Vice (2018)
Two Thumbs Up For Bale & Rockwell
If nothing else, you could/should watch it for the great portrayals - great acting. Regarding a storyline - you'll just have to forgive since Bale (and Rockwell) give great performances. It's a bit all over the place.
Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)
Great Jake Gyllenhaal
If you're a Jake G fan he's nailed this character - good cast, good cinematography - great characters. Always a delight to watch John Malkovich as well.
Justice: Qalb Al Adala (2017)
Well Written - Good Cast
It's a milestone show for a Middle East production. Well written, well acted, good cast, and it's breaking new ground locally in UAE. It follows an ambitious young female lawyer who got her law degree in the US and instead of joining her father's law firm back at home she decides to go out on her own as a defense attorney, pushing the legal and cultural envelope in the process. I think they do a good job of portraying Arab family dynamics and address universal human concerns In story-of-the-week elements. I think it helps immensely regarding it's appealing storytelling in that it was created with an Emmy award-winning producer with credits from LA Law and NYPD Blue. Two thumbs up.
VANish (2015)
Great Job For First Time Director
Bryan did a fantastic job on this first movie - its horror - its a fun ride. Maiara Walsh kicked butt, Danny Trejo was classic Danny (LOL) and Candy Man Tony Todd was a delight to work with. Hollywood's a beyotch to get into - those who try know that. It's not easy making a movie - its not easy getting distribution either and they did it. Two thumbs up.
The movie was shot entirely in the van - all of it. Bryan was adamant about accomplishing that - and he did it.
It's action packed - bloody - worth the time to grab a few beers, chips and popcorn and just go with it.
