The Crown (2016)
Best show I saw in 2016
Really really love this show, the production, the acting, the scenes, all 10/10. Looking forwards to seeing more seasons!!! I love Queen, she is the only one in the royal family who lives by the tradition and by the ways the god wants the monarch to behave. This is how the God bless the Queen and the country.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Last 2 seasons need to be remade
I wanted to give this show a 10/10, but the last 2 seasons completely drags this show down. The spiritual aspect of the show, the stories behind the scenes of the gods, are all neglected too much in the last 2 season. I wish for the books to come out, and a remake of the new books.
Unsilenced (2021)
Strong message and great story
This film is based on real story happened in China, and sadly the same stories are still happening everyday in many corners in China, people just don't know, don't see anymore.
I love the very last scene, when Wang is walking to the door of the prison, we don't know where he is walking to, death or hope? Until the real man shows up his face on the camera, we all relived for a moment. But this is not all. This is not the end.
We need more people to see this film, to know what is happening in China, and to know what is happening in your own country. We need to support these people, who are fighting for what they believe in and are being silenced. Supporting them is supporting ourselves.
Lao pao er (2015)
Surprisingly better than expectation
Pretty nice to watch, it mixes both the seriousness and the hardship of a local beijing person's life. The message is strong, the director skills are not bad.
Wo de fu qin mu qin (1999)
Beautiful film with full emotions
I love the love story in this film, pure, real, beautiful. I cried a lot. The scene of Ziyi running wearing the red jacket was such a strong memory in my mind when I think about any love movie scenes, it is pure romance.
Gui lai (2014)
Feel it's missing something that touches my heart
I like the story, the performance, and entire background of the dark time of China when lots of people suffered their lives, lost their loved ones, turned on each other to survive. But I think it's kind of much less harsh compared to Zhang's early films.
