Ted Lasso: Do the Right-est Thing (2021)
Going downhill fast
Loved season 1, season 2 so far is average to poor. Don't you just love when rich jet setters lecture you about the environment? When 13 year old girls play the adults, and tough adult footballers become effeminate children? And apparently all the jets and buses and Lambos use no oil or gas products, and Apple anything is just so amazing and good for the environment. Liberal elite hypocrites at work again. Take a funny show and turn it into a political soapbox, as per usual. Sad.
The Little Things (2021)
Malek can't acct
Everyone can get lucky once in a while, but the fact is, Malek cannot act. His bizarre looks combined with never having the right look on his face makes him unwatchable as an actor. Not even good enough to be on a bad tv movie of the week. Beyond that, the movie was weak, trying to borrow from Seven and The Silence of the Lambs, but failing miserably.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020)
Painfully unfunny
The 10 star reviews will likely be from the whiny, entitiled Democrats of the US and A with an IQ of about the same as a potato and even Canadians like myself know exactly which backwards States they're from. (cough California and New York)
Ozark (2017)
Disturbingly overrated
I see people actually comparing Ozark to Breaking Bad, which must be some sort of sick joke. Everything that was natural and original in Breaking Bad is contrived and derivative in Ozark. Nothing feels organic and natural. And did I actually hear that the actress that plays Ruth won an emmy?? She is horrible, or at most dime a dozen, in a part that anyone could play. But yeah, Ozark just feels like they have a checklist and they try to check as many boxes as they can each episode, including the fake diversity one. Made it through two seasons, the third one is going to be a huge challenge but I'm not the type that likes to bail, but oy this show is weak.
The Big Bang Theory (2007)
Copied Friends till the end
One thing about The Big Bang Theory, it was consistent. It copied Friends storylines right until the very end. It's pretty bad when three years ago I mentioned that the finale of TBBT will include someone going overseas, and that someone will be pregnant. Also. Kaley Cuoco may be the worst actress I have ever seen, because her entire stint on the show was just copying Jennifer Aniston's "Rachel Green". Line delivery, mannerisms, movements, even almost all of the hairstyles, including cutting the hair short, to garner publicity. But anyways, there were a few laughs here and there, but the show was always overrated, and it's farewell was long overdue.
Anne (2017)
Season 1 great, Season 2 garbage
We all loved Season 1. It had its flaws at times, but for the most part it was a fresh and lovable new take on Anne of Green Gables. The acting was terrific, everyone (except the teacher) well cast.
Then Season 2 comes along, and the train goes off the rails, the buggy over a cliff, so to speak. Someone thought "hey, let's ignore the book(s) and history, and shove liberal propoganda down everyone's throats!" Let's introduce a black character that is hard-working and charming and confident, have him talk down to white people, and have him readily accepted by pretty much all, after they do a quick double-take. And let's have a flood of gay characters, or bi-curious characters, or have straight characters readily dress up as women, because that was just SO common at the time! In other words, let's just discard everything that Anne of Green Gables was, and put 2018 liberalism into conservative 1890's.
Season 2 is a fake, fraudulent, steaming pile of liberal doo doo. The left-wing finds it hilarious to take a conservative book and times, and turn it into diversity-filled lie, but that's how they roll.
Thank God You're Here (2007)
Horribly Unfunny
Seemed like a great concept, even if it was borrowed from another country. But a great concept doesn't equal a great show. The improv done here is horribly unfunny and amateurish. Jokes repeatedly fall flat because they just aren't funny on any level. It's just a bunch of actors that were funny on other shows because the humor was written for them. Put them in an improv situation and they are lost. The show was painful to watch, I would avoid future episodes like the plague, unless they can bring in some actual comedians.
Oh and Foley and Grier are doing their best to pretend any of what they are witnessing is the least bit funny, but even they are failing miserably.
