If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck...

In this era of extreme bias in journalistic reporting, the BLM mess forced me to see pass the thin veneer of truth. There was always something wrong inside my mind with George Floyd, which furthered peoples anger at the way he has been canonized and used as a pawn in the dirty culture war.

Regardless where you sit, we need more of these documentaries made thus to offer another viewpoint regardless, as the traditional media and those with access to them, cannot be trusted with the truth no more.

Leave your biases behind and allow your self to be open minded. If you feel challenged by this doco at the end, then seek out more truths. But sitting in a dark room and just allowing yourself to be conditioned by your cognitive dissonance is what landed us in this mess.

Well done to Candence, its made me think deeper about BLM and what they really stand for.

Very good doco with a wholesome but sad reveal at the end and shows Larry Clarke and Harmony Korine for who they really were..
16 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Good documentary and yes a lot of it paints Larry Clarke and his sidekick, Harmony Korine, in a bad light, but one can't help to think they deserve it after they exploited the main cast.

Larry Clark has always come across as creepy, even though as a photographer I can see why he hang out with his subjects to study every little thing they were doing at the time.

But once he got what he wanted, he bailed and so did Korine. To then show up the way they did at the film festivals sans the leading actors was too obvious of what they had done. But then again listening to Larry at the press conference not being able to even articulate the reasons why he made such a raw movie sums up Larry Clarke.

I think the end reveal was nice. I have to wonder why Justins mother kept who his father was for a long time. Things would have certainly been different if she allowed Justin to know who his real dad was. I guess distance played a huge role as well.

As for the reviewer asking where were the two other girls? Well we know now Chloe was Korines gf and we all know what Korine made Chloe do in front of the camera a decade after this was shot. So it just could be Chloe wanted nothing to do with appearing in this doco because of the trauma she might still being going through after what Korine made her do.

Is it a stand up routine or someones therapy session?
9 July 2022
I am confused, am i watching stand up comedy OR am i being a fly on the wall during someones intense therapy session?

I asked fans of Gadsby why they think this comedy is brilliant and not one single person could give me a concise or simple answer. Most used hyperbolic language describing her brilliance.

This is not a comedy, rather a fly on the wall experience about someone having a therapy session due to massive trauma.

And it should be categorized as such.

Dumb, but look at him we know it already

Absolute rubbish, the two reviews giving this dross a 10 and 8 are clearly this dude himself.

I just cant get past the "well known international face" that no one outside his country, has seen.

Vapid, dumb and narcissistic, this doco fits in well with the insta generation.

I am forced to give it 1 ho hum.
