American Reject (2020)
Inside Look
An inside look at how being on a "reality" competition show can change your life. It's not all sunglasses and autographs and the mental weight is heavier than the audience knows.
Very good movie.
Good Boy! (2003)
Cute Flick for the open-minded
Something that totally drives me up the wall is when adults go into movies like this expecting "Gone With the Wind". It's a KIDS movie...the plot will be light, the acting maybe not so hot, and the jokes a bit lame at times. That is expected. You have to take each movie for what it is trying to achieve. This movie is trying to be a fun two hours without taking itself too seriously. And it does that very well. I am an educated movie-goer and I enjoyed this film very much. The actors chosen to provide the voices for the dogs were well selected and I am hoping to see more out of Liam Aiken in the next few years.
Cute dogs, cute laughs, cute movie.
50 First Dates (2004)
Not your typical Sandler
If you're looking for a typical Adam Sandler gross out juvenile schtick movie then skip this one. 50 First Dates shows the more mature and sweeter side of Adam that has not been spotted since his last pairing with Barrymore in The Wedding Singer. They seem to have great chemistry here and I wouldn't mind seeing them paired up again in the future. While the movie was very funny and heart-warming it also left me a little depressed. I felt bad for the characters having to deal with her short term memory problem every day for the rest of their lives. I thought the BoSox part was hilarious and I had to explain to my friend who isn't much of a baseball fan.
The Slipper and the Rose: The Story of Cinderella (1976)
Once I Was Loved again and again...
This is a great film with great music. I am sorry that it didn't win those Oscars...I guess you just can't beat "You Light Up My Life" and "A Little Night Music". The soundtrack just came out on CD earlier this month and the video came out earlier this year...I urge you all to get them. They are definitely worth the money! I collect all movies Cinderella and "Slipper and the Rose" is the pride of my collection.
