Terzi (2023)
SKIP, before your last brain cells die
The series started off fine, but within the first 2 episodes, a story of such complexity and plot holes developed, even the Riemann Problem would be a breeze to solve.
Forget a senseless story and a cliffhanger to leave the audience crave for more. In the end, I felt confused that basically no story arc was resolved at all but rather all sticky story ends were just juggled together to create a brick of what the heck. I also felt angry that I had to fast forward about 50% of the series in order to save my last brain cells from harakiri and I felt sorry for all who thought they would watch something a La Halston, but instead were given Twilight.
Yakamoz S-245 (2022)
Cheap spin off
The spin off has way to much drama and the characters just make you mad all the time. There's no character development except rage, revenge and idiotic empty script lines which make you feel like you are just watching hours of people screaming. The first four episodes were so useless you just wasted 4h of your life.
It doesn't even come close to the intriguing stories and character arches of Into the Night. The way you would feel for Rick for example, instead these characters just seem like 2D figures without depth. You could as well skip to the last two episodes and the cringy script to the probably most important part of Arman meeting Ayaz.
3 stars because it gave some backstory of Arman and the hope that it will be the last season. Otherwise not worth the time.
Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi (2022)
2 stars only for shining light into this story
The case is interesting in itself but the way it was depicted and narrated in this series is just blatantly biased and non-coherent.
Not once was the question raised if the police just failed in their job, not once did they ponder, if the corrupted in the police force are linked on how low the crime solving rate is, esp. Amongst victims belonging to a certain diaspora. Instead, unqualified statements about how migrant workers have mental issues and if that might contribute to them becoming murderers and especially furious: the statement of the esteemed forensic scientist lady, who pondered that the murderer must have "inherited some genes from his parents making him prone to being a murderer". This is a sentence totally taken out of context and perpetualising the idea in some crime series, that there is in fact, something like a "murderer / serial killer gene". They are probably talking about the MAOA gene which MIGHT have something to do with aggression - but is also linked to cancer, Alzheimer, ADHD and several other diseases.
Interceptor (2022)
How to watch 139 min in 20 min
I would write SPOILERS AHEAD, but there isn't really much to spoil. The storyline has no depth, makes no sense at all, is far beyond common sense and realistic facts - despite the Possible argument of artistic interpretation (i.e. A simple google search will tell you the US has 44 interceptors). Then the acting was comparable to my high school plays. As a matter of fact, I think we did a better job back then.
Still think it's supposed to be a comedy or satire. There's no other explanation to this waste of time.
Also, I had to fast forward the movie to a total of 20 mins running time. Otherwise there was a monumental risk of contracting blindness *sarcasm off*

Generally nice idea, but bad scripting and science
I felt like this was a bad rip-off of Bones and it definitely doesnt deserve the rating it has as of now (8/10).
- the scripting feels weird and unrealistic, compared to many other Korean crime series. It's not bad acting, actually I felt most actors really represent their characters well. But some scenes just has overdone it with their drama - to the point where it's utterly senseless
- character (d)evolvement: usually, most characters have their own stories incorporated into the whole thing and develop with it. Here, some character stories just dabble around one or two main plots and backstories dont dive deep enough to explain connections
- but most of all, what drove me near mad, was the really bad science-ing. It was like the producers didn't have enough money left to hire a consultant on those matters. Just to name a few enraging scenes: useless medical masks not even covering the nose when dealing with fine particulates; non-laboratory staff just waltzing in the forensic room and contaminating everything around them; the blurring of some scenes ?! Like what's the point in blurring someone holding a knife ffs
EDIT: I lowered my rating further after watching season 2. Again, the science is just bad but the way they represent people with schizophrenia as crazy violent individuals is just wrong - literally. This depiction of all schizophrenic people being violent just fuels stigma and misconception. While a small percentage do experience anger issues, not all do and it's also not a symptom of schizophrenia.
On the other hand, the comedy part of this series is nicely developed. I chuckled a few times and on par with Korean Drama tradition, it captures emotions really well.
Tl;dr show runners need to invest more time and thought into the subject at hand - forensic sciences, because it's just really bad. Some nice slapstick comedy moments tho.
