Blood Free (2024– )

Thriller & chemistry

In the starting, u might feel it's too complex or uninteresting; but u should definitely wait and see the magic of this drama.

The main leads are mature actors : solid acting, so much chemistry even without any romantic scene. The plot is so futuristic. The storyline has few twists and isn't as predictable ( plus point).

Although I didn't like the side characters' dramatic angry or political scenes but all actors did a good job.

I love how Disney doesn't release basic rom com kdramas, instead they make dramas with unique thriller concepts for mature audience.

The ending was open, so I am eagerly waiting for season 2.

Maxton Hall: The World Between Us (2024– )

BEST YOUTH SERIES EVER

Was the chemistry addictive and natural ? Yes. Was storyline boring? Not at all. Was it worth binge watching? Absolutely yes.

Let's start with the male lead : he is so fine and his acting is seriously very good. He is shown as a rich kid, who is softie at heart. The female lead is great but I didn't like how she embarassed the male lead in front of other students when she was frustrated or angry.

The love story is basic ( enemies to lover trope) but it was still so refreshing. I truly loved this series ( young adults would love it). This show is far better than The Summer I Turned Pretty, in terms of character development and storyline ( I don't get the hype).

This series deserves worldwide recognition, it's dubbed in many languages and it's perfect short series.

Waiting for season 2.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (2024– )

Aesthetic but slow paced (dragged)

This drama is aesthetically stunning : the outfits, set and music is perfect. I loved the Bibo Jaan and Taj characters ( their acting seemed realistic).

This show was traumatizingly slow paced. Most of the dialogues were so dramatic and slow ( it was like a skit). Maybe that was the vibe which the director wanted to give but it was only interesting in first few episodes ( then there was a boredom slump : i literally watched it at 1.5× speed).

The plot was not that solid. I feel the whole story could have been completed in just 2 episodes but still it was dragged to 8 long episodes. It would have been better if it was more crispy.

Even the concepts shifted after every 2 episodes: first it's revenge on sister, then forbidden love, then freedom from British bla bla ( it seemed messy). This show had the potential to be a masterpiece but it definitely lacked a lot in many aspects.

The Impossible Heir (2024– )

Watching it only for the BOYS

Started this drama because of Jae wook ( he is so handsome) but the thing is this drama is kinda boring and irritating. I have tried so many times to sit through the episodes but still not finding it interesting at all. The Instagram edits of this drama are great, maybe all the good scenes are available as spoilers that's why I don't find the episodes worth watching.

The second Male lead ( In ha) is good too. But his character is so complicated ( don't know if he is loyal to his friend or not).

The female lead is so irritating ( we don't like her at all, maybe it's her character which makes her look cunning and selfish). I see no chemistry with her and the male leads ( it all seems quite forced).

The second female lead is so sassy and cool ( i actually liked her a lot ). Most of the fans wish her to be with Tae Ho ( but it's one sided love).

The storyline is complicated ( revenge --- after 5 years --- after 5 years ), so it's not fun. Actually it is a decent drama but not my cup of tea.

Doctor Slump (2024)

Good binge watch

First of all, the male lead is absolutely adorable and handsome ( giving vibes like Min Min of strong girl bong so.... ). He is having emotional side too, which is according to the storyline.

The female lead is good, she played the character well. But her off screen energy is addictive ( I saw some reel on Instagram and she looks so excited off screen), her character is actually depressed, so it makes sense that she acts a little low. This drama marked her best kiss scene, we all know this haha.

I feel like both leads nailed the role of high schoolers, it was a burst of cheerfulness and comedy.

The second lead couple is super adorable too, I actually found their story quite interesting in the last few episodes.

The younger brother of female lead is funny and innocent. Whole cast did a great job.

The cinematography is perfect. Bgm is great. The shifts between past and present are flawlessly executed. Overall, it's a great drama which will give you rom com & melodrama vibes.

Queen of Tears (2024– )

Perfection!

I have just watched 2 episodes till now and let me tell you, they were not at all disappointing. Infact, the plot is so refreshing and the cast is top notch. The cinematography is perfect and bgm is pleasing.

Seems like BEST 2024 DRAMA, I am so excited for this drama ( it's an absolute masterpiece combination of rom com and melodrama).

