Star Trek: Picard: The Last Generation (2023)
One of the most Engaging episodes in Trek
This episode brought to a head so many years, episodes, and series of Star Trek lore. It does justice for the crew of the Enterprise and the ship itself that has so much history. Someone who has spent a lot of time with these characters, like myself, will have their hair raised for much of the episode. It also makes a place for a future Legacy. The Borg have been a huge enemy for this crew for a long time, and there is some closure in this episode. The evolution of Data is a.done correctly here as his character is blended, but not lost with other iterations of Soong's creation. I'm not sure there is another Trek episode with a higher user rating. It has the effect of a grand finish to a story, feeling like a movie in delivery. I feel like they purposely may have went light on the first two seasons so they could go all out here. Picard is frail in S1 and 2. Now he is in his chair, firmly commanding in his old, powerful voice, "Engage!"
Star Trek: Picard: Surrender (2023)
Continue Trek in this Spirit
What we are witnessing is a great justice for what I consider to be the prime Trek cast. If this show wraps up with the same quality in story and production that is being shown here, I think a lot of fans will feel content. Now if they could've made this a three season arc, that would have been ideal. Nonetheless, this episode and all of the others of this season have been highly enjoyable. I'm assuming this will be one of the highest rated seasons in Trek history when looking at the episode ratings (already 3 ep. Over 9 rating, and 5 ep. Over 8 rating. Even though it's not episodic by nature, I hope the studios can sift through and see the elements of production, writing and story that make this Prime Trek.

Devil in the fields
Who doesn't enjoy a good satanic cult story. I hope I didn't say too much. No, I didn't. You're going to enjoy this, probably. I'm a big fan of the miniseries for stories of this scope. Just the right amount of time to get into some detail, goat worshipping, hedonism and solid character development without laying out the architectural plans for a small city. Can't argue with it. The acting is decent and production values not bad considering what is allowed. It is Netflix. Now they should just continue Archive 81. Even with a simmered budget that show could go big places given a second season. Still scares the willies out of me when I'm clogged up, much like this one. Cheers.

A 7, For my inner 10 year old
I found it mostly predictable and cheesy (especially the adversary). That said, if this was '97 and I was ten, I would have been inspired, haha. Maybe that was the target audience. Hard to tell that alone from the trailer. Stallone was a god to me back then, being the quintessential action star along with Schwarzenegger. But it was watchable now anyhow. I guessed the twist mid way through, but it still hit when it was finally revealed anyhow. So a 7 for little me. Anyway, try to enjoy it or watch with your double digit child. This review needs to be 600 characters so now I'm droning on. Sylvester is still kicking ass as an old fellow. Cheers.
Dota: Dragon's Blood: The Wind Under the Door (2022)
Great Plotting, Wicked Action
You can just tell the writers are so involved. There is great intricacy to the story. Love it. Sometimes have to read a recap to grasp some of the plot. Episode two of this season has killer action and animation. Jaw dropped and said "woah" more than once. Hah. One of the few shows Netflix is doing correct lately. Cheers.
The Sandman (2022)
Perfect show for me
This show just fulfills a lot of hopes I have for a fantasy tv show. The delivery is correct- it doesn't feel cheesy. Acting is done well too. Includes summoning of eternal beings almost like goetic, key of Solomon style. I've always loved Gaiman and I'm glad he was close to the production. Only two episodes in, but I'm sold and looking forward to the next session with my girlfriend tomorrow night. Cheers.
The Orville: Twice in a Lifetime (2022)
Solid Episode
This season has picked up steam. Enjoying Strange New Worlds play to make episodic installments like old school, but this show continues to scratch an itch that Trek doesn't hit as often. Macfarlane has done great writing and some directing this episode. Hope there will be a little send off for Norm Macdonald possibly. And really hoping for as many more seasons as they can squeeze out. Longer format on Hulu also suits this well with fleshed out episodes such as this.
Spriggan (2022)
Off to a pretty good start
Never saw the original movie. I'm enjoying the plot with the ancient civilization tech narrative. Voice acting and sound design are well produced. Action sequences are exciting. I'll continue watching and hope for a second season.
