Jurassic Prey (2015)
Underrated
Why is the rating so low? Seriously, why the bad reviews!? To be honest I found it pretty cool, I really don't understand why people don't like it. No, wait, I think I know, it's because they are too used to CGI and are not able to appreciate a some old school effects, Seriously, did these guys watch Aztec Rex to know what a bad dinosaur really looks like? This kind of movie is pretty unusual nowadays, in a time that most of the movies use CGI, no matter how bad they are, I really miss old fashioned productions with old school effects, I just wanted one single dinosaur movie that doesn't feature CGI(or at least combines it to Practical effects, like Jurassic Park)
Bicheongoesu (1985)
How not to make a monster movie
There is something every filmmaker must learn before making a Kaiju film, and is: MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN MONSTER FOOTAGE!!!!! Seriously, why the hell did they use footage from Ultraman?!?!?!?! And no, don't dare you saying "They had no budget to do it", because I saw people using Lizards, LIZARDS, and make that work, look at One Million Years BC, they made their own creature footage with real animals, and that worked, the same can be said to Journey to the Centre of the Earth(1959) and The Lost World from the 60s, there is no excuse to don't make your own monster footage, this movie is crap, but there could still be a hope for this movie, somebody could take this movie and make a new cut without Ultraman Footage, that would make it much better.
Cruel Jaws (1995)
Would be good... IF THE SHARK FOOTAGE WAS ORIGINAL AND NOT FROM OTHER MOVIES!!!!!!
Seriously, why the hell didn't they make their own shark effects?!?! It can't be so difficult, even I can do it better!!!! This is so lazy and... man, I'm out of words.
Black Beauty (2020)
The original Beauty: Was this mare supoosed to be me?
I mean, where the hell making Beauty a mare benefits the story?! And also, why did Ashley Avis made it just another Horse Girl Story?!?! On the other hand, at least it still has some elements from the original, and the best: the horse is the main character, like the book. Another thing I can notice is the fact Beauty is there is no animal dialogue in this movie. Also, the first part with the herd being caught was not the best, they could have made something cooler, like in Spirit, and why did she come back to Birtwick in the end? I know, that's what most of the fans would want in the original story, but here she was supposed to go back to the wild. And also, why is Beauty the only one who changed the gender? Why is Merrylegs still male and Ginger still female?
Sharkenstein (2016)
Not a bad idea
I'll not lie, the idea of combining Frankenstein to a Killer animal doesn't sound bad, and a Shark is a nice animal to start. BUT, the idea was not very well used here. The Shark props doesn't look that bad, but are not good enough, maybe if there was a bigger budget they could have built a life sized Sharkenstein, that according to other shark movies I watched would have been pretty better.
Tyrannosaurus Azteca (2007)
Filmmaking lesson: if you have no money for good CGI, try using Pracrical effects
So, the concept of natives of latin america venerating a T rex like a God is pretty interesting, but this movie didn't execute it the right way. The biggest problem: the CGI effects. I know CGI was a great revolution for movies when it was used in Spielberg's Masterpiece Jurassic Park, but if it's not used the right way, it could ruin the movie, like what happened in this one.
One of my tips is: if you have no money to a good CGI like Jurassic Park, try to make it the old way, you could try to use Stop Motion, like King Kong's first film, or a man in a dinosaur costume, like Godzilla.
But back to the movie, the script is not that bad, the acting is great, the main problem is the CGI.
King Kong - FAN FILM (2016)
A pretty cool take on a classic.
Ok, I know the effects could have been better, but that's still pretty damn cool considering all they had. And also, there are worse movies, like APE and Banglar King Kong, I hope Jack make more movies in the future.
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002)
My favorite movie of all time
I'm not lying, I grew up with this movie, I always asked my Grandma and my aunt to go to the movies rental company and we always got this movie. And still nowadays, now that I'm grown up this movie is still amazing, maybe that's because of my love and admiration for horses, but I love it.
The animation is so damn amazing, the characters are so cool, the main character doesn't even talk when he's not narrating! Also the musics are very nice, I don't stop singing them, 10/10, my favorite horse movie of all time and my favorite movie of all time.