The ML is tired of his wife and wants divorce but he finds out she is ill. There are some hidden feelings ( which makes the storyline interesting).

To be honest, if you are experiencing a slump in kdramas, then this is the drama which will help enjoy to the fullest. The chemistry is chemsitrying. Plot is new. The outfits are stunning. The big lavish buildings and picturesque views are so pretty.

Definitely worth watching!

Chicken Nugget (2024– )

Why was this show made?

I literally found it quite funny when I first saw the trailer. I was so damn free that I decided to start watching the show.

Some moments were funny ( yes they were decently hilarious) but the plot is actually stupid. Okay even if the plot is stupid, I accept the insanity but making 10 episodes out of it is what is more ridiculous ( in my opinion 2-3 episodes were sufficient to cover the whole storyline: aliens and machine). It was dragged a lot.

It's quite weird why Netflix invested in such a stupid show, putting the acting, time and efforts of such marvelous actors to waste. Even the supporting actors are good and I think that a better show could be made with such a wonderful caste.

Overall, a waste of time for viewers as well as the artists & staff team.

Big Girls Don't Cry (BGDC) (2024– )

Refreshing! Solid acting!

The acting is top notch ( so natural), far better than that of nepo kids of Archies ( sorry not sorry, had to mention it).

The storyline is refreshing ( modern girls in an old fashioned boarding school ). I thoroughly enjoyed every character's story. All girls are so pretty. I feel it would enjoyed the most by young adults, even elder people would enjoy it as it would help them reminisce the good old days.

The cinematography is good and soundtrack is perfect. The whole set up is pleasing. To be honest, I feel this is the best young adults drama by Indian industry ( if definitely deserves global hype).

A season 2 would be great ( introducing new characters of boys's school or something) !

Our Blues (2022)

Emotional realistic masterpiece

There are different characters with detailed story given in 2-3 episodes but each character adds beauty to the drama. I cried a lot in most of the episodes ( the scenes are impactful and soul touching). It is definitely slow paced but worth watching.

Although the drama literally highlights different sorts of sadness, misery, misfortune, depression and frustration but in the end it gives a moral message of enjoying the life and being happy.

I favourite couple was the young version of first 2 episodes, followed by the high schoolers who had a baby and the Kim woo bin - Han ji min couple ( they were so natural and effortlessly adorable). The story of little girl and 100 moons was also very heart warming.

I feel this drama will help you connect to a deeper level with life.

Damsel (2024)

Great fantasy movie

I didn't know what to expect from this movie but it was definitely worth watching. Probably girls will love it more ( the female protagonist is the hero).

The starting is so visually pleasing ( the gowns, castle, scenery). Millie looks exceptionally pretty with brown hair.

The action is good. VFX are great. Storyline is solid. It's like a new version Disney story, where the female lead is bold, smart and strong ( damn, the crystal climbing looked tough: inspired me to start doing rock climbing). The cinematography is perfect.

It is not that childish and I think even adults would enjoy it. Overall a nice fantasy watch.

An Incurable Case of Love (2020– )

A decent binge watch but not the best

A girl falls in love with a doctor and decides to become a nurse at the same hospital. Later she finds out that the guy is mean. But eventually they become a couple ( mostly the girl clings into him and he just falls for her).

To be honest, i didn't like the characters that much ( the girl is stupid and awkward in most of real life situations and the boy is just acting cold and jealous). There was no decent character development.

It was a fun binge watch ( funny at times). It definitely had the potential to be better but it's alright.

The second and third lead couples 's story was not that interesting for me.

Meet Me After School (2018)

concept is bad but drama is good

When I started it, I didn't know what to expect from the story ( I thought boy would be 18 and even if he had feelings for the teacher, he would confess after few years or something) but boom, not at all like it, everything happens so quickly.

The teacher is very sweet, friendly and cheerful ( trying her best ) and the student ( 15 years old) is complicated ( haha not bad personality, little tired of family drama I guess ). I was in shock how their relationship gradually built ( it is definitely shocking).

I believe if the teacher was more strict, such situation would not arise ( she literally fell for him instantly which seems disappointing, like one should atleast have discipline and professionalism).

The storyline takes many unpredictable turns so it's interesting. It was definitely not at all boring ( a good binge watch) but I believe the concept is very controversial.

