time travel. The German show on Netflix, Dark, is an amazing example of time travel done right. There is also the all-time classic, Back to the Future. This film, however, is the exact opposite.
The biggest gripe I have with this film is how annoying the protagonist is. When she wakes up in the alternate reality, she is justifiably confused with everything. She connects the dots a few minutes later and realises her reality has changed due to the ripple effects of Anay now being alive. So at this point you would think she would be exhausting all her energy on trying to get back to her own timeline (like Marty trying to find Doc in 1955 to help him get back to 1985)..... yea, no. She still insists on finding her daughter despite now being privy to the fact that in this alternate reality her daughter does not exist; she unnecessarily keeps harassing the man who in her original timeline is her husband however in this alternate timeline he has no relation to her; she's insistent her not-husband knows where their non-existent daughter is instead of trying to locate Anay or the tv and camera that is most likely responsible for her ending up in this alternate reality.
I was really hoping this would be something along the lines of Frequency - both the 2000 film and the 2016 tv show. Sorely disappointed. 3/10.
