Hidden Colors (2011)
Hidden Colors was a MUST SEE for all people, Globally
This was an excellent film done by Tariq Nasheed Productions. With it, you get a really in-depth and vast overview of what peoples of Africa's contribution to the entire planet, which in large part today remains "Hidden." In this 2-hour documentary, we visit the Black/Moor history through the scope of these people's descendants - THEMSELVES. Being that this film was 100% financially backed by a contingent of "Male Blacks of Westernized cultures", we get to experience a rare perspective, sans any typical American/White-Superiority-complex "misinformation." The film is shot in High-Definition and the DVD looks great on your HDTV. The editing is very clean and precise, and the score throughout the entirety of the movie did not intrude upon the speaker's crisp audio. This is a movie you must buy, see, recommend, hold viewing-parties for, and just overall acknowledge that this film will change the way that "misinformation" is tolerated by society going forward.
Killa Season (2006)
Great street flic.....trust my judgement, if u're open minded or not part of 'mainstream' Americans.
Killa did a hell of a job with this flic. The plot was on point, and you've got to love this kid's swag. It's basically about Cam trying to get his money up by selling weed at first, but his connect, Gordo, gets him to push that white. Typical, right? SCCCHRRREEEECH! A sudden turn of events pop off when Flea's (cam) niece gets popped (shot). Then the film gets grimy! The acting was OK, but don't ask these close-minded Scorsese-addicts. There's more than one way to act....yet you wouldn't be able to tell by these bias responses.......Certainly worth ignoring.
I can't wait for the next flic. The film ends with a cliffhanger, intelligently setting it up for the sequel. NOW.....I now return you to your regularly scheduled 'blind hate.' U MAD? :)
Puff, Puff, Pass (2006)
Excellent pot movie....incredibly well written, and creative characters!
I love this movie, and it gets better each time I watch it. Larry and Rico are 'complex' characters, and it's just the type of refreshing views that's needed in the genre of stoner flicks. My favorite character is Larry's brother, Johnathan, who owns a '77 Trans AM and rents a house boat. His presence gives the film's nonchalant attitude towards the overall environment some balance. D. Hammond was good in this one. Crews is also stellar in his role as a 'blood spilling rapper. Mekhi Phifer simply snapped on this film. I was looking at the ending credits, and there's no credit for the music. I wanted to download that song that that Otis was beating off to, but to no avail....Anyone have a link?
U don't have to be dro'ed up to watch this, but I recommend it. ;P
