Sidelined (2018)
Made for TV movie
If you like to watch 'lifetime' movies and laugh at how ridiculous they are then this one is a beauty. The lengths this coach goes to to sabotage her own team are hilarious.
For the record, soccer scouts don't just draft strikers. The best players don't always play Center forward. Enjoyed this one anyway.
The Neighbor (2017)
(Very) Slow Burn but enjoyable
I have a penchant for familial dramas with a confined plot. The dialogue was authentic and actors all were believable in their roles. I'm 40 years old and I may not have enjoyed this movie at 25.
Better Call Saul: Breaking Bad (2022)
Another polarizing Episode
One goal of Better Call Saul is to manipulate the audiences expectations and keep us guessing. There are times when it gets a bit ridiculous, for me. But they are still doing a really great job weaving these storylines together.
Is it anywhere close to the intensity of Ozymandias? Absolutely not. But anyone expecting to recapture that feeling was always going to be disappointed. These knee jerk reviews don't always reflect on the episode itself but on the feelings it invokes. If you are going to give this 1 star you should provide some idea of what you would do differently. Because it's a tall order wrapping all of this up.
The Fan (1996)
Way to go Bobbayyyy!
Easily the best bad movie of all time. It's totally insane but De Niro and Snipes make it all seem okay. I can watch this as a serious movie or I can watch it as a comedy and both are acceptable.
Shimmer Lake (2017)
Don't read reviews before watching
I stumbled upon this movie and going in blind made it so much better. Clever, funny and a great cast of that guys.
If you like intricate plots, small town crime or Dwight from the Office...this movie is for you.
Gold (2022)
Was very invested in Gold
Slow Burn. Desert setting. Very Monochromatic. Few characters. Very little dialogue. No comedy and not a ton of action.
But an excellent movie watching experience if you're up for it. I was totally engrossed.
Better Call Saul: Nippy (2022)
You're not smart enough to watch this show
If you don't give this episode a 10/10 you are a blood-thirsty cretinous fool.
If you don't give this a 1/10 you are a shill who will devour any course Vince Gillighan cooks up.
There is no room for middle ground! In 10 years when you are rewatching this episode for the 50th time...then you will realize the GENEius that is Nippy. This was the moment Carol Burnett became Heisenberg.
I Know What You Did Last Summer: Your Next Life Could Be So Much Happier (2021)
Why the high standards?
Anyone who watched the original movies maybe should not have expected too much from this show. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the acting (Brianne Tju especially.)
However, I was not surprised by who the killer was. And I wasn't surprised that they had help from their family. I think that was foreshadowed well. Some people are saying it seems random but I have been watching this person closely for a few weeks now and it does make sense. At least it's not some rando named Ben Wilson right? Wilson...Willson.... Wills son...oh my god Will's Son! He killed us AND foiled us with a riddle!
