My Sister's Keeper (2009)
My Sister's Keeper
I absolutely love this movie.
It would receive a 10/10 had it gone along with the book. In the book, Andromeda 'Anna', is killed in a car crash, and then donates her kidney to sister Kate. Kate survives this. However in the movie, Anna doesn't donate her kidney, and Kate does die. This is why I would give it a 9/10.
Bring tissues. That is the best thing. I cried my eyes out, as did most of the theatre. The saddest parts aren't even the death parts, they are the living parts. When Kate is going to prom, when they go to the beach, those are the most sensitive parts in my mind.
This movie will be especially tragic for those who have suffered a loss of someone. You get an insight into their struggles, and you see the picture from the outside. You were probably the one sitting next to the dying patient telling them if they think good thoughts, they will get better, while their family bites their tongues, knowing this will not be the case.
All in all, this is an extraordinary movie. I would recommend it to all. Children going to this film should have a comprehension of disease, as if they don't they will be asking questions the whole time.
Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show: Episode #5.31 (2007)
The Gosselin's
WOW! That was a great story! I loved the look on Ellen's face when she saw the little kids. Mady and Cara are now seven, and proud of it! The sextuplets (or 'whatever six is', as Ellen said.) are now three and loving every minute of it. I think it is great that the Gosselin's keep coming back and giving the world updates. They are growing up and I think they are all so cute! I admire Kate and Jon so so much for pulling through all of the tough times. They still love each other and make time for each other, even with those little kids running around. It was so nice that everyone got bikes! They are a family to admire and it puts into perspective as to what is important.
House M.D.: Alone (2007)
House MD
Wow! This was such a great episode! I was so excited to finally see House again after the summer. When Wilson kidnapped House's guitar, I couldn't stop laughing! My friends' and I laughed throughout the episode. House is such a funny show! I think House should not get a new team. He needs to hire his old one back. Cuddy was right, they were the perfect team! I think we should see Stacy come back and see more romance with House. House needs more people than a janitor to bounce ideas off of, so another team member couldn't hurt. In the preview, he's interviewing medical students, so I'm excited to see what happens next!
CSI: NY: Snow Day (2007)
Csi NYC
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! New York City heats up, with Danny and Lindsey and Mac and Peyton. When Danny and Adam were held hostage, I almost cried! I had no idea if they would make it out alive. I recorded the episode and have watched it at least 30 times. I thought that they should have made it into a 2 part episode, but it was really good! When Mac and Stella get caught in the middle of the drug raid from their building, it was so suspenseful. I would never have thought of ANY ideas in this episode. Great job to the writers and the cast for the outstanding roles! I will keep watching it, over and over! I hope the fourth season is just as good.
Fillmore! (2002)
Fillmore
I find this show like a G rated version of CSI. It has unrealistic themes, in the way how the vice principal is always bossing the students around and how the 'suspects' are always trying to escape. Often, the safety patrol leads the 'suspects' away in handcuffs , something that could be harassment in real life. I think it's a bad influence for young children and younger audiences. Showing five-year-olds a show where almost every child steal things is not a good impression of real life. Often, the children run through the hallways, knocking other children as they go. It probably scares children into thinking all schools are like that. Schools are not as scary as they make them sound, other then the occasional physco.
