Dollhouse (2009)
Not As Far Fetched As You Think
It used to be that once in awhile we'd see a film that tried to tell us something about what was going on deep in our government. This is one of those stories. Not unlike Nikita, Dollhouse has roots in a project that was started many years ago but now with technology is close to reality if not already. Watching from BluRay on a Samsung back-lit TV is amazing. The set of the Dollhouse is exquisite. The actual story was hard to follow watching it week to week on TV but when watching several episodes at a time from BluRay you really 'get' the story told, not just the premise. Eliza Dushku is perfect for the role of Echo playing a strong, sometimes vulnerable Active which is what they call dolls when on a mission. Joss Whedon chooses really great actors who have staying presence as seen by those who routinely get cast in his stories.
Avalon High (2010)
Great For All Ages
I am always looking for stories that my two Nieces would like as well as other younger family members. But I found this particular story great for an adult too! This was very well put together. Thankfully I had not read the synopsis here before watching or it would have been ruined for me. This played out like a good book in many ways.
Also I think Brit Robertson is an exceptional actress and improves nearly any story she is in.
Nothing else to say here 'cept if you have not seen it yet do, but do NOT read the Synopsis here by xcharliegirlx or it may ruin an otherwise excellent production for you.
