How I Met Your Mother: Something Old (2013) Season 8, Episode 23

Strange, logical flaws and foreshadowing

This episode has a few flaws, but I like it, generally.

In season one, Robin and Ted didn't work out because Ted wanted marriage and Robin didn't, so it's weird that in this episode, it shows that she always wanted to get married since she was a kid. So if this was her original childhood intent, why didn't Ted and Robin work out? I mean, i understand why, they had other issues, but still.

Also Teds line about how he shouldn't focus on the past because it's already gone, is heavy foreshadowing to the ending of the show, which is the death of the mother, Tracy. It's sad, weird and somewhat out of place for the penultimate episode of the penultimate season, but I can't put it past it, since it is all the way entertaining and somewhat great.

Amphibia (2019–2022)

Super awesom-azing!

This is an awesome cartoon that's more than for kids! Disney+ just added the third season so I rewatched it all 😁... it's funny, the characters actually have arcs and personalities and the entirety is masterfully voiced!!! Brenda song (who is in the suit life of zach and cody) voices Anne (the main character) who is also the first Thai animated protagonist!

The Turning (2020)

This movie is a sad excuse for a horror movie. There are a few jump-scares and there are some horror elements but overall it's so boring and the ending is really dumb and doesn't make sense.

Scrubs (2001–2010)

Hilarious funny comedy! (Skip the last season!)

Okay, so this show is incredible! It's funny, there are solid relationships, it's long, but the last season retcons the whole series and makes the previous season (which was supposed to be a finale and was super dramatic and epic) meaningless, so ignore it! It's on Disney+. Watch it!

People in the reviews: THIS IS A KIDS MOVIE

This is a children's movie, but everyone in the reviews are complaining that it's not realistic and a bunch of other dribble, which are sort of valid, it's just that it's a dumb kids movie and their acting like it's something to be taken seriously. Aside from that, it's a cute kids movie about magic dogs. It's actually pretty good for a kids movie anyways.

Rio (2011)

I have so much nostalgia for this movie, but that's not the only reason I love it now, also because it's great. The world isn't just some cookie-cutter boring world, and the human characters, (while not super prominent) are still fun and exiting and fleshed out. The bird itself (blue, who when I was a kid always thought was named rio) is funny and nice. Do recommend.

Fireheart (2022)

The entire idea's kinda dumb

So the basic idea of this film is that it's another feminist tail (which I always admire and enjoy most of the time) but the "guy-ish" thing that "no girl is strong enough to handle" that she has to overcome/her big "frowned upon for girls to practice" passion is firefighting. Generally okay plot, but get this: half, if not, more that half of firefighters are women so it kinda renders the entire gimmick a bit useless and looks like a cash grab by antelier animation (by the way who the heck has even heard of these guys?) They might be a new studio which I definitely think they are (but I don't wanna look it up, I'm lazyyyyyy), so of course their first animated film, so I give them some slack. It's pretty good in other stuff though. Has charm, relatively funny for kids and nice animation. So I half recommend. Mostly if your a kid.
