9-1-1: Boston (2022)
Phenomenal acting!
Give Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kenneth Choi an Emmy! This was such an emotional episode that had absolutely phenomenal character development. The storyline was respectfully portrayed. This is easily one of my top ten all time favorite 9-1-1 episodes.
9-1-1: Outside Looking In (2022)
Great acting, terrible writing
The cast, as usual, blew it out of the park. The new actors are cool and I'm excited to see their future performances. That being said, the writing for this episode was abysmal and contained many questionable directing decisions.
Buck, who has always been characterized as loyal to a fault, was wildly out of character. Previously, Buck stuck with Abby even after she left and advised Eddie to break up with Ana because it's not fair to string her along. Now suddenly the writers expect us to believe that this is a character who would cheat and lie about it? What a cheap and unimaginative gimmick. If this cheating plot line is the beginning of a new love interest for Buck, then I will not be watching 911 anymore. Cheating is absolutely disgusting and should never be the basis for a romance.
To add insult to injury, the writers also ruined Hen's development by having her advise Buck to lie to Taylor. The writers clearly no longer care about their own characters.
This new arc is just season 3 in a much uglier skin. I miss when the show was original and true to its message. Hopefully some changes are made.
The only good parts of this episode were the action scenes and Christopher's scenes.