First Love (I) (2022)

Amazing drama ( must watch )

The storyline shifts between different timelines, it is presented in an interesting way ( giving details gradually). The cinematography is perfect. The actors did a great job ( i especially loved the young version of the main couple: they were so cute and refreshing).

Emotional rollercoaster ( makes you quite emotional at times ) : the story has many unexpected turns, so doesn't get boring. Some people might consider it slow ( but that's the beauty of this show : everything is so aesthetic and pleasing). If you do find it slow, just fast forward but don't quit watching it. It is a must watch.

One of the BEST JAPANESE DRAMAS ever.

The Archies (2023)

Big budget but unsatisfactory movie

What did I just watch? The storyline was so stupid as if written by a teenager. The acting was also so bad ( most of scenes were cringey, damn Hindi never sounded so bad : were they all just reading dialogues in some alien language! ) . I expected the movie to be good coz of suhana and Khushi debut, but these girls really need to work on their dialogue delivery, expression and realistic performance ( everything seemed too fake) . I know it's a musical but musicals don't have to be this cringe. Literally fast forwarded most of the scenes. Even the song lyrics could be so much better. I wonder who even liked the storyline to produce it and infact why would someone release such an underwhelming film which has so many weak points. Quite disappointing indeed. Utter waste of time 😌

Tere Bin (2022–2023)

Too much potential but poor storyline

This drama could the one of the best pak series ever but the writer deteriorated the story in the end episodes. Some of the scenes were super romantic and heart fluttering. The chemistry was beautiful ( mainly because of Wahaj's acting ) . It seemed like so much inspiration is taken from Turkish dramas ( the romantic scenes and soundtrack).

Wahaj carried the whole show : perfect acting , solid dialogue delivery, exceptional expression and damn good visuals ( moustache and beard suit him the best, the outfits were classy ) . The way her takes stand for his wife is absolutely amazing.

Yumna's acting could be better and her makeup could be so much better ( though her outfits were usually decent). Her character Meerab is literally so stupid, so irritating and always making the wrong choices. She was supposed to be intelligent and smart but she is complete opposite. This girl ruined everything, she could have a perfect life with Murtasim who loves her so much.

That weird scene which lead to Meerab leaving home doesn't make sense. The writer tried to make a HUMSAFAR spin off in the end which was absolutely unnecessary and made the storyline even worse. Reunited with Murtasim after few years of having daughter ( of which he is unaware). Completely ridiculous work by the writer. This drama could be so much better. The ending few minutes were such a treat after all the rubbish. I hope the writer does a good job for season 2 , otherwise don't make season 2. If the story stayed on track , it would be as great as Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, though this drama got the hype and millions of views on YouTube, it wasn't that deserving over all.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023)

Big budget but poor movie

Watching this disgusting movie was a total time waste. The outfits are horrendous ( weird colour combinations ). The awkward dialogues ( made no sense) were so cringe. I thought Ranveer and Alia would be good in acting but they did such a horrible job ( seemed like they are in a low budget college role play ). It seemed more like a shampoo advertisement ( long silky hair flowing shot in different angles ). The new concepts of patriarchy, love, confidence, feminist, etc were forcefully added everywhere ( in some instances seemed they seemed illogical too ). It wasn't even funny, barely laughed in 2 scenes throughout the whole movie. If I would have watched it in cinema, I would have left before finishing it. And romance of the grandfather of Rocky( whose wife is alive) and grandmother of Rani was literally not at all good , like man is kissing another lady infront of his alive wife ( ridiculous extra marital affair) . The culture differences between Bengali and Punjabi was shown, but poorly executed. Though Alia looked pretty as a bride. The set was super expensive but storyline and acting were extremely poor. I don't watch Bollywood movies because they are usually disappointing, and this one was certainly one of the worst movies.

Moving (2023– )

supernatural, thriller, romance, gore

I loved how they are connecting different stories together. New characters are introduced which makes it interesting. There is good dose of action and gore. Budget is super high , brilliant CGI. Once you get interested, it is brilliant binge watch. Cast is perfect. Actors have given solid 10/10 performance.

The starting episodes focus on the teens with super powers ( boy can float in air and girl doesn't get hurt ) and their budding friendship cum romance . It is sweet and adorable to watch. Their school is basically for such children only (even class president is super strong : can break tree with a fist bump) .Their parents also have super powers.

