Boring
8 November 2023
I haven't read the book but I heard it was great so I thought I'd give this documentary a try. I turned it off after 20 minutes, this was so boring and i didn't understand the point of it. I had to come online and read the reviews to see if I was alone and I wasn't and others were equally unimpressed.

This is very serious and very dry, nothing he speaks about is new, it has been spoken about time and time again and his life IMO isn't that interesting. Actually it was very depressing, I get he wants us to embrace the negative aspects of life and see the positive in it but the way it was delivered was so somber and the music and the set up of him just sitting in a chair was sad.

I Wouldn't recommend and will not be going back to it.

A depressing disappointment
25 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was intrigued after the first maybe 2-3 episodes but then it just felt like, what is going on here?

The main character was horrible, j didn't find him likeable at all, he treated everyone like crap. I didn't know by the end of the show if I was meant to like him or not because I left not liking him at all. Shruti, such a sad ending wish that wasnt in there. U didn't like the last couple of episodes either.

I was just very disappointed in general. Only good thing I suppose it's that it is a glimpse into how tense the work conditions are for NHS workers. Definitely will not be recommending.

The Hunt (II) (2020)

My kind of movie
20 February 2022
I enjoyed it from the start to finish. Maybe the last 3 minutes could've been more effective at closing out the movie but the last fight scene was funny and well choreographed.

Dark, sattire with humour is my kind of thing so this was up my street and I wasnt disappointed.

Engaging and though provoking
16 January 2022
The harsh criticism is uncalled for in my opinion. It shows so many different workplace issues and it kept me engaged all the way through.

I would say that Maya was definitely a bit obsessive and it would've been good to see her focus on other topics not just the one involving tess but I understand that was the point of the show. I didn't like the cheese club either that was silly and I can agree much of the cast was unlikeable but that is the point I think. Did we even see Maya's mother shed a tear?

Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.

My kind of dark comedy
28 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Light, funny, interesting, great cast. Kept me glued throughout. When it ended I realised that there was just the right amount of darkness to it that I love.

Did the TV presenter know all along that the wife was lying, but continued because it brought more publicity to her endeavours? Did the chief officer also know the wife was lying but kept quiet so that it didn't portray his station in a bad light? I was not expecting so much death towards the end either, that caught me by surprise.

All in all, an easy watch.

Boring and could've been much better
11 October 2021
I was really looking forward to this and was hugely dissappinted. I see how they were trying to develop a murder mystery theme, and the podcast was a nice modern twist seen how we are all on social media these days but it was just missing something and fell very flat. I liked the two males but Selena was so one lifeless, I don't remember her acting being this stiff ,however I last watched her on the Disney channel so my reference point for her acting skills is not the strongest lol. Maybe if she was cast with someone else it would've created more spark between the three but this aspect really put me off getting past the 2nd episode.

The show is also quite boring it doesn't flow, I can't see how the reviews have been so positive and it got picked up for a second season but I suppose when big names are backing the show anythings possible :/

Unreslistic
11 September 2021
I tried to watch til the end but couldn't get past 1 hour. They storyline was just so unrealistic and quite cringey. Love Christina Milan and Asian bae from insecure but I wouldn't recommend this.

Beautiful scenery however and nice cast.

Cinderella (I) (2021)

Shouldn't be called Cinderella
3 September 2021
10 minutes in and already maybe 3 songs, kind of off-putting and annoying. Are they in England ? Alot of English cast but Cinderella is American quite strange. Why are they revamping old songs, don't like it and there all old old songs like 80s. It takes away from the feel of Cinderella. How amazing at the entrance to the ball to see women of different ethnicities dressed in the cultural attire-e.g. African, Indian saris loved this, would love to know which part of the worlds the other dresses were from. Loved the scenes where original music was used eg.the shining star song where the godmother comes, feels more fairy tale esque. Loved the modern twist where women don't seem like the usual damsel in distresses, girl bosses. Camulla was a great choice for cinderella and I can see her doing naby other acting roles, definitely in comedy . The guy who narrates and raps inbetween scenes is dreadful, stiff and annoying. I wouldve preferred if this wasn't called cinderella as it taints the sentiment if the original, this plot was weak.
