A Dangerous Prey (2024)
Good watch
Good watch with a delightful amount of stand out characters. As it turns out Keisha, has a growing amount of new challenges which she must learn to accept, fight head on or maneuver through. They explored race issues, family issues as well as life changing situations. Keisha's character growth and story kept me interested and wanting to see how everything plays out. Her partner has his own challenges which ads even more depth to the story. The audio could have been a tad bit more refined but didn't take from the overall experience due to the clever story telling. They did a fantastic job on the raw dialogue and conversations which made this film grab me and keep me intrigued. Solid indie film.
Scooter LaForge: A Life of Art (2023)
Awesome Documentary
I really appreciate this documentary and its portrayal of San Francisco culture. The dialogue was moving and easy to understand because of the high quality audio. Something some indie films lack. It was rich with artwork and a peek into a lifestyle that most don't get to see. Highly recommended. Having grown up in the Bay Area and being a graduate from and art school in San Francisco, I was really excited to see the many paintings and works of art as well as locations. This documentary was professionally put together from lighting, camera angles, sound and subject matter. Thumbs up and I definitely recommend a watch!
Token Taverns (2023)
Great film
Barcades due to the sale of alcohol while you play. The nostalgia of the 80's games and sounds and classic pinball machines brought me right back to my childhood. Great doc that showed how friends and community can spend time together doing something safe and fun. At times events were added to increase crowds such as arcade challenges and even backyard wrestling. This documentary also explored the pandemic and the steps that were taken to survive and eventually strive. This documentary doesn't miss a beat with clear audio, crisp shots and a very complimentary soundtrack. Definitely recommended.
UN-RESOLVED (2022)
Great watch
This indie action film is a must see. With great pacing, superb acting, and beautiful cinematography, it tackles the issues of revenge and where to draw the line. Faced with the question of trying to choose a different path and safer life, or the easy route with fast money, good times but the worry of constantly looking over your shoulder as your life is at steak and today may be your last breath. Some find their breaking points, while others continue the path of an eye for an eye. Essentially it boils down to maturity and family but not without its many twists and turns. I recommend it for an engaging experience.
Introspectum Motel (2021)
Excellent watch
Introspectrum Motel is a great story that takes you on a ride of twists, turns and deception. The actors were amazing and comfortable in their intimate scenes together. Well executed and a recommended watch for those who can appreciate steamy intimacy. The dialogue was clear and the movie kept me engaged from beginning to end. There are always consequences to every action and this movie holds true to that delivering the story through beautiful visuals, good dialogue and well paced scenes. Some of the outside scenes were shot the best. Without spoiling anything, the plot twists will deliver a wide range of emotions and energy.