An agent is assigned to kill some people with special powers. They show story of man who can control electricity which is interesting.

After few episodes the boy's parents past life is shown ( how they met , their missions ) which was cool, thrilling, with pinch of pure love. His father can float and mother has extraordinary senses ( can hear even heartbeat, see very far away, smell all ingredients) .

His father's work partner doesn't get hurt. His story is shown. He fights many gangs , lot of gore scenes ( knife in back, gall bladder, etc) , he falls for a coffee delivery girl ( the romance is less but so sweet and satisfying).

Miracle in Cell No. 7 (2019)

Beautiful 😭😭😭

I didn't expect this movie to make me cry like hell. This movie is so beautifully executed. The actors have done a marvelous job. The cinematography is amazing. The storyline is so sweet, it shows injustice done by rich ( a specially abled man didn't kill the daughter of a rich man but still he was framed guilty ) . The climax was so good. This movie is literally soul touching ( so good). I watched it on Netflix with subtitles. I think it is a must watch movie ( the emotions , dialogues, acting, storyline: everything is solid 10/10) .The cell mates are also genuinely kind and good men. The sweet bond between father and daughter is very well shown.

Golden Boy (2022– )

Addictive! Realistic flawed characters

Is this drama toxic ? Yes. Is it binge watch worthy ? Yes. Acting : good (SeyFer was so smooth, effortless and seemed real) . Story twists : good. Visuals : great. Soundtrack : amazing . Cinematography: brilliant ( especially when the scene becomes black- grey whenever Ferit is sad/ broken) . Basically all characters have flaws ( cheating on wife, beating wife or daughters, being diplomatic, selfish, egoistic, etc) but I liked how practical these characters were ( we are not perfect, so even fictional characters shouldn't be perfect) . Seyran and Ferit gradually love each other, they fight a lot, tease each other, cry and laugh. I loved all dialogues and emotions depicted by actors , they were so meaningful and gave greater insight of each person's perspective. Sometimes you sympathise with Ferit, sometimes hate him. He is definitely charming, you will love him . Though his character switches often. Seyran (very beautiful ) is both mature , brave , confident and sometimes stupid, weak and confused. To be honest, the psychology of different people was shown nicely ( how crafty Ifacat and Pelin's mother were, etc). The Instagram edits of SeyFer are great. The ending was traumatizing ( really made me cry ). I am waiting for season 2 desperately. I hope they give English subtitles on official YouTube channel 🙏

Kan Çiçekleri (2022– )

For me it is 3rd best Turkish drama

Damn. I read other review and was shocked dt some of you actually don't like the drama or the main leads. This is a Wattpad vibes drama. I started watching this drama because of some Instagram edits and i absolutely love this drama. Within a week, i am on episode 126. It is a great binge watch and keeps me exciting. The male lead BARAN KARABEY is so handsome and good, his acting is also great, his eyes are the best part ( there are many close up scenes where his eyes are the main focus). His character is also decent (not perfect, which is perfectly fine because he is human afterall ) , he is the head of family whose mother was killed and he has to revenge the ones who killed her but doesn't wish to shed blood . So to end this blood feud , he marries one of his daughters instead. Dilan is so pretty and beautiful, she is so cute and just like a Barbie. Her character is shown as helpless and it's justified, nothing is in her hands, she is married because of some blood feud and the family tortures her a lot ( except Baran, but he also often pushes her and tells her what to do angrily).. gradually both of them develop feelings for each other. There is a lot of slow burn romance and they don't express their real feelings (which is sometimes frustating, i am like Guyyyyssss just confesssss urrr loveeeee !!!!! The side character stories are not dt interesting for me either, because u can predict their storyline easy line. The sound track is good. Dialogues are good. My favourite scenes were = when Dilan says " I will kill you if you hurt my family" and Baran hands over his gun to her aiming at him; when they dance (in imagination) on the beach (that scene was perfect and the song was soul touching) ; when Baran was jealous of the teacher and accused Dilan and she slapped him but he didn't get angry because of that slap ( that was really good to see his ego was not hurt because of that slap ) ....... I am in love with Baran so much , he is perfect.
