Rise of Empires: Ottoman (2020)
Amazing show from another side for once
I love history, and for once hollywood kept it historical and didn't try to add in their own bits to appease any sides.
The show is worth your time, it's rare that we get a show from a view point on the other side like this and it's really really well done. Excellent show, It does scenes from both the view of the Ottoman empire and the Byzantium empire so you actually get a feel for what the defenders are going through and thinking and what the attackers are thinking and going through struggles of their own.
I hope they make more shows like this.
Blackstone (2009)
Enjoyable watch
Sad they took it off netflix, it's a pretty solid show and there's not many that delve into the life of living on a native reserve.
I'm pretty sure their official website allows you to watch it for free. So give it a watch, it's worth the time.
Vikings: Valhalla (2022)
There's two kinds of reviews on this show
1- You have people giving this 1 star because it's a historical show based on history that isn't being historically accurate and adding in things just for the sake of diversity.
2- You have people battling the 1 stars who are just giving it 10 stars for the sake of balancing out the 1 stars and most likely haven't even watched the show as half the 10 star reviews were posted within 1 hour of the show airing.
So.... do you like historically accurate shows who remain true to our history and don't change blatant things to appease %s? If so this isn't for you probably.
Do you like historical shows that are loosely historical and not very accurate and change things to appease a % and you just want to watch some viking battle scenes? Then you can probably enjoy the show.
