Pitiful

This "movie" is a pitiful excuse to mash content together and give friends roles. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery--but I know Dolly Parton is not flattered. This was a horrible attempt at doing what Dolly did with her Netflix special "Heartstrings"! This was an unsuccessful attempt.

Furthermore, there was no clear storyline. If it was to be a peep into her failed relationships, I can say she succeeded. Because, like her relationships, this was a hodgepodge of messiness and rushing. I truly believe this should be banned because of just how horrible it is.

She looked at this and was pleased? Just wow! Anyone that gives this high ratings needs to have their head examined.

American Murderer (2022)

Underwhelming

I don't know where these positive reviews are coming from. This movie was a major snooze fest. It contained the most obnoxious actors in the history of Hollywood. For a character that was supposed to be charismatic, the lead actor came off more of a precocious jerk than anything. I honestly don't know how Ryan Phillippe keeps getting acting roles either. He is so wooden and one dimensional. Put both of them together and you have a recipe for pure crap. This movie was pure crap. There was nothing memorable, remarkable or good about this movie. The writers, producers and actors all should be on the FBI's Top 10 list for boring people to death.

Vanquish (2021)

Suicidal

Lord, have mercy, this movie is horrible. From the opening credits, that lasted about fifteen minutes, until I just couldn't take it anymore--there was nothing meaningful or good about this movie. I try my best to finish a movie I start, but this was mind-numbingly dreadful.

I do not know how they convinced Morgan Freeman to start in this dumpster fire. I am to put more effort (600 words) into writing this review than the writers put into writing this script. It honestly seemed like there was a different writer for each character and none of them got together to put the script together. This crap was so disjointed, sloppy and unnecessary.

Equal Standard (2020)

Horrible

Lawd, this movie is a hot mess. The acting, or lack there of, is beyond horrendous. The writing is even worse. Then, the directing and production just solidifies the awfulness of this movie. The plot goes from zero to hundred in seconds, on multiple subject matters. It literally looks like all the characters wrote their own script and storyline and they never collaborated prior to filming. Everyone was on a different subject matter. Horrible!

And, for the love of God, PLEASE STOP CASTING SYLEENA JOHNSON IN ACTING ROLES! She can't act. She can barely sing. Bring real actors, actresses, writers and scripts back. This could have been done better. Too bad it wasn't.

Above Suspicion (2019)

Inaccurate

First of all, the film is beyond inaccurate. The movie is slow, tasteless and basically victim blaming. It tries to paint the picture of an drug addicted, obsessed informant that deserved to die. It tries to paint the picture that an up and coming FBI agent was in over his head, regretful and guilt ridden. He was none of those. He was a person in a position of power that took advantage of a helpless individual, used her up and killed her. Because of his privilege, he only served ten years for murder. I hate when movies based on true stories are far from true. He is a narcissistic sociopath and should not be free. He got to only tell his story. Do not give this crap any ratings.

Horrible is an Understatement

This movie is beyond horrible and ridiculous. The acting, or lack thereof, is laughable. The script tries to do too much and exceeds at absolutely nothing. One, Monique cannot act. She is forcing this performance and not in a good way. Two, what was the costume and hair budget? Three, who told Lee Daniels to try anything remotely near directing a "horror" film, if you can call it that?

It's funny when the review asks you for more characters than the movie has? It's hard to write 600 words on this garbage. So, I will sum it up by just saying, avoid this at all costs. None of them can act or direct!

Alert: Missing Persons Unit (2023– )

God Awful

There are so many things wrong with this tv show. For starters, that "we get our babies back" is probably the dumbest tagline in the history of words. Secondly the lead actress (Ramirez) and actor (Caan) are badly cast. This show has so much potential if they had better actors/actresses and writers.

Speaking of writing, there is absolutely zero logic in most of these storylines. For it to be a show about a group of expert law enforcement professionals that find the missing, they can't seem to find a way to make this show great. Again, this show had potential but I don't see it getting renewed. Anyone with half a brain is not impressed by any of this mess. Having COVID was better than sitting through this bs.

Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story (2022 TV Movie)

Despicable

I hate that they had to overly embellish this storyline to suit a killer. She was an egotistical, self-absorbed female that opted for murder over divorce. Seventeen minutes into the film and I already see where this is headed. Poor little "Karen" is justified in murder because of blah, blah, blah.

These types of ridiculous plots, not based on any reliable facts, cripple the journalistic integrity of so-called "based on a true story" movies. When people watch these movies, we understand some things have to be included to fill in certain gaps, but this was utter garbage. I am appalled by this movie and don't recommend anyone to watch this crap.

All Rise (2019–2023)

Once Enjoyable

Before the show was canceled by CBS, it was a well written, well acted show that addressed real issues. However, since OWN & Oprah, have gotten their hands onto it, the show has become a tawdry drama of messiness. The strong, female leads, have been cheapened and are now voiceless. The dynamic that drew me to the show is no more. It has lost the essence of its greatness & has become less evolved and more dramatic.

Also, I love Christian Keyes, but this role is not for him. There is no chemistry between him & Simone Missick. The constant changing of court reporters is also overdone. I wanted this show to return but since its return, it is not the same. Oprah loves to cheapen black characters--like she's threatened by a well put together black woman with morals. I hate what she has done to the show.

If the originality is not restored to the show, I will no longer support it.

Marques Houston and Chris Stokes really need to stop trying to write, produce and direct films. First of all, this is not how battered women react in these situations. You can tell two, uninformed men wrote this garbage. And like everyone else said, this is a poor rip off of Sleeping With The Enemy.

Besides the horrible acting, or lack thereof, this movie has too many flaws to name anything good about this film. I really need Houston & Stokes to stop doing anything. Stop making movies. Stop making music. Just stop. The lead actresses are god-awful too. I can't believe how these dumb movies keep getting made.

Beyond Horrible

This movie is beyond horrible. The acting, or lack thereof, is atrocious. The lead actress is just too ugly and unbearable to watch for an hour and a half. The plot is ridiculous and all over the place. There is no backstory-just an ugly duckling that no one notices is sabotaging everything??

1. Who doesn't actually call or FaceTime people about big decisions/choices? You just randomly text, email and chat all these decisions like that's normal? Oh ok.

2. No one does reference checks anymore? Let me just hire a random stranger/stalker that showed up at my book signing. Yup. Totally believable. Not!

Finally, she overacts almost immediately and you laugh it off like it's nothing?? Beyond ignorant.

The movie is definitely a snooze fest. And most characters are beyond too ugly to not at least get an enjoyable storyline.

Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)

Garbage

It took 29 years to make this crap? It was just as horrible, if not more, than the first one. They could have kept this in the vault. Disney is really going downhill fast.

There is nothing good about this film. I'm convinced that they have kindergarteners writing scripts for them these days. I'm still trying to figure out how the first one became a classic & they go and make another one--wow. Sarah Jessica Parker is basically just a post-it note in both. Just hanging on and trying not to fall.

If you haven't seen it, don't waste your time. There is absolutely nothing magical or worthwhile in this one.

Chuck (2007–2012)

Ridiculous

The show tried way too hard to be comedic but ultimately failed. The show was already ridiculous but to get kung fu abilities from a computer upgrade is beyond ignorant.

The show could have been better without the dumb friends and the weak store front mess. He's supposed to be a computer genius but lack the basic intellect to get out of anything.

The sister was annoying. Mr. Awesome wasn't awesome just annoying as hell. The best friend was a bungling fool that was borderline obsessed and infatuated with everyone and everything except for his future. I am not sure how this show lasted so many seasons. The first two seasons were naive but season three, and I'm assuming afterwards, were just beyond inconceivable.

