Sam Bahadur (2023)
High Quality Ingredients but Alas Dish turned out terrible
I was eagerly waiting for this movie. I am an admirer of Meghna Gulzar's direction and Vicky Kaushal's acting. The movie had both of them. For me it was a perfect combination and a sure win.
Well, my expectations were smashed from starting of the movie, specifically the moment Vicky Kaushal appeared. Vicky's acting was nowhere, he was trying to talk and walk like Sam, thats it. For me the whole movie is a mimicry and actually a pathetic mimicry.
Sam Manekshaw had a charismatic character (have a look into the available online videos of the old fella !), it was all natural about him. Vicky totally lacked that charisma and for me that was basically the nail in the coffin.
Supporting actors were pathetic, specially, Indira Gandhi, she was terrible, She had a long screen time and the performance was sub standard, again have a look into the online videos of the real person and compare.
Overall, Megha has miserably failed to deliver. I could not have imagined, she could have gone this wrong. I think the casting was not right. I very much like and admire Vicky, but I firmly believe, he is not fit for this character. Basically Sam Manekshaw had a high society pedigree and was born with a golden spoon in his mouth during the British period, which Vicky probably have very little idea about.
I am very upset with the film, but again its my personal feedback. I basically liked nothing about this movie. Could be only few scenes which was comparatively better.
Animal (2023)
Nauseating
Well, don't know what to write. Was not able to watch the movie.
I am just wondering, if we should learn about the taste of the audience from the ratings here. How on earth an uncivilised, uncultured, nauseating movie can get 10 / 10 rating.
My head hangs in shame when a movie like Animal is a hit.
Have a suggestion to the audience who liked this movie, instead of imagining yourself as the Ranbir / Bobby imagine someone else as Ranbir / Bobby. This should give some perspective.
Have a question for the director, what are you making ? Do you call it a form of art / creation ? I am wondering what type of sick people can direct, act in these types of movies.
Before these actors, directors starts making the next movie, get yourself checked for mental illnesses because if untreated, can be harmful to society.
12th Fail (2023)
Ray of light in dark times of Bollywood
This is a movie which you watch with family, discuss in civilised gatherings and get inspired. There are hardly any Bollywood movie which you can sit and watch with your family. This movie is like a ray of light.
All the uncivilised and uncultured producers, directors and actors can learn from this clean movie.
For so called, pathetic psudo intellectuals who disguise violence and things (that you cant write here) in the name of reality, should also get a taste on how to make a movie.
Coming back to the 12th Fail movie, this has perfect balance of no-nonsense acting and direction. Reality is India has dream, hope and determination even if they dont have money.
Thank you for making a good movie.
MH370: The Plane That Disappeared (2023)
8 mile long oil spillage
This is the first documentary I have seen where no person with high credentials are involved. This tragedy involved Aviation and none of highly respected aviation professionals were part of this documentary.
What we are offered are 2 American lunatics (one stupid fellow calling himself as adventurer and other one blogger) with God knows whats their aviation credentials running the show. And then there was the French journalist and her secret sources.
However, one thing is confirmed, we might never kniw the truth.
I would have loved the documentary to have technically detailed answers, for example the below:
8 mile long Oil spillage (if I remember it correctly) in middle of the sea, same day at the same place where the plane disappeared...... testing of the oil confirmed it was from ships.... interesting coincidence.
Runway 34 (2022)
Guthka-Man take on Danzel Washington and Tom Hanks
I salute the courage of the acting challenged actor director. He has taken the job to replicate both Danzel and Tom Hanks. Unbelievable !!!!
I again plead to you with folded hands, please leave the OTT for the talented and creative artists. You Bollywood kids and relatives, please show your talents in big screen and television.
Koffee with Karan (2004)
For havens sake, please leave the OTT for talented and creative artists
This show should be telecast only to the filthy rich, uneducated and intellectually challenged Bollywood families and their kids. These guys will enjoy the show, because they have similar taste like the host.
I humbly request you and your rich uneducated Bollywood friends to spare the OTT. Let there be space for genuine creativity and talent.
Feludar Goyendagiri (2022)
Pathetic Direction and acting
It's impossible to express the disappointment this series has been. I personally feel Srijit is one of most hyped director. He has no sense of creativity or direction.
For the role of Feluda, I don't know what Tota was doing, probably shooting cigarette adds. Anirban as Jatayu is again terrible, you cannot re-create Santosh Dutta just by looking like him. On hearing the News of murder, Jatayu is smiling with excitement (Satyajit Ray should be breaking his head).
Everything is terrible in the series. Only up to the mark is the starting theme with nice sketches and music.
Bottom line just pathetically terrible.
