Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024– )

Too long
4 February 2024
First if all. I never saw the original series. I did see the movie, and I liked it, so I had high hopes for this remake. Decent actors, and a good plot. A lot of hype... Episode one was promising. Two, kept the promise alive. But after that it was mainly down hill. For me it lacked a proper sense of humour. It lacked action. The little action scenes that do come up, are shot in a way that doesn't quite meassure up to 2024 standards. So if you are looking for a fun and action packed series, like I hoped for, this doesn't quite deliver. Way too much boring conversations with little or no significance to the plot. Maybe it would have worked if it was two-three episodes shorter.

However, if you do look for a more serious show, with a lot of personnal interaction, slow conversation on basically the same topic (will you love me/I dont think you do...?) and in general, a series to watch as a couple, I guess it hits the spot ok? I would be careful to put it into a «gender-box», and I'm sure it is a show for everyone and no-one, and I guess that's a strenght in itself?

To sum it up; another mini series that runs way too long, but high quality acting, and several good parts. Very forgettable, but quite ok to watch with your partner.

Just stupid

Liz Hurley just had a baby in this movie... Never do anybody mention that she is close to 60! And she certainly looks it, even if they try hard to make her look younger.

If you like Billie Ray Cyrus, you might enjoy 7% of the film, otherwise, stay clear of it! The script is thin an unbeliveable, the acting is poor, the plot doesn't exist, so giving it two stars is based on a few glimps of decent Kelsey Grammer acting.

When Billie Ray is playing and singing, he is backed by bands and choirs, even when he is alone. He doesn't move his hand, and still plays the guitar.

The movie does talk about illness, serious enough, but I can see a thousand ways to do it better!

Hijack (2023)

Boreing

Good acting from Elba, fairly interesting plot. And hijackings tend to be exciting to watch in movies... But to drag this out to seven episodes! Each close to one hour long... Thats just wrong! Three would have been good, but even better would be «just» a movie!

All in all its watchable, but it gets annoyingly boring avout half way through.

Maybe some stronger characters would have helped. Passangers on the plane behaves silly, the people on the ground trying to fix things comes off as either close to falling asleep, or they appear more like «bad guys» than good.

I would have needed to see far more intrigues and the plot should have had much more and sharper (more clever) twists and turns.

Disapponting.