Elvis (2022)

Overrated

Just like Elvis, this movie is overrated. There is nothing noteworthy or exciting about the way this story was told. We could have lived without all the horrible music and focused more on the story.

This was just horribly written, directed and acted. Like most movies these days, the music drowns the audio and enunciation is apparently a lost art.

Tom Hanks is also getting worse and worse. Two horrible performances released this year by him-- this & Pinocchio. Apparently they prefer to cast a big name with a fake accent, instead of someone believable and authentic.

I can't believe this crap is rated this high.

Taken Heart (2017)

Just Dumb.

The script, the acting, the sequence of events- -you name it, it was awful. Randomly shooting bullets in the air- dumb. Finding and buying a gun, illegally, in one day in a foreign country-- dumb. Leaving your bag in a hotel room that you know is corrupt- dumb. Taking a knife to a gun fight- also dumb. The dialogue is this movie-again -just dumb.

There is absolutely nothing good about this film. It is so bad, I wished all their organs were taken and this movie never made. How does these scripts ever make it to production is the real question?

Hopefully this will post, it keeps telling me I don't have enough characters. Funny thing is, my review has more character than anything in this wretched movie.

Why was this movie made? Why did Sandra accept this bs role? Why do films execs keep casting Tatum when he is a horrible actor? Why is this movie rated so high? Just a whole lot of whys and no clear answers. I'm convinced that the good reviews are from people being paid to write them or people with low IQ's--nothing else makes sense. I couldn't even get through this crap.

Army of the Dead (2021)

God Awful

No other way to say it then it is just god awful can we please stop adding annoying, bratty children to subplots. They always fail. And she survived but should have been the first to die. This movie has too many bad parts to list and not one good thing to add. Avoid this like they should have avoided Vegas. Complete garbage. Army of Thieves was better--way better.

This series was a hodgepodge of messiness. It was overly convoluted and just to much going on at one time. It tried too hard for suspense and it just didn't work. This was also some backwoods sister swap crap that, in and of itself, was disgusting and ridiculous. It just doesn't work. I see why Netflix is losing subscribers left and right. They keep producing junk like this.

First and foremost, Hathaway looks the same before and after the makeover. She has a very plain and unremarkable face & nothing can make it look any better. The movie, itself, is utter garbage. I'm so tired of the same storyline of jealousy friends that hate you once you are more successful than them. I understand that this is based on real characters, with that being the case, they all need Jesus, a baptism and therapy. Epic fail!

I absolutely hated the main female character. She was a spoiled, self-centered, egotistical brat. She's marrying into a well-to-do family and she expects everything to stay the same as before?? Also, I don't see how this couple progressed into a loving couple? They are always at odds with each other and he's always left to compromise. Also, her teeth were the color of her hair. I never trust someone who's hair & teeth match. Can we have another movie where he divorces her & she is left in shambles?

The Flash (2014–2023)

Not a Superhero

The Flash is the worst superhero. This show is god awful. Everyone is a bunch of crybabies. Flash gets his ass handed to him every chance they get. The writing is abysmal. Iris is annoying. The villains are annoying. I don't see how this keeps getting renewed. This show is definitely for the mindless--or kids. If you're older than 13, and like this show, please reevaluate your life.

Manifest (2018–2023)

Season 1 good, nothing much afterwards

After season 1, the show got more and more toxic & inept. Everyone started getting powers. They solved Noah's Ark. The dead has arisen. And every other cliché there is, is included in this garbage. The writing became abysmal and so did the acting. I struggle to watch the last two seasons but forced myself when I thought it ended--only for them to renew it for a fourth season. Just why? Honestly, I hope they all die next season! May their world end & revelations come true.

This movie is beyond horrible. The female Sarah was a complete idiot throughout the film & I wished she had died several times. It was beyond predictable and just ignorant. Adding 3D to this probably makes it worse, not better. If you are having insomnia, put this on. You'll definitely be asleep in no time.
